I wish I could give Sylvia 100 stars! I've been to several estheticians to help address my congested skin, each with their own philosophies and methods. I had given each one a try for a length of time hoping their method would work for me, as you can assume - that search didn't stop until I met Sylvia! I so look forward to my time with her as her facials are incredibly relaxing, but most importantly I know my skin is in good hands and I've seen the changes over the last few months. During my sessions with her, she listens to me about what has been going on with my skin and doesn't have a cookie cutter regimen that she follows - she truly does customize each treatment and it makes all the difference. I wanted my mom to experience Sylvia's expertise and purchased a gift card for my mom for Mother's Day. Sylvia went above and beyond for my mom and did so much more to make my mom feel pampered, relaxed & helped her achieve her skin goals! This meant a lot to both my mom & to me. She truly does care about your skincare needs and will take the time with her expertise to help you get there! Some side notes: She's super easy to get ahold of but do book in advance. Her shop is super cute, ridiculously clean, comfortable and she has snacks! She actually has a facial chair (who knew those existed!) that warms up and reclines comfortably - no laying on a hard table. So I have never had microdermabrasion before and decided to give it a try after I seen a really good deal on Groupon. I scheduled an appointment for my first session, since I bought the groupon for 3, She was able to get me in the next day. It's kind of in a hidden location. I assumed she was inside spa 56 but she is her own shop. It's very cute. It's very quiet and relaxing. I arrived with a full face of makeup from work, and she cleansed my face an took all my makeup off. The session lasted an hour. The microdermabrasion itself was pretty interesting. It's not painful at all, it's more confusing on what you're feeling. After she did the microdermabrasion she put a mask on my face then did a hand treatment while I waited. She was very personable and I really enjoyed the session. My next appointment is in two weeks:) My face feels really clean, almost brand new. read more

Not only is the place decorated beautifully and welcoming, you can tell she puts a lot of thought into ensuring her clients are comfortable. She has water, snacks, and one of my favorite chocolates always available. Also the place is spotless. I love how everything is so organized. She is super accommodating to my crazy schedule right now and she does an amazing job. Brazilian waxes are very personal and can be awkward, but she makes me feel right at ease and takes the awkwardness away immediately. She does great facials and she knows her stuff. She is honest and will tell you if you actually would benefit from a certain product or service or not. I highly recommend her. She's amazing! read more

Was a little hard trying to even contact or get ahold of this person, I don't know if they work from home or if they work in a real business but she's never open on weekends & week days she's off by 2pm!!! Which sucks for people who have jobs lol usually I go to European wax center but being that I just moved here to Manteca & they don't have one I found this spot with decent reviews & wanted to give her a try but she's never available the times I am, so sadly couldn't book! I wish I could get Sylvia's facials at least monthly..It's such a treat! Sylvia definitely knows her stuff and she is very sweet. I've had micorderm, pumpkin peel, etc and I always look and feel great after. Her studio is cute, clean, and very soothing -- I hate leaving lol. While the product is working it's magic on your face Sylvia gives a moisturizing hand treatment/massage, and she usually works in a scalp massage too. I was there last week and she did dermafile on me (sounds horrible but it's not bad at all) - my skin looks beautiful. 5 Stars is really not enough! Sylvia really knows skin! She has a lot of in-dept knowledge of skin biology, so you can really trust her skin-care advice! ( I'm a Bio grad..trust me). The place is so cute and clean! I was scheduled for a microdermabrasion but after assessing my skin Sylvia suggested a different (cheaper) procedure that she felt was better for me- unheard of right? So it's safe to say she is a very honest person that just loves what she does. Also, at the end of our visit she gave me free samples of skincare products that she really wanted me to use and try before buying them. I found Sylvia from Yelp and google. My skin is very very sensitive and acne prone both oily and dry. I originally started going to her for waxing after trying threading and still breaking out. I'm very glad I started with her. My skin is so much better and way less break outs. She now does all my waxing and skincare. She is the best person to go to. Sylvia is fantastic! I've been going to her for nearly two years now. She has a great room set up in central Manteca with easy parking. She gives fantastic facials and knows a ton about skin. Unlike other places I've been, Sylvia isn't shy about extractions (which is why I go for facials in the first place); but it's still very relaxing.
