wanted some boba in the myrtle beach area so i decided to stop by this cute shop. inside was gorgeous, love the decor and ambiance. workers weren't rude but customer service can definitely be a lot better. there was no "hello" "welcome in" not even a "what can i get for you?". i ended up getting the dirty tiger, my friend got brown sugar boba but it ended up being more expensive compared to my "specialty" drink?? the drink itself was great but the boba was 100% overcooked and had an odd aftertaste. i would come back, could've just been a weird day.

Had dinner here tonight and again this place surpassed my expectations! Got the titanic boat one, which was such a deal for 5 rolls! My faves are the lemon salmon roll and the orange blossom roll. The lychee black tea was so refreshing! Love the people here and the sushi is amazing.

Service was phenomenal, very kind staff and welcoming. Food was spot on, hibachi was cooked to perfection! The poke bowl was flavorful and looked so aesthetically pleasing! The restaurant's environment is so beautiful and relaxing. The most comfiest seats and stunning decor. You HAVE to try them out!!

This place is way overpriced for what you get. We've been here for hibachi before and the prices were a little high. They have gone up even more since the last time. We decided not to even order it and just had a few appetizers, soup and salads. The house salad was a small bowl of spring mix with bo toppings at all. It would take nothing to add a slice of tomato and cucumber at minimum. We eat out almost daily from high end restaurants to basic restaurants. The pricing and portions here are not on par with other restaurants in the area.

Found our newest sushi spot Literally the best we've had in forever. The sushi chef is so creative with his dishes. If you're in NMB go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Fresh goodness! We are happy we found this gem in North Myrtle Beach!!! Service is great and sushi is sooo fresh.

O M G!!!! I'm from out of town, and wanted boba and this place did NIT disappoint!! The staff was very patient and kind to us even if we were indecisive!! We ordered the Peach Tea with passion fruit popping pearls and Tai Milk Tea with extra boba, and both were delicious!! When we come back to visit, we will definite be coming back!! The place it self was absolutely adorable and feminine!! Barbie would definitely approve!!

So nice to see a new bubble tea place in north myrtle that I had to come in to try it! Delicious drinks- tea, coffee, matcha options. I tried the brown sugar black milk tea and the mango green milk tea and the brown sugar was the better option! Boba was so chewy and milk was frothy. There is no option to adjust ice or sugar level and drinks do some VERY sweet. I did not try any of their food options. Inside decor is super cute and it's in a convenient location inside the shopping plaza.

Absolutely love this place, the vibes are so cute! Bubble tea was excellent and the garlic parm fries were amazing.

I never leave reviews, but I have to at this point. Drinks can be genuinely good sometimes, but it all depends on who is working that day unfortunately. I get the same thing every single time I have been, and it always tastes completely different. Just not consistent at all. Even when the owner was in, she explained that she was not happy with employees not following the recipes. The staff are consistently very dismissive and DEATHLY slow. They look absolutely miserable. You will be waiting a long time for even a single drink no matter how slow it is in the shop. Ambiance is awkward at best and other customers I've seen are usually looking confused and uncomfortable as they wait to be initially greeted as the workers take their time doing what seems to be literally everything else. I love every other Cha House location I have been to, but I am never happy when I leave here. I really wanted to like this place, lots of potential. Definitely going to have to find a new boba shop though.

The white tuna sushi was also really good. I also tried the crab rangoon and egg rolls, but those weren't anything too special. The rangoon had a very smooth, cream cheese-heavy filling. Not bad, just not particularly memorable. My mom got the sweet potato roll, which I surprisingly really enjoyed. I also ordered a sparkling sake. Service-wise, the bartender was a bit scattered and slow. She threw out the screw top from my sake bottle, but when she realized I might want to take the rest to go, she actually opened a new bottle just to give me the cap, which I appreciated. She also asked if I wanted a wine glass, which felt a little odd considering they have sake glasses. Honestly though, it seemed like they could probably benefit from having another worker helping out.

