Last March, I got into a small accident (~$5000) in a parking lot, the only vehicle involved, no other damage. When I called Linda's office, they recommended a good repair shop and I am 98% satisfied with the work. The issues come about when Linda flagged the accident against my driving record (expected), AND my wife's record. My premium didn't just go up, it went through the roof. $235 was standard monthly rate, the next month it went to $345, the next month to $555...A MONTH, no warning or reason, just a new bill in the mail. When I had to add my daughter to my insurance policy (she got her license), Linda wanted $789/Month to add her. So, I called around for price quotes. Other insurance companies asked me how my wife and I both were drivers in the same accident on the same day in the same vehicle, but my current insurance company sure didn't want to talk about it... When I called Linda's Allstate back and asked why the accident was on both of our records, they refused to remove the accident from my wife's driving record, and they refused to adjust my bill from being over-charged. This was on/or about the 20th of the month, so I asked if I was paid current, and I was. I let her know I was canceling my policy at the end of the month, and I did. Now, she has sent me bills for another $440, that I will absolutely not pay, and she has turned ME in to collections, now screwing up my credit. I will say her staff is always pleasant to speak with, always with a smile while they stab you in the back. I do not recommend Linda Darnell's Allstate office.

I'm a bargain shopper and couldn't believe that State Farm was the best bang for our buck. Second: their customer service is absolutely top notch. We had to get a title bond, and they met us after hours, not once but twice to help us with it. My husband works out of town so he isn't always available in normal business hours. But, on top of that, Jeremy came to us at a restaurant we were at to assist us, even after he was dealing with an ill family member in the hospital. We are blown away by their service. Absolutely blown away. I will enthusiastically recommend them to everyone I know.

Initially I was very excited to switch to Allstate after being with State Farm for over 7 years. When I went in the agent said that was not possible, but it was fine because the quote was the same with my husband and me on the policy because my accident was not showing up. Sharon told me I was ready to go. A few days later I receive emails stating I need to show proof I was with State Farm for so many year. I submitted it. Then I receive emails stating she needs proof of payment (which you would think if I had been with them 7 years I was paying my bill). Finally, once I turn everything in Sharon emails me to let me know that someone deleted my accident from their system and my payment is going to have to go up and I cannot sign the waiver excluding me as a driver. I would have been better off staying with State Farm. They may be just as expensive, but at least the give you their pricing upfront!

When I questioned why this policy even exists, she argued instead of explaining or offering alternatives. She could have been upfront from the very first moment I asked about it -- instead of wasting my time with unnecessary personal information. Extremely disappointing and unhelpful customer service.
