Moved to Venice from Sarasota recently and absolutely love this nail salon. I've been here a few times now and always feel so welcome and they do a great job with my nails. Had a basic pedicure done. It was fine. Brought my own polish which I am glad I did. Not a lot of colors to choose from. A lot of the polish seemed to be drying up that they offered. I did ask that they use a new set of filers to use because they were going to use ones that were used on other people. Did have to ask to have my feet scraped which was needed. They obliged with no problem. It sounds like I'm complaining but honestly I just asked and they were accommodating. People were very nice and the shop was clean. I love this nail salon! It's a cute place, & pedicure chairs give great massages. . This is a family owned business and they really focus on doing a quality job. I have been going to LA nails in Venice for over a year now. I was always someone that would go to a new place every single time - until I came here! Amy is super talented and does phenomenal job. Every manicure and pedicure I get is extremely consistent at lasts very long - generally like 3 weeks, much longer than any manicure I've gotten before. With covid, I am very leery of going most places, but they have done an excellent job before and after all of this with keeping the area very sanitary. Everything is always very clean, chairs and equipment sanitized after each person, and a great selection of colors and other services offered. The quality and affordability is also great, I have paid for manicures at the Ritz Carlton spa that didn't last this long, or look this good. What should've been a relaxing pedicure ended up raising my blood pressure. The guy who did my nails was awesome! An employee of the salon from Alabama. However as soon as I got started on my pedicure I was told my daughter would be next when someone came available. Well that wasn't the case. Instead those that came available took other customers and or decided to sweep the floor making us wait. I get appointments come in. But when you have staff cleaning and sweeping instead of helping my 4 year old, a paying customer, I become annoyed. They also offer wine here. I'm not driving because Tyler dropped us off. So when I ask to have a glass I am told that they are for customers getting manicures and pedicures. Ummm?!? Am I not spending enough money if not more than customers who get both a mani and pedi?! The response... Well maybe next time! I will never go back and plan to leave every review on every site I can. What is customer service coming too? There are so many potential "-isms" at play I don't even know which one to claim! Racism, ageism, classism?!? I probably make more money than the regulars that come in so who knows!!! I just know I'm tired of being pre judged and getting terrible customer service. Got a deluxe pedi wasn't even in the chair for 20 mins and then should have place there foot slippers on and used my own shoes that touch my toes and I told them but they said oh no it's good NOT!! I went there yesterday and had acrylics put on, then had my nails painted. As I write this I am getting ready to put On new polish because he(didn't tell me his name, younger Asian man) did a terrible job painting them. Missed the corners of my nails, they were all streaked up and chips of polish were already coming off...after one day. And no, I don't do a ton of physical stuff with my hands. After he cut the acrylics down and filled them, he didn't even get the chunks of plastic out from under the nails! I had to fix that when I got home. The only reason I am giving two stars is because an older Asian gentleman did my daughter's nails and they came out perfect! I had the tip of my thumb cut to actually draw blood. Not the sides or cutical, the actual tip with the nail cutter. I did not see the technicians license handing on the wall where I was sitting. The tech next to her kept talking to her and although I do not understand the language it appeared he was instructing her. It was his license on the wall. I recently got my nails (acrylics) done at a spa in Sarasota and was completely dissatisfied with what was done. The whole thing was rushed and the man started my nails while I was still in the pedicure chair because he wanted to get done so fast. After dealing with chicklet nails for a few days I finally couldn't take it and found this shop and was pleasantly surprised with how quickly my whole set was fixed and how inexpensive the process was. I will never be coming back. I paid $40 for a fill. Not only that but the person doing my nails got up and did other things about 10 times. He worked on other peoples nails in the middle of mine, end it took over an hour and a half for a simple fill. Also I thought it was going to be $30 but to draw on two more lines with a different color added $10 to it. I did not know that it was gonna be that much so I asked at the end why are use that much and he got so defensive and all up in my face and after that mocked me with the way I was sitting, which I was sitting crisscross, and thought that was OK to do in front of a customer. Against my better judgement I thought I would give them a chance since Amy had previously given me a fill that left me with different shapes and lengths on my nails and had bulges in the powder dip fill. I had THE WORST experience here this evening!!! Jessica used a Dremel on my natural nail bed (Eek!!!) and then proceeded to destroy my beautifully shaped kitty cat claws. When I mentioned how crooked they were, she only responded with attitude, and refused to fix them. I was getting visibly upset, and she then told me she thought the only reason I was complaining was because I didn't have the money to pay! Left immediately, and will never be returning. If you like your hands I wouldn't go there either... If you don't know what I mean look up the risks of infection while at the salon!!!! read more

They charged me $90.00!!!! $90.00. For a pedi and crappy foot massage. I came her for a spa pedicure. I also asked them if they did reflexology since according to the sign in the window they do. They kind of laughed about it when I asked so I wasn't sure if that was a yes or no. They used a bunch of oils and attempted their version of a massage/reflexology. Both were not good. I almost asked what exactly they were doing bc clearly the guy didn't have a clue. Hence the laughter from my original question. Towards the end after they polished my toes he went back in to clean up my cuticles and ended up taking a chunk of skin out of the side of my nail bed. It wouldn't stop bleeding and then he put some liquid on it which caused it to burn even more!! Whatever it was he used he put it in direct contact with the blood on my toe. Scary. It was terrible. I would never come back here and please consider yourself warned. They up charge and try to sell you on everything. I could've gone to a decent spa for 90 bucks. Not some small dinky place in south Venice. Ugh! Ps it took my toe almost a month to heal and was extremely painful after for a while. read more

This used to be a really great salon. The staff was always super friendly, accommodating, and the quality was great. Unfortunately, they recently switched over management and the customer service and quality have gone with it. The new staff is very pushy about up-selling, constantly asking, 'you're sure you don't want a more expensive service?', 'are you sure you don't want your eyebrows waxed along with your pedicure?', etc. multiple times in one sitting, making the environment stressful instead of relaxing like it once was. I recently got my first waxing service here and the end result was awful. Only 10% of the hair got waxed, the rest was ripped off just enough to leave a prickly feeling/appearance, and what was smooth was raw from having been repeatedly waxed over in the single session. On my most recent visit, I was cut three times: twice by the man trimming my toenails and once when he used the bit to file down the old gel polish on my fingernails. I went in requesting a solid pink shade on square nails with rounded edges and, after much up-selling, *ahem* "talking into", came out with a very sloppy French tip on oval shaped nails... The only reason I continued to visit this salon was because Andy, one of the few original staff left, was amazing at what he did. Sadly, he seems to be on an extended vacation, or is possibly no longer at this location, either way, I'll have to go somewhere else from now on. read more

This is the mist horrible place to go! I paid 60. 00 for lash extensions which I have gotten at many establishments before. They all fell off within a few days. When i called to tell them, I was treated extremely rudely and told by the owner that the tech who did my nails said I was on my phone the entire time. That was a complete lie! This place is unprofessional and called me a liar not to mention they know NOTHING about lashes. You would be better off buying press ons at a drug store than doing business with them!!!!!
