I've been in customer service for 14 years, if you don't want to help others in the health industry- get out. I was just in the ER, a scary situation. Never been on life-saving meds in my life. Never been in the ER. Never been on prescriptions and I walk up to the front desk at the pharmacy and the girl with the red hair is already giving me attitude. I ask is my prescription ready yet, she asks for my name and goes "no" with an attitude and tone of a teenager. I ask do you know when it will be ready? "We'll call you." OK do you have my phone number? She didn't even ask but assumed it was correct. It wasn't. I proceeded to give her my new number. I find out later that the number was never changed. So NO, I was not going to get a phone call. She needs to shadow someone in the morning or get more training, and it's not about being new to an industry, it's about having the decency to do your job WITHOUT ATTITUDE. I have to commend a fill-in pharmacist named Orlando, who filled in on January 16th. An older pharmacist who showed care and compassion to what I could afford with my insurance and savings card. Susie, the regular day pharmacist was also incredible and showed care and understanding of my situation both on the phone and through drive-thru. I appreciate the young pharmacist- Peter for trying to work with the provider to change my prescription, I know it wasn't easy. The rest of the staff- the lady with short black hair in a pony tail who runs the drive-thru at night seemed to also have an attitude when I complimented Orlando for helping me with my prescription. I was smiling and genuine. Instead of saying "I'm glad it worked out!" She went "Wasn't this the same prescription that Peter got ready for you, but you left?" No smile, nothing. Firstly who says something like that? Like I left on purpose just because. No it isn't the same RX and secondly I had to get back to work and couldn't wait for my RX. I was waiting for 45+ minutes and was already late back into work. Be happy for me that I can get my prescription that can save my life! WOW. Understandably everyone is stressed with Covid and the pressure it puts on everyone but that's NO EXCUSE for crappy customer service or attitudes. Bottom line, if anyone has to use this pharmacy, pick up your prescriptions during the morning when the pharmacists and pharmacy techs are caring and compassionate.
