A friend of mine that I met on Yelp by the name of Alizul told me that she is a Pilates instructor…read moreand after I found that out I told her that one day I would like to come and join her class. I went in on the 9th of this month to try Pilates for the first time in a very long time. Walked into an empty studio and it was only her and I. I was a bit surprised that there were no other students there and I even told her. So basically it was a one on one session that started at 5:30pm. Alizul was very good at her job for only being there since middle of May. Took her time for me to follow her lead and instructions. The pace level was also great! They offer classes which include the following: Yoga, Pilates, Kyudo, Tai Chi, Laido (sword drawing), for adults, children, teens and seniors. When I walked in, Alizul made me sign a waiver for liability purposes and few other forms. Really enjoyed her class, technique, and style. Lee, who is the owner of this studio, has over 4 decades of experience in marshal arts. I didn't meet her personally, but later she sent me a text message apologizing for one of their instructors by the name of Keri. We were on our way out and Keri had a class coming in. We didn't take any of her time, but she was rude and unprofessional by saying "we have a class right now" I truly think she was having a senior moment or a bad day. They take all method of payments, has a gender neutral restrooms, street and private lot parking space. The class for an hour was $20.00 which was FANTASTIC!! Studio was super clean and fully equipped with all the amenities that you need for your classes. Thank you Lee, Alizul, and North Valley Aikikai. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested of taking any one of their classes. If I lived near by, I would become a regular member.

We pulled out our kids and were considering taking a break from TKD all together. We happen to pass by DK Dragon TKD and saw a summer special. I spoke to Master Danny Kim (owner) and just wanted a lil info but he invited me to sit down in his office. He wanted to know what the problem was with the previous TKD location, and he was genuine about addressing those concerns. He got me to sign up for the summer special. My kid was hooked. Master Kim is extremely attentive to his students. He has a real flair for keeping young kids engaged. Discipline is taught at any martial arts studio, but Master Kim, Master Rojo, Master George and the other instructors really know how to balance, administer and teach the kids. You can tell how effective their teachings are because they have attracted a very large clientele. Word of mouth travels fast, especially amongst parents of the same schools, sports leagues, and play groups. Master Kim and his staff definitely deserve all the success they have earned. Special praise to Instructor Alan. He takes the time with the younger students to teach/talk to them at their level. We see you and appreciate you, Instructor Alan.

Master Sam and his crew of coaches are super helpful and full of knowledge. Every day I go there to…read morelearn forms, step sparing, ground work, kicks and punch's. The crew and master Sam are really helpful and understanding teachers. I can understand things they explain and easily improve my work with their help. It's not only that I get to learn martial arts at the Flying Kick center, but learn discipline. I have lots of fun and learn new stuff every day. If you or anyone you know want to go to a karate place and learn karate I wouldn't recommend any other place but here.

Where do I began!!! (I never write reviews btw)…read more Master Sam has been a true blessing I wish I found FKMA years ago. I currently have my son Giovanni enrolled and we don't plan on going anywhere-EVER lol. I've done martial arts for a couple years so I have a pretty good idea what to look for.. these days "some" Martial Arts places treat your kid like a car payment: 8,12 and 15 month contracts plus more extra's like large cancellation fee's. I went 7 different martial locations through SFV and they all have the same carefree script plus exact crazy monthly pricing. After reading reviews I finally found Master Sam and his team at FKMA and automatically feel in love with how everything was ran. First day walking in I had an hour conversation with Giovanni in his office not even talking about martial arts .. more about Giovanni's past, present and where he would like to go in the future!!! His approach is amazing he wants your child to flourish inside and outside his classes with grades, family and friends just life in general. Shit! After the first day I walked out learning something as a parent ..he really is a awesome man.... now to his kick ass staff! Nadia Master Sam's daughter I met only a handful of times but she's a total sweetheart. AMANDA, ANDREA & NICK are perfect additions to the classes ALL BLACK BELTS they're not there to watch your kid throw lazy kicks and punches. You better come correct with the 2 ladies cause you will get called out lol this places stresses "doing it right". No push overs here trust me when I say your kid will learn and have fun doing it. Bottom line been here for a while coming 3 sometimes 4 times a week (when we can) and wouldn't change a thing. Master Sam even switched up the times later for parents to make it easier to bring your child after school and work - 4:30pm and 5:30pm sessions! Come sign up you wont be sorry- tell em Justin sent ya :)
