I took my sister from out of town here as a special treat for a pedicure. The technicians did a good job, and we paid over $100 for the services and tipped both techs $10 each. During the appointment my sister accidentally dropped a bottle of polish that the technician handed her so she could photograph the color. It broke on the floor. She immediately apologized multiple times and was clearly very upset about it. I tried to settle her down by telling her to quit apologizing that it was an accident. She was mortified. As we were leaving, we were told by the front desk that we were not allowed to come back because of the broken bottle incident, even though it was clearly an accident. They waited to tell us we couldn't come back until after we tipped generously $10 to each technician and paid for the service over $100. It was extremely embarrassing and shocking to be treated this way over an honest mistake. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated, we will not be returning anyway. I would suggest no one going there. It's not worth being treated rudely. My sister also left a short review and their answer to her was "would we like to see a video that shows what really happened?"This is so bizarre.. so bizarre. Today I visited L'amour Nail Salon without an appointment and asked if they had availability for a pedicure and a polish change on my nails. The receptionist was polite and accommodating, letting me know they could take me right away. Unfortunately, the service I received was the worst I've ever experienced at a nail salon and I've been a customer here for years. The nail technician acted as if he did not want to service me. When clipping my toenails, they were left crooked, and when I asked for correction, it felt like a burden. He applied only one coat of polish until I specifically requested a second. My heels were barely filed, leaving my pedicure unfinished and disappointing. I regret allowing him to continue with the polish change on my hands. During that service, three of my nails were smudged, and instead of addressing it professionally, he became visibly upset and spoke to me in a condescending manner. Worse, he grabbed my fingers roughly. At that point, I had to speak up and firmly told him not to grab me again. A man, whom I believe was the owner, came over to ask if everything was okay. I was upset but did not want to create a scene, so I did not respond in that moment. The technician later offered an apology. As I was leaving, I explained to a male worker that was standing in the front of the salon the experience that I received was unacceptable. He apologized and explained that the technician was new, and assured me he would note my concerns. While I appreciate the apology, the overall experience was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and upsetting. I still cannot believe I paid for such poor service. August 18, 2024: Tina provided my service, and I was pleased with the results. I have also had services from Rikita in the past, and she consistently delivers beautiful work. However, I am giving less than five stars due to a recurring issue at checkout. When I went to pay, the total was quoted as $44 since I was paying in cash. After handing over the cash, I requested a receipt, which reflected a total of $43.60. I inquired about the discrepancy, and the cashier mentioned that they round up. When I asked for my change, she reluctantly provided it but with noticeable attitude. This is not the first time I have encountered this issue, as the same person has previously given varying explanations for the price difference between what is stated and what is on the receipt. The inconsistency seems questionable, especially since they clearly have the correct change on hand. I would recommend always requesting a receipt to ensure the price you are told matches what you are charged. While I enjoy the services at this salon, I may consider finding another with more transparent pricing practices. read more

They redid only top layer of my nails and look horrible. I asked for my money back and he said no. That they would redo my nails until I was happy. I told him I am not happy and wanted my money back. Save yourself the money and get them done somewhere else. I was charged $60 for a shorter full set of acrylic with NO paint. My nails are differing in lengths, they weren't clipped before gluing on tips, and my index finger nails are the longest instead of my middle finger. I had to have my nails touched up before leaving by another worker because the acrylic was stuck to the underside of my nails. I brought 2 other new customers along and one of them got longer coffin acrylics- charged at $45-$50, the discrepancy in pricing was brought up and we were sat in the middle of 3 workers conversing in vietnamese over MY MONEY and how much I should be charged. They DONT clean your nails before applications, customer service is not the best, and I just feel ripped off. But, at least I got a $5 refund I guess? They're fast, but not quality and ESPECIALLY not done well enough to charge these kinds of prices. read more