It was well worth the drive all the way down to Surfside. The lumpia is rolled to order and he has some creative ideas for nontraditional lumpia filling. The rice was cooked perfectly and the siding was masarap! It was so good I ended up getting a second order to go so I could have it again for dinner. The owner was great fun to chat with, and the whole vibe is very Filipino family. I will definitely make at least one visit down here every time we come down to visit.

Started by two friends who wanted to open a restaurant serving food inspired by the Philippines,…read morethe Manila Grille is located in Deerfield Plaza, between downtown Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. They are only open from 2 - 8 pm on Wed - Sat, so my wife and I made it a point to go there around 3 on a Thursday. We were the only customers during that time, and got to speak at length with Mike, the co-owner. We really enjoyed it, though their pricing could be altered to be more consistent. The plaza and surrounding area isn't much to look at, and the Grille is not visible from the road. One really has to make an effort to get here. We really liked how the inside was decorated, with a mishmash of Filipino culture on one side (including a pretty good mural of Manny Pacquaio) and a large nature scene (painted by Mike) that gets added to with cinema characters when he gets inspired (examples being Chunk from the Goonies, Sebastian from the Little Mermaid, and my favorite: Frank Dux from Bloodsport). There is even an official arm wrestling setup at one of the dining tables, inspired by the movie 'Over the Top'. Drinks are strictly cans (soda for $2) and bottles. The menu is very focused, nothing too complicated, and very tasty. They were out of the wings and burger that afternoon, but we were here for the Filipino entrees so there were no issues. Lumpia Meal ($13.99) - comes with your choice of three lumpia and rice. What's a little disheartening is that the price of the meal is actually higher than if you ordered the items individually ($11.96 : lumpia and one scoop of rice are all $2.99 each) Regardless of the reason, that's not a consumer friendly thing at all. I really liked the variety of the lumpia, which had been fried very well (crunchiness is always good). The gyro was different, with the side of tzatziki sauce adding a lot of flavor. My favorite was the TNA (Taters and Adobo), the mix worked really well. What I thought would work well (the bulgogi mac n cheese) was OK, probably because there wasn't much filling or flavor. Chicken Adobo Meal ($13.99) - no pork adobo today, so got the chicken. It was OK, decent flavor, but small amounts of chicken breast. We added a pork skewer for $2.99. It had been glazed with banana ketchup and grilled over an open flame. Street BBQ Skewers ($13.99) - liked the pork skewers, so got three more in a meal. It has the same addition problem (individually priced, it adds up to $11.96, less than the meal). The meat pieces on these seemed even smaller, and some of the cuts were grisly. Mike did suggest I get the small fruit salad for dessert ($1.49) and it was good. Reminded me of halo halo, except smaller and without the beans. Lumpia is definitely the thing to get here.

My wife ordered the Vietnamese Lemongrass Chili Chicken, but unfortunately it was extremely salty, even by my standards, and I tend to enjoy saltier foods. We also ordered two cocktails that came out much sweeter than expected. It left us wondering whether some additional tasting and quality control in both the kitchen and bar could help improve consistency. That said, our server, John, was excellent throughout the evening. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about our experience. When we mentioned the issue with my wife's meal, managers Jack and David both checked on us personally and worked hard to make things right. Their involvement and concern did not go unnoticed and reflected a commitment to customer service. We've visited Cafe Chinois over the years and have noticed changes since the passing of the previous owner and the family's transition into running the restaurant. The menu has evolved, and the overall atmosphere feels a little different than it once did. During our visit, there was some trash on the floor that remained for a while, suggesting that attention to detail may not be quite where it used to be. Even so, the excellent service from John, Jack, and David, along with the quality of my entrée, showed that the restaurant still has a strong foundation. With a little more consistency in the kitchen and bar, Cafe Chinois can continue to be one of Wilmington's favorite dining spots.
