At my most recent visit, I checked in as usual and was then called back to the front desk and told-- for the first time--that they now require a credit or debit card to be kept on file. I was not informed of this policy in advance when scheduling my appointment. I explained that I do not have a card on file, but I was fully prepared to pay my copay at the time of the visit, as I always have. Despite that, I was refused care. What was most concerning was not just the policy itself, but how it was handled: - No prior notice of the change - Being told only after check-in - No accommodation offered, even for a long-time patient in good standing I later confirmed this is a corporate policy and no exceptions are made. Patients should be aware that even if you are willing and able to pay at the time of service, you may be denied care if you do not provide a card on file. I recommend asking about this policy before scheduling. and have always paid my copays and any out-of-pocket costs at the time of service. She's so friendly, welcoming, and always had an answer to my questions. The procedure I had done was lower blepharoplasty. Surgery took place on a thursday. Post-op wasn't bad at all. No pain, no discomfort, minimal bruising, and I was back to work by Monday. My eye bags were something I was always so insecure about, so after some research, I scheduled my consult. Best thing I have done for myself! My confidence has never been so high. Highly recommend!