Unfortunately, I found that your customer service was terrible. Even though I had an appointment, I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. I was met with an attitude by one of the Asian young men (has tattoos on his arms and spoke very good English) as I explained that my nails were not shaped properly/uneven. I also had pointed out some cuts I had on my fingers AHEAD of starting the appointment with him... he obviously did NOT care. I booked a fill for myself and the service was fast but not good quality, they rushed and didn't paint half of my nail and there is huge mounds where he had layed the acrylic. Only leaving two stars because the people in the salon were nice and helped me match acrylic color from another nail tech. However, I notified the tech that two of my acrylic nails were lifting pretty bad (like halfway up, which is normal) I was expecting him to clip off the lifted part. Instead he began to just fill acrylic on top of the lifted part. At that moment I reminded him and asked if that would cause any problems. He said "No You'll be fine." Not what I'm used to but I trusted them. I had my acrylics removed after two weeks and there is now green fungus because of the water and debris that were trapped under the lifted acrylic and closed in with the new acrylic Thankfully my new tech could cover it up pretty good. But I am disappointed that he wouldn't listen to my concern and now I'm stuck with a green nail until it grows out. My best friend and I have been going to L'Amour Nail Care for 2 or more years now. Trust me when I say I'm one of the pickiest (i.e., detail-oriented ‍) humans on earth, but this is MY/OUR place. Even though I moved further away, I still make the drive and I always request Kenny because I know I'll be satisfied with my dip manicure every. Single. Time. (but don't go stealing Kenny from me!). My friend also sticks to Vi when she can. As with most nail salons, service and satisfaction can vary with variable technicians, so we stick to our two faves as much as possible. For transparency, I have shied away from pedicures here as they don't seem to last for me, even when I get gel and even when I baby my feet for a day or so afterward. This place is extremely discriminatory and I would not recommend this place. I had an appointment here with my cousin, who is a female and my brother at 4pm to get our nails done. I arrived first and checked in, everything seemed ok. My brother arrived right after me and proceeded to tell the receptionist that he had a reservation and that he wanted a full set. The receptionist told us to pick out our nail colors and they would be right with us. As we were picking out our colors, the same receptionist approached us and stated that my brother couldn't get his nails done until after 5pm because all of their female nail techs would not arrive until after 5p. My brother said that's ok, he's fine with having a man do his nails (at all the other nail shops male nail techs always do his nails). The receptionists proceeded to tell us that the male techs REFUSES to touch another man's hands. I'm not sure if this is because my brother is gay, but this is unacceptable. Running a business and refusing to provide services to a certain group of people because of their own biases. As soon as we were informed of this businesses prejudice we chose to leave. I refuse to give my money to any business that would support prejudice nail techs. Not in 2023. That's like me going into a salon and them telling me they don't like touching black hands. I was also disrespected by the young Asian male with the tattoos on his arms, I just read a bad review by a white customer about this same man. he started my nails, then he had someone else finish me, a female Asian with a bad attitude who smacked her lips, and and blew out of her nose as if I was aggravating her, and this was on Mother's Day. She put 2 coats of polish on one foot, one on the other, the young male tried to take up for her stating she put 2 coats on both feet, and he didn't even see her polish me. I asked for the second coat, the young man got an attitude, and basically told me he didn't see a difference but if I want a second coat I can with an attitude. Then she filed my nails, and wasn't going to let me rinse my hands, so I had to tell her let me rinse my hands, she to me ok, but refused to tell me where the bathroom was, then my daughter who was with me said the man with the tattoos threw his hand up, which is negative body gesture, when I came back to the table she asked me did I use soap I told her no, I get gel nails all the time, she rubbed my pinky finger sniffed her finger, and then frowned her face up as if my finger stunk, when I just rinse under her water, she messed up my thumbs nail, and I asked her to just do it over, she chose to polish over it. The young man did't give my daughter the french tip she wanted, and cut her finger, he also cut my toe. My daughter stated 3 black women had complaints of their bad customer service. I shouldn't have spent my Mother's day like this. L'Amour gives bad service to black women. They then charged me $130.00. Black women please boycott this nail salon. We have to stop giving them our hard earned money just to be treated like dirt on the ground.
