The bacon is too salty and seriously overcooked, the biscuits are frozen and probably baked last week, the chicken on the salad was was small and limited it was a game of hide and seek to find it...kind made me understand why they put the dressing on the salad before they deliver it to the table; the salsa that comes with the quesadilla is really just pizza sauce..it is not salsa. First time patronizing this new breakfast spot located in Carolina Forest. It is larger than the other similar type restaurants since they took over the old Sam Sneads restaurant building. The environment is very nicely presented and open. We were warmly greeted and quickly seated. Our server, Paulo, was fast, efficient and was always checking on us. The food was good, Kim had the 2 egg, sausage and toast breakfast. They forgot the hash browns but she had enough food anyway. I got a reuben with fruit cup. It was a good sandwich. We had another delicious breakfast at The Toasted Yolk yesterday. I've been trying something new each time we go so this time I went with the Crawfish Omelette. The omelette is made with four eggs and packed with plenty of tasty crawfish tails, plenty of vegetables including jalapeños, and topped with a drizzle of Zydeco sauce. That's one hell of a good omelette. The grits were good. I always get them without cheese (grits don't need cheese). My wife enjoyed her bacon and cheese omelette. Service was top notch as always. It wasn't busy when we went although we joined the waitlist on Yelp. It wasn't needed this time but if you go during tourist season you should definitely join the waitlist list on Yelp before get there. read more

We enjoyed a late brunch on Easter Sunday. We were seated immediately and greeted shortly after by our server. I ordered the shrimp and grits and opted for no cilantro on it. I was able to enjoy 2 bites of it before I started to have an allergic reaction to a spice in the dish. We immediately searched for our server and asked for a glass of milk to help neutralize the reaction and to also find out what seasonings they use in the dish. She informed us that it is seasoned with white pepper and cayenne pepper. I explained to her that I was having an allergic reaction which she was very concerned and apologetic about. I asked for future reference if the dish can be made without the seasonings and was told no. Which is unfortunate because it was really good. The hubs ordered the country fried steak and eggs with grits. He enjoyed his dish but said he probably wouldn't order it again but said the eggs were the best scrambled eggs he had ever had in a restaurant. The restaurant is a great place for couples, families and even small groups. This was our first time here and while disappointed in the overall response (or lack of response) about my allergic reaction and any offer to make things right, we will be back again. read more

I asked for my potatoes well done and very dark. They were not and tasted gross. I also added an order of their "signature grits" (Grits with cheese) & they were poor and I didn't finish them. I think they may have been instant grits. The very small fruit cup consisted of two grapes and cantaloupe. The cantaloupe was hard & not ripe at all. I ordered Alaskan Egg Benedict. (I think they call it an Alaskan Arnold?) The English muffin was soggy and barely toasted. I have been here before and since the group wanted to go I went along. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a host. My waitress was Laura H. She was extremely sweet and attentive and gave me great breakfast recommendations. I had the churro style donuts as an appetizer and the Brisket Scramble with a sweet tea. My bill came to $30 for everything. This is my third time at this location and it has been solid everytime. Our group of 8 has gone here a few times after church. The only reason I went back is because the groupd did. Breakfast takes a long time to get, is usually cold, and the coffee is luke warm. The last time we went there, my coffee mug had a large chip missing off the top. It may have been in the coffee!! Waitress did not notice this when she brought the mug out???
