Going…read moreto an in patient rehab that promises hours and hours of rehabilitation per day is spooky on paper, but RHOP is incredible and, as a matter of fact, they seem to have their heads screwed on better than some of the people at Queens. . .but that's for another review. . . RHOP was actually a great time, everyone you encounter is nice, the exercises are hard, but they have to be and I had a really good group of people with me too, like Ms. Helen who is 101 years old and her roommate Ms. Susie who used to DOOR DASH COFFEE to her room every morning, hahahaha. RHOP taught me everything I needed to know to survive at home during my long recovery period between a wheelchair and a walker and I use what they taught me daily. I am 100% sure I would not be as mobile as I am now this soon after surgery if I hadn't gone to them, in fact, some of what I was shown or learned there are integral to moving around. The only mark I have against them, the only warning. If you get to the point where you can venture out of your room and roll around the facility do not leave anything on your bed. On my first day out of my room I got a collared shirt from the gift shop which was then taken by the linen service provider by accident a few days later and I never saw it again. I was told this has also happened with cellphones. They will take the chance to do up your bed when you are not in it so make sure all of your stuff is put away, because whoever does the laundry just bags and tags everything wholesale. I hope I never have to go back here, but if I do it's going to be a good time.

Been in and out of here two times and am currently here 9_/12/26. Both times so far they have screwed up my pain medication where I have suffered at a pain level of 9 almost 10 for over periods of 3 hrs or more. That's totally unacceptable and all nursing could say is "oh we're sorry " which to me is total bullshit. Medications are always a #1 priority, especially pain medication. The total inconsistencies of the quality of care is what makes me not recommend this place for quality skilled nursing facility. They need to improve on all levels of their business, for me to recommend them at all.

My father was recently hospitalized and then needed to go to short term rehab to get stronger prior…read moreto coming home. He ended up at short-term rehab at Hale Ola Kino. The location was convenient. He was here approximately two weeks. The main reason to going to short-term rehab is if they need more physical therapy and occupational therapy to get stronger to be independent. Sometimes they no longer need to be in the hospital, but may be a fall risk so going to short-term rehab is a good idea. Overall, I think he had a good experience. He did receive PT and OT on most days. I believe it's six days a week. First they started him with a walker, then a cane, and then did trial him on no assist device. I also asked them to make sure he could navigate stairs. He told me the food was pretty good. Staff was attentive. Physical therapist and occupational therapist were personable and provided good therapy. Would definitely recommend this place for short-term rehab.

Told me I can't be there and called the police to issue a trespass, on my work break as I came to see Mom. The administrator Roselle Salon has told me she'll call me back at least a half a dozen times, not one call. I've had to call from 5 different phone numbers just to get them to answer the phone, the 808-983-4444 number. Their main phone number, that's listed on every social media page. When I call from an unrecognized number and they answer, they tell me that the administrator is in.a meeting every single time I've gotten through and today I could hear people laughing in the background while they told me that the administrator was in a meeting, again. Laughing at me, as I am kept from visiting my dying Mother. No reason, no explanation, NOTHING! Yelp, I hope you will let me be heard on this platform so that the community knows how they've treated my family and their patient. I hope those responsible end up in prison for this horrible nightmare they have brought our family. The 3rd Floor staff was really nice and super kind to my mother. She enjoyed being around them. My biggest gripe is their office staff. Really super bad communication. I would call and leave messages on their voice mail and they would never return my calls. One day I was so frustrated that when I did finally get to speak to someone in a particular department I had asked why do they not return phone calls when messages are left. I was basically blown off and told I don't know. I was pretty stunned about their shear lack of accountability. They would often tell me that they called but I never answered. I would check my phone and I had zero missed calls from them because they never called. Personally, I can't stand them. It was frustrating. My mother was finally discharged yesterday morning. How I found out was through an email Thursday afternoon at 4:45pm that said "We were not able to get in touch with you but wanted to let you know that your mother will be discharged tomorrow." I was so happy to get her out of there so I would not have to deal with that horrible office staff and grouchy people that open the door. I would give them a big fat 0 stars because of their horrible office staff. My mom said 4 but their food is really a 1. So we went with 3 stars.

Went there over a dozen times for a little over a month to get rid of this chronic pain in my left…read moreshoulder which I aggravated during weight training in the gym. I had a sharp pinching pain in my shoulder when reaching behind my back and overhead. I also had a nagging pain when sleeping or when my arm was resting. Rx pain drugs from my Internist didn't help so he suggested Physical Therapy. Now after my final session, my pain is almost completely gone. Cody Gillis recommended stretching by hanging from a overhead bar to get rid last of the minor pinching. They recommended stretches and light weight training and Cody massaged and stretched my shoulder to get the arm bone correctly located in the shoulder socket. This really helped in relieving the pain. They emphasized pulling my shoulders back and contracting the shoulder blades during exercising to avoid re-injuring my shoulder. Also, mahalo to my physical trainer Blaise who made sure I kept the proper form during exercising and stretching. The entire staff including the office staff were always helpful, polite and friendly. Even the interaction between the personable staff and other patients made the atmosphere more like a social club. Mahalo to the entire staff and other patients for making this a memorable experience.

So there's that. And the fact they allowed us to drop off some signs and flowers and balloons and snacks for her and staff there. Haven't really made it out there in a while. Money has been a bit of an issue for now and so we're trying to get things back in order & home. Once all that's taken cared off, we should making frequent visits. But planning a surprise visit soon. Other than that, staff was very kind, helpful & cooperative when I met them they the glass door. They had nothing but kind words to say about mommy. Oh and they're super cute too because they have BINGO NIGHTS, MOVIE NIGHTS, KARAOKE NIGHTS & SO MICH ACTIVITIES FOR THE PATIENTS... they have a lot of activities to keep them busy. So they're not bored at all. That's the one thing I know for sure! Because they gave away the bookmarks that we dropped off as prizes and the patients were super happy because there was enough for EVERYONE. Everyone WON! Hehehe....

Awesome part they have Costco down the street so you are in a real treat eat lunch before you sit here for a few hours. :) my sister and I walked in there there had to be 30 people a head of us we were there for a good 2 hours. I asked the security guard if I can come back before 3 pm.. But she said something about the time when the elevator locks up and won't let us come back. We ended up starving ourselves but were able to get quest in the end.

I've been sitting on this review and trying to figure out how to describe my experience with Austin. In a nutshell, indescribable would be easy to say, but also the immediate feeling right after the session. I can breathe a bit better if not easier, weight on my shoulders feels lighter. And overall feels like I am freed by the 'mental shackles' that has had its hold on me for a long time. Like a veil has been lifted and I am now more at peace with myself, zen like state which is something I thought I had but this is completely different. I am extremely thankful for the opportunity and I am forever truly grateful for meeting and crossing paths with Austin!
