3.5 stars This was the perfect treat on a hot summer day in August. Good quality ingredients, lovely presentation, and friendly service. We didn't have to wait too long for our bowls. I do have to say that the concept of their place is not very original, as it's another version of Playa Bowls which originates in NJ. They also add apple juice to their acai which is a no no for me. Also would be nice if they used more compostable/recyclable materials. Not sure if I'd be back, but maybe if I'm in the area and craving a bowl.

Definitely recommend. My mom loved this restaurant when we came to visit Myrtle beach. Their Açaí bowls are so good. Too sweet for my personal preference, but still very good. Service was great. Would not recommend their iced coffee though. Just the bowls or smoothies.

The bowls are amazing. Don't be put off by any of the items, the green bowls do not taste green at all! All of them are enjoyable I'm sure. The ingredients are fresh, it takes time to make them but not too long no matter how long the line can be. The service is great! Everyone is helpful and nice! We got exactly what we wanted. Be sure that you want to pay $10 for a bowl and $7 for a smoothie but it's good and it's HEALTHY! Definitely a good alternative to a smoothie from somewhere else. You'll leave energized opposed to dragging around bloated. Highly recommend, be prepared for the surrounding community to not support wearing a face covering but the employees at this establishment abide by the cdcs rules so, you're in good hands there.

It would have been a 5 Star if the time was shorter. We waited 15 maybe 20 Min for a bowl. Now, I will say the wait was worth it. The base was blended right - thick consistency that makes an açaí bowl perfect. Lots of toppings. Loved the Nutella. The space is tight but that's really all the room they have to work with. Friendly/outgoing staff. Worth the stop. I would say the Product 5 Star. People 5 Star. Process 3 Star. They'll get faster with time.

So healthy you can taste it. Myrtle Beach's first acai bowl line of shops offering up healthy Acai Bowls, Pitaya Bowls, Green Bowls, Oatmeal Bowls, Smoothies & Fruit 'N' Yogurt Parfaits. Showing my wife that I was man enough to venture out into the world of fresh fruits and not processed sugar, I ordered the #2 Blueberries, strawberries, granola, & honey parfait. Greek yogurt lightly sweetened with honey and mixed with granola and topped with sliced strawberries and blueberries. It was a blend of smoothness, crunchiness and freshness, with a hint of sweetness. It is more of a takeout, as no indoor seating and only a couple tables out on the sidewalk. Staff were friendly and efficient. #morselbliss

Wow, their bowls are so fresh. We ordered 2 and added peanut butter in the side (since the kids refused to get it on top). The peanut butter sauce was delicious. I basically picked the side cup lol. I do wish they had some indoor seating or seating under umbrellas as it was extremely hot and uncomfortable to be out under direct sunlight read more

As one of the only healthier breakfast options around, kosta bowls is also the best. You can taste the freshness of ingredients and presentation is always excellent. I would suggest this over another overpriced bad breakfast buffet any day!!! read more

I ordered the goin'green. The base was just okay, and there where three thin slices of kiwi. However, it had two bananas and a lot of almond butter, granola and coconut shavings. SoBol is still my favorite, but this was good. read more

My family and I enjoy Kosta Bowls. I am trying to transition to a more healthy lifestyle, especially with my food, so Kosta Bowls is a good place for us. My wife always eats fresh and healthy food, so she really likes coming here. My preference is the yogurt combinations and the oatmeal. Definitely a great way to start the morning or to eat as a light afternoon lunch. My wife likes all of the acai bowls and smoothies. My one suggestion/complaint to them would be the rewards program. Most rewards programs allow you to check-in at the restaurant before you order and get your points. Some even let you enter a receipt later on just in case you forget to check in. Here, they told me that you have to order on the app if you want to credit for the visit. I love taking part in rewards programs, especially at my favorite food and coffee places. This is the only one that I'm a part of that forces you to order on the app if you want credit for the visit. read more

