Large Machines mostly marked out of order - even the unmarked ones do not work. No one in the building at all 6:45pm on a Thursday.

My wife bought one of those Ruggables. You know... The washable rugs. They are kind of on a room sized pad of velcro like material. When it is dirty, you just rip up the rug from the pad and wash it. Ours is much too big and heavy for our home washer, so we take it to the laundromat. Now, I haven't used a laundromat very many times in my life. But, we used Google to find one in our area. It seemed that the Kwik Wash on Grissom Road was the closest. It was less than five minutes from the house, so we went. There were only about six or seven people there while we were there. Some of them came and went, but we stayed until the rug was washed and dried. The machines we used were nice modern-looking and industrial strength. There were a few that were out of order on the back wall, but they looked like they were going to be removed and replaced. There were a lot of machines, so finding one to use was not hard. The instructions are clearly displayed on them, which is good for those of us who are one time visitors. It took a lot of quarters, but we came prepared. Besides, they have several change machines, had we needed them. The machines we used were very clean. In fact, although this place shows its age, everything seemed clean and well cared for. There were two gentlemen actually painting the walls while we were there. There are plenty of signs telling you to walk carefully and keep an eye on your things. We were completely finished washing and drying the rug within an hour. When we put it back down at the house, I was very impressed with how clean it was. While going to a laundromat is not something I hope to do on the regular, I wouldn't mind going to this one. Overall, it met my expectations and needs. Doing laundry is never fun, but the staff here keep things clean and running. It could use some fixing up but there are plenty of tables to fold on, huge washers for large items or really big loads. And, maybe the best, as hot as it's been, it stays comfortable! Laundry can be hot, sweaty business, but this laundromat stays cool and comfortable. And it's close to my home! read more

I hadn't gone to a laundromat location in forever. I needed to wash some blankets/throws that were too big for my washer. Took them here. Really awesome place. Yes it looks old, yes it's a bit torn down (the building), but the washers and customer service are awesome. There's different size and prices on the washers. There's different kinds of dryers as well. If you have nickels, or dimes there's a machine to change them to quarters. Of course there's machines for dollar bills too. There's a vending machine and space to sit while you wait. Overall 10/10 read more

This Kwik Wash location is neither better nor worse than any other laundromat. I go about once a year to wash comforters in the big machines at the back of the store. The store is flanked by a convenience store on the right and a sports bar on the left. Bill Miller and Whataburger are located right across the street. So there is plenty to keep you occupied if you're willing to step away from your laundry. Most of the machines were working on my most recent visit, and I was never afraid of being knifed. Pro tip: Get your detergent and other supplies at the Dollar Tree beforehand instead of spending $1 apiece for the two-ounce detergent packets from the vending machine here. You might also consider grabbing a roll of quarters at the HEB customer service counter so you won't be disappointed by an out-of-order change machine at the Kwik Wash. read more

This place is the only local laundry mat and as such, sometimes I have to go here. The biggest problems with this location are that many of the washers and the dryers are not working. The staff is quite good at putting the "out of order" tags on the machines but sometimes it's too late. The Hispanic woman the seems to always be there in the mornings (with at least one of her daughters) is very diligent in her duties. I always observe her mopping the floors, wiping down the machines, and other associated duties. She probably deserves a raise. The bathroom is supposed to be new so if in fact it is, then I sure am glad I never saw the old one. This laundry mat is conveniently located next to a stop and rob, oops, convenience store. Don't ask the Indian guy inside for quarters as he will get a little upset at you. Not that you should have to as the laundry mat has a change machine and it has always worked for me. Anyway, aside from the "out of order" machines, this place fulfils its obligation as a laundry mat. Yes, the do have vending machines for snacks, sodas, and for laundry supplies. The also have a couple of video games (large arcade style c. 1980s). I think one is Centipede. read more

Went to laundromat as washer and dryer in need of repair. Read reviews they are true. Machines may take your money and you aren't guaranteed a refund that day. They said they would refund $2.50 by mail and not their policy to refund change at the ice cream machine if it takes your money. Buyer beware read more

My dryer broke and it was raining so I had no choice but to go to a laundry mat. This ones the closest to me. Next time i need to go to a laundry mat which I hope there won't be a next time, I'll go to a different one. Half the machines here are out of order and it's so dirty in here. read more

I'm here at this kwik wash and it's locked me out when I went to get a drink next to the location and it was only 8:50 when it's clearly posted 10:00pm I'm not sure what 10:00pm in the owners country means but 10:00pm in the USA means 10:00pm so now they are attempting to steal my cloths. If they want my underwear that bad that they cloths a laundry mat early.. Then by all means take it that's what happens when u try to save a buck by coming out to the meadow ghetto lesson learned!!!! It's 0100. The sign on the door reflects 0600-2300 business hours. How am I in here at 0100 then? I'm up late preparing for a lengthy upcoming adventure. Seven loads of laundry staring me in the face. What? Don't judge me! Rather than spend my last leisure Saturday for many Saturdays to come doing laundry, I loaded the car up & went in search of an open laundromat. I stopped at this one, not too far from the house. Never been here, not a laundromat kinda chick. I walked up to the door & tugged. No love. On my way back to the car, the business door pops open, a strange little man stares bleary-eyed at me. I ask, 'Are you open, can I do laundry?' He mutters, 'Yeah, come on in.' I grab my baskets & head for the door. Once inside, the little man engages me in chit chat. It's then I realize this man is a transient. Somehow, he's being allow to stay in this place. I load up 7 washers all the while engaging in witty repartee with Mr Drinkstoomuch. He implores I provide him with loose change when I'm done. I intend to. As strange as this evolution's been, I'm only able to complete my mission this early morning due to Mr Drinkstoomuch. I'll warn you this place is quite the dump, but I'm not looking to buy, only trying to do a few loads of laundry at 1am. So if you find yourself in my predicament, head on over. But if you have any other options, stay the hell away from this place. read more

This is the most disgusting laundromat ive ever seen. It reeks of mildew, the floors are tore up, washers are missing, with plywood everywhere, the washers they have are filthy and half them don't work. the entire place looks like an abandoned crack house.Just go down the street on culebra there are 2 more laundromat that are WAY nicer and cleaner. read more

while only 3 dryers were down, easily half of the machines( including most of the high capacity ones) were out of order.. one tag was over a year old! ..the place was filthy, and along the wall of vending machines/ video games was flooded. hard to find an open machine when you had several families using multiple machines at once.. one woman had no less than 6 washers going at one time, and another was bouncing between at least 4. for an emergency :staying in hotel until we can move into our new home after moving to San Antonio: one time only deal, it was doable. we would NOT come back a second time read more

It's okay, took me awhile to find a washing machine to use, a lot were broken down, one was full of water :/ but I got my clothes cleaned and dried. I noticed there was someone working there who did nothing, your washers are covered in spilled laundry detergent, can't wipe them down? Just saying.
