Deceptive business practices!! A couple of years into solar…read morepanel ownership. Here's some things they don't tell you when they sell you a system for $25,000. Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

In addition, make sure all the permit is pulled with your municipal, along with the correct schematics for the solar panels, both were an issue here. After speaking with Adam Perri, Director of Windfree Solar, I was told, due to the workers were subcontractors, the destruction of my personal outdoor equipment and garage was not Windfree problem. All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!

Initially, my rebate was approved for payment before ComEd went back and rejected it. Certasun had been trying to get ComEd to reverse their decision with no success. The main issue was the total lack of communication from Certasun, which the exec assures me will be changed. In order to make me whole, Certasun has sent me a check to cover the rebate.

They decided to refund my $1800 for removal and not pursue working with me since their service could not "meet my satisfaction." Expecting a response within a week is reasonable for any active business this size. If you read the review of others here you will conclude that I am not the only customer who has experienced lagged and/poor communication. I suggest you improve your support workflow in order to thrive in this industry. In the few hours that have gone by, I was able to get a quote and schedule service with another local company. Original Review Do not rely on this company for good customer service from the operations end, good communication or follow-up. They require you to pay an invoice before any work is done. However, when it comes time to schedule the service no matter how many messages you leave or emails you send, don't expect to hear back from them. On 06/19/21 I wrote to Chris and sent her the estimate with the damage. Her response was that she would have to get back to me after speaking to the big boss. Then after we were told that no payment will be made for the repairs and we were not offered the option for your men to come out and fix it, nor did we want them too after seeing the careless job they did. I will admit our roof was a challenge and I fully blame Nate at Phoenix for pushing this project forward. However, these mistakes mentioned below and the year long battle to get the job completed should have earned me a salary with the way I had to continuously contact everyone and get everyone on board. No one took ownership of this project, that was the mistake from day one.

So I probably asked a-lot more questions than the normal customer. Ultimately after reviewing multiple quotes and doing a-lot of research on my own of the proposed technology I chose RX Sun. I also chose RX Sun because they have their own in-house company to do the installations. I did not want to work with anyone who subcontracted the actual work. All the permitting and inspections were handled by RX Suns installer crew and I did not need to do anything. The installation went smoothly and they were very accommodating of my schedule for installation as my wife works nights and I could not have them on the roof during the day when she was trying to sleep. The install was very clean with no visible wire or conduit on the roof. This was a big concern because most of the systems in my neighborhood look terrible with a mess of conduit spaghetti running all over their roofs. Not my system, it looks great. Post installation there were a few configuration issues with some sensors but RX Sun and their installer crews were able to resolve them and follow up to make sure no other issues remained.

During installation, they installed a Span Panel, but tried to charge me extra to complete the 200-amp hookup--even though I had it in writing that the upgrade was part of the contract. I had to show them their own emails to avoid the extra cost. When they finally finished and the system was running, I discovered they overcharged me by $800 through the finance company. They promised a refund, but the check that arrived was $200 short. One of the main reasons I chose this company was for their unique tax incentives, but when tax time came around, they outsourced the paperwork to an outside company without giving any guidance on how to use it. I had to hire a tax consultant just to figure it out. Since the system has been running, it has never produced as much energy as promised. After I asked why, it took them two months to respond, saying "electrical noise" was to blame, but they offered no solution or fix. Then, a year after installation, a tornado damaged my roof. Before signing the contract, I specifically asked how much it would cost to take down and reinstall the panels for a roof replacement, and they quoted around $2,000. Now that I actually need the work done, they've nearly doubled that estimate, citing increased labor costs. Fortunately, insurance will cover most of it, but it took them weeks to respond, and the earliest they can start is over a month away. To be clear, everyone I've spoken to at the company has been very nice, but the business as a whole is disorganized and unprofessional. They've made multiple mistakes throughout the entire process--mistakes that would have cost me a lot of money if I hadn't been keeping a close eye on everything. In summary, everything I was promised by 93energy has fallen short. I'm sure they do well for some customers in perfect conditions, but my experience has been the opposite. It seems like their business model is to sell you the dream, but once the contract is signed, you're on your own.

I did. Then radio silence. Followed up with an email 2 days later. Again nothing. Not sure if this is a scam company - but if it's a real business, they need a serious kick in the pants.
