On June 23, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., I purchased several items, including two hats. Before completing my purchase, I asked the cashier whether I could return the hats if my son did not like them. The cashier informed me that I could do so as long as I kept the tags attached and brought the receipt. On June 25, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m., I returned to the store to exchange the hats. When I greeted the cashier, Kim, with "Good morning," her response was, "I heard you." I then explained that I was there to return the hats. Kim immediately stated, "We don't accept returns." I explained that I had specifically asked about the return policy at the time of purchase and had been told that returns were accepted with the receipt and tags attached. Kim replied that she did not know who I had spoken with and repeated that the store did not accept returns. I then requested that she show me where this policy was stated in writing. At that point, Kim called the store manager. The manager informed me that an exchange could be processed. I presented my driver's license and was prepared to provide my receipt. Surprisingly, no one asked to see the receipt. As the line behind me continued to grow, I politely suggested that they assist the waiting customers while my transaction was being processed. I was told, "No, I am in the middle of it. They can wait." I was then informed that I needed to provide my passport. Since I did not have it with me, I had to return home and retrieve it. When I came back, Kim appeared confused about my middle name and last name and proceeded to enter my personal information into the computer system, including my home address. I found the request for my passport unnecessary and invasive, particularly because I had already presented a valid driver's license and was exchanging a low-cost item. The process left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about the collection of my personal information. What should have been a simple exchange became a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I was disappointed not only by the inconsistent information regarding the return policy but also by the manner in which I was treated throughout the transaction. I respectfully request that Walgreens review this incident, clarify its identification requirements for returns and exchanges, and provide additional customer-service training to ensure customers are treated with courtesy and respect. As I am at the cash register I noticed immediately that the wall behind the register has a giant Green sea turtle shell. I was so sad, the guy looked at me and said It washed up on the shore. These ancient creatures have been on Earth for more than 100 million years even surviving the dinosaurs when they became extinct 65 million years ago. Among the threats these marine reptiles face are entanglement, habitat loss, and consumption of their eggs and meat. First of all when sea turtles are washed on the shore or any other marine animal like dolphins, whales or porpoises, they are to be reported to the Marine Animal Society. Sea turtles have been a a highly protected because our species knows no boundaries and have pushed this animal to the verge of extinction so that we can have shiny thingy mabobs made from their shell. Their flesh is extremely fine and considered a delicacy. Like we don't have enough food source in this planet already??? It is ILLEGAL to keep and hold sea turtles, eggs, shells, or any part of the animal. It is as illegal as keeping a Bald eagle or a feather of the Bald eagle. If the animal washed up a shore the corpse was attached to the shell, It is illegal to harvest the animal for its shell. It is illegal to display the animals wall without a proper PERMIT. It is not a trophy. And these guys are like it washed up a shore. Why do humans think they can claim everything they touch? People were buying food, chicken, potatoes, etc. and it seemed really popular. There were picnic tables outside and everyone seemed really friendly. I was mostly annoyed to stand there waiting just to get change. Thankfully we made a habit of holding onto quarters the rest of the trip so we could get in quickly for the air the tire needed. This RaceTrac is located in Marathon and seems to be one of only a few stations that I know and trust. It seems I wasn't the only one with this opinion on a weekday morning - this place was busy, either they are competitively priced or they have great coffee, I filled my coffee cup before leaving the campground so I only need a credit card and a empty lane at the fuel island. No issues with the pump everything worked alright including the receipt dispenser. Navigating my exit was a little like playing "frogger" it seemed everyone was in a hurry to exit but me. I exercised my patience and waved a few vehicles on being they apparently were late for something as for me I only need to get behind a line of cars heading south with the windows down and the tunes turned up breathing in the salty air.