One of my favorite spots for an açaí bowl in the Myrtle Beach area and a great beach treat. The bowls are always so fresh - two of my faves being the açaí and pitaya bowls - although they have a good selection of options including oatmeal and yogurt bowls. The service is fairly quick if you order in shop, although you can also order ahead. read more

This place was amazing! Really loved the atmosphere and nice welcoming customer service. We are visiting on our honeymoon and was really craving a smoothie and this place hit the spot. Also, loved the Blue line flag hung up. As a first responder myself and in a family of first responders it's so nice to know we are such a huge family around the US. Had the low tide pitaya bowl and was very fresh and good. The pitaya sorbet is made on the spot so the wait time is kind of long. But the staff is friendly and their prices are very reasonable. It hit the spot for an afternoon snack. read more

A lot of the Acai and Pitaya Bowls can be made vegan by substituting maple syrup for honey! I am told their protein has dairy in it - so vegans will want to avoid that. The bowls were delicious and the service was great. I will be back! read more

Amazing, I love açaí bowls. I'm on vacation and in PA we have a lot of places like this near us, so I found this one and was so excited. We got lost trying to find it because it is so tiny, but the inside is cute. Ordered my bowl quick but waited a little for it to actually come (understandable because it's all homemade). Swapping almond milk for coconut water now costs an extra $2. The same upcharge applies if you swap almond milk for cold brew. For a simple substitution, that feels excessive. Almond milk doesn't work for me due to oxalates, and the only "equal" swap offered is oat milk, which is highly processed and high glycemic. Coconut water, while not perfect, is the best option for me--yet it still comes with a $2 upcharge. At that point, the total is almost $20 for a smoothie bowl, which I can't justify. The quality is still there, but between the high base price and extra charges for basic swaps, I don't go nearly as often anymore.

Next day I went back for the same in a regular size. Some reviews mentioned it was not sweet. The açaí itself is not but the original has honey on top plus the sweetness of the fruit is enough. The fruit they use for toppings is fresh and the granola is crunchy and delicious. I also like that they don't nickel and dime you for adding toppings. They also give a generous portion of toppings. I generally have to pay for extra granola but that was not necessary. Service was friendly and patient. The first day it took a minute for me to decide. Second day I got there right when they were closing, well technically it was roped off already but it wasn't quite 5:50 so I was able to order. They are actually inside the mall.

Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.

It just had a really good vibe overall. I also loved how extensive the menu is. I went for breakfast, but what caught my attention is that you can order pretty much anything at any time. It's not one of those places where you're limited to breakfast items in the morning. I ordered the Tropical Bowl, and wow. It was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The coconut lime rice was packed with flavor, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and there was a sauce on top that tied everything together. The avocado was perfectly ripe, the seasoning was spot on, and the pickled onions and pineapple pico de gallo added so much freshness to the dish. Every bite just worked. I also learned that the owner attended culinary school in Cape Town, South Africa, and spent years cooking while traveling around the world. It was interesting to see how some of those global influences show up on the menu. Even the name "Lekker" comes from a South African word that's often used to describe something delicious or enjoyable, which felt pretty fitting after that meal. They also have pastries, specialty coffee drinks, brunch options, lunch items, and even cocktails. The menu is huge, and there's honestly something for everyone. I also tried a lavender latte with almond milk, and it was excellent. Between the food, the coffee, the atmosphere, and the service, this ended up being one of my favorite stops during my time in Myrtle Beach. If you're visiting Myrtle Beach, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

I literally do not understand any type of review that's not 5 stars. This place is amazing! Their bowls are always so beautiful & tasty. I come maybe twice a week and the rainbow bowl is by far my favorite!! I think the prices are reasonable for all the fruit you get in one bowl. The staff is so patient and kind & always wanting to know what you think of your bowl at the end. Yes it's a small place but they have tables outside & they'll even bring them to you People complain about the wait time which if it's busy, yes, it will take a while to finally make but do you see the ending results? Everything is so beautifully placed & the fruit is always fresh. I'd rather wait for something that I'm satisfied with than receive a bowl;smoothie;parfait that looks less than appetizing.
