Scott got us fully geared up and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free--super friendly and clearly knows his stuff. Anne was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, taking the time to make sure everyone felt confident and prepared. And Annie brought such a calm, welcoming energy that instantly put everyone at ease. Now the dive itself... unreal. We saw lemon sharks, bull sharks, massive Goliath groupers, and even a tiger shark. It was one of those dives you replay in your head all day because you can't believe how incredible it was. Everything felt safe, organized, and genuinely fun. The crew clearly loves what they do, and it shows in every detail. Hands down, one of the best ways to spend a Tuesday. Can't wait to go back.

The boats are nice, they have the type of tank holders that means I can actually stand up in my doubles despite being short, fin-friendly ladders make it easy to get back on, and the deckhands (hi, Ryan!) are immediately there to help you with your fins before guiding you back to your seat. The dive briefings give a good explanation of the topography and also the marine life to look out for. Oh, and soda and snacks on board! The shop staff are also really great. They're quick on fills and have 3 analyzers so I don't have to use my personal one in the interest of time. They have always been so friendly and welcoming, and an extra thank you to Marcelo who is always willing to help me with my doubles when I get them filled. I really appreciate that they have three large rinse bins and a hose so that I can easily take care of my gear as soon as I get off the boat. They also have this great bench right by the dock which is perfect for me to setup/teardown my doubles since I prefer to do that on land. A few things to know: 1) It is drift diving, you need to carry an SMB, preferably with a spool. Knowing how to shoot it from depth is extra helpful. 2) The dives tend to be on the deeper side. Nitrox (36% works great) will let you get the most out of your day. 3) Tanks are not included in the boat fee, which I actually appreciate because I bring my own and would rather not pay for tanks I'm not using, but it's good to keep in mind if you do rent. 4) Captain Tom is from Brooklyn and will have trouble with your name if it's uncommon. The fix for this is to dive on his boat a lot, consistently. I'm still working on diving enough from the Republic IV for Tom to remember my last name. We're getting there! ;) All in all, Jupiter has some great reefs and great drift diving and I highly recommend you check it out with JDC!

I believe it was Adam who I spoke with on the phone who answered so many questions. Then I dove with Sandy who did my lionfish hunting certification, she was so helpful and was very passionate about her teaching. She worked really hard to make sure we found a few to hunt. Their store is very nice and a lot of good equipment. I had a few dives cancel for weather and they were very communicative about if something canceled. I will definitely be diving with them again!!

Here's what was…read moreimportant to me and why I think Kirk is the best: 1) I wanted to do scuba diving with my kids for their 13th birthday & Kirk gave me so much info and was so helpful with educating me on how we could do it & what our limitations would be. 2) We did not have to take multiple classes or have any certifications. All we had to do was download an app on our phones and answer some questions & watch some videos to educate us on the basics of scuba diving. Super simple & fun. 3) Kirk gave us an address to meet them at we showed up and he went through the details and what we were going to be doing & how the equipment worked. 4) Kirk has a presence about him that is calming and his charismatic ways of breaking down fears and anxiousness about scuba diving make it clear we chose the right place. 5) Kirk did not disappoint! We saw a shipwreck with coral, tons of fish and lobsters! We also saw 3 HUGE ORANGE STARFISH. We saw a puffer fish, really cool jellyfish & literally tons of different kinds of fish too. 6) This is an adventure that has blown our minds. We each were in awe of what we all saw & experienced. I truly think choosing Kirk's Dive & Surf was the best choice & we will be seeing more of Kirk. 7) Kirk's shop is in downtown Jensen right next to Mulligans (a great restaurant for the family). Stop by and see him and let him know Adam Portzel referred you!

She stated that…read morethey no longer honor those cards and haven't for at least 5 years yet we pre-paid for 25 refills and had 8 fills remaining PLUS we had tanks filled last year. This is FRAUD! She bought the business from her ex-husband on 4/9/25. Since then, the store has gone downhill. She hired kids (which is good) but they are under 18 and cannot fill tanks legally so we left our tanks. When we inquired about hours, we were told they would be opened until 4:00pm but when we drove 45 minutes we found the store closed with no signs on the door. We tried calling but they don't have voice mail set up. She said she gets "thousands of calls" and didn't want to set it up. Employees park in the parking spot reserved for loading/unloading tanks so we had to walk our tanks across the parking lot. We will not be using their shop any longer and I would others to stay away. There are better dive shops in the area.

They provided a good safety briefing and shared things about the sharks, setting the stage for an adventure. The crystal-clear water made it easy to spot a variety of sharks, including bull sharks and even a glimpse of a sand, not from a wanting distance. but safe yes. The guides were incredibly there, making sure everyone felt good and throughout the entire thing. They were nice when answering questions and pointing out interesting marine life, making the experience fun. The snorkeling gear was in an okay condition, and the boat was clean and well-maintained. It's clear that this company prioritizes both the safety of their guests and the well-being of the sharks. If you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping yet responsible way to experience Florida's marine life, look no further. Shark snorkeling with this company exceeded all expectations, leaving me with an appreciation for these magnificent creatures and a desire to return for another dive. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an adventure they'll never forget! but there is no cage, don't hope for one! although i bet you can get some on other boats i think they just want you to feel comfortable, i do not recommend the cage! i feel even if your scared its epic with out it! not a variety of sharks, but thats ultimately fine.. its the best go 100%!!

Before booking, we were very clear that we were relatively new divers and had never done a drift dive. We specifically expressed that we wanted to feel safe and properly supported. We were assured it would be fine, but once we were in the water, the support simply wasn't there. There was very little help with weights at the start. I quickly realized I was underweighted and had to go back and get more, which immediately separated me from the group. From there, things only got worse. I ended up alone on the reef during a drift -- something that should never happen -- and ultimately had to surface solo and wait for the boat by myself. To make matters worse, my surface marker/flag device wouldn't inflate properly, and I had to be picked up alone. At no point did I feel like anyone from the team was proactively ensuring I was safe or accounted for. Afterward, the only response I received was essentially, "Sorry you had a bad experience." That was the extent of the support. The diving itself may be beautiful, but the staff's lack of attentiveness and concern for client safety and experience was deeply disappointing. When newer divers communicate nervousness and inexperience with drift diving, that should be taken seriously -- not brushed aside. This wasn't about conditions or bad luck. It was about a lack of care and leadership. I would not recommend this operation to newer divers, and I left feeling unsettled rather than excited about the dive.

Communication was excellent during both the booking process and the trip itself. Everything was well organized and clearly taken care of. The dive itself was exceptional, with loggerhead turtles, goliath groupers, lemon sharks, and bull sharks all making appearances. The next day I booked a guided night dive at Blue Heron Bridge with Ethan. Once again, the communication was top-notch. Ethan was a fantastic guide, expertly taking us to several micro-environments and pointing out an incredible variety of critters--many of which I had never seen before, even though I had visited the bridge a couple of times previously.
