I've gone to L'Amour for the last few years and it's been hit or miss as can happen sometimes. Here recently I have gotten in and out quickly. But I also booked my appointments in advance! Every time I've gotten my nails done I have been satisfied. I feel pampered afterwards and plan to keep going back. The music they play is good too. It can be super crowded in the salon as well. Also I feel like they have good prices. For a manicure and pedicure with gel polish and tip, it's $100. This salon should be ashamed of the service they're providing. I only got a pedicure -- no nails -- and it was a complete disaster. The polish was streaky, uneven, and looked like it was applied in the dark. Within 24 hours, two toes chipped and one peeled off completely in a full layer. I paid $55 and had to ask three times just to get a $20 gift card as a half-hearted apology. The vibe was off from the moment I walked in -- cold, rushed, and uncomfortable. There were two of us. We got there around 11:00 am. Waited 45 minutes for pedicures. Were seated for fill in and polish. Waited an hour. Asked why the wait, and were told they were short handed and had no one available who could do fill in. When we asked again 30 minutes later, were told the same. There were at least 20 technicians There, this made no sense to us. We told them as we walked in which services we wanted. There were no indications of a long wait. When we finally got seated for fill in and polish, ( after the man "running the show" was rude and not at all apologetic), there were no apologies, no excuses no explanations, until we asked. I wish they'd have offered an appointment later, when they were available. I don't mind waiting my turn, but if they were short handed, that should have been explained before we waited over 3 hours. I've been to several other salons, this one is supposed to be more upscale and higher quality of service, but I paid double what I pay elsewhere, to be treated rudely, and wait that long. My fill in and polish was rushed, as you can see in the pictures. I will never return there again. read more

The atmosphere inside was more my style compared to other places I've visited in E town, it was open and spacious and organized with how they handled customers. Everything is bad. The minute you walk in, some little stern dude says "What you want?" No snile, no greeting, just "what you want!?" He takes me to a chair and the tech assigned to me said three words the entire time. "Thank you." and "Goodbye." They apparently only do gel pedicures. Do not go here I went in a couple days ago to get my nails done and today I realize I have uncured gel polish on my acrylics and it is now irritating my nails and skin, I also had an appointment with a specific person and the owner had me move to 3 different people. I also had realized the color I picked out was not how it looked on the nail polish thing you can look through and when I brought it up the woman I was put with told me it would take to long to remove and I would just have to come back and remove the color a different day, she then had the owner come over and I don't really do great with confrontation so I just said it was fine and I'd come back a different day, I don't think I've ever experienced this kind of behavior before in my life please do not go here find a privately owned shop or a independent nail artist read more

I was there about a week ago, and the place is covered in nail dust. While sitting there I saw a nail tech drop a few tools on the floor. He picked them up and dipped them in the tub of water the clients feet were in then continued to use them on her feet. The customer service from the owner and one staff member was rude and nasty. I believe it's based off race because I experienced it twice. The service by the nail techs are sub par by the way they shape your nails and the polish used; your nails will chip and break. Their pedicure routine is horrible with using the stainless steel foot file, your feet turn out horrible. Do not waste your money and time. I found an excellent shop down the street! Absolutely never again. This place is close to where I live so I gave it a second shot. I walked in with an old, but still beautiful dip nail set on my natural nail. I walked out with mini potatoes on my fingers. The lady took so damn long that I just knew she was going to shape my nails, nope. The application was lazy and uneven so there were so many weak points in my nails. I had to wait to let that foolishness grow out because I try to not put too much stress on my natural nail. I have been there twice. The first time a young girl did my nails and added $3 to my total (after the $3 card fee and tip) and the nails pretty much all lifted within a couple weeks. I went back to have them filled and was told $40 (already high for a fill) and this time it was a guy (Kent- couldn't recall girl's name). He was miserable and it was obvious that he'd rather be at the dentist's office than there doing my nails! He started complaining that they were all lifting and they should be removed and a new set put on. I told him they were new and too expensive for a new set, I got them done there so they shouldn't be lifting and I just wanted a fill. He was rough and kept trying to twist my thumb even after I told him there's a metal plate in it and it won't twist. I had to turn my entire arm before he twisted to prevent pain. He was in so much emotional angst that I had to keep my eyes on the silent TV to avoid the awkwardness, glancing occasionally at his work. He finished in record time and although I used to do my own acrylics and knew of every mistake he was making, I kept quiet. I didn't want him purposely sabotaging them in anger. Since he finished so quickly I hoped they would hold up since they looked so good. He charged me $50 instead of the stated $40 and stared at me expectantly waiting for me to hit the tip button (otherwise it wouldn't proceed to the next screen). I felt pressured to tip him but thought he did do a decent job overall so I did. It's been less than two weeks and I've already lost one. I will not go back a third time to get stolen from and mistreated. It's not worth the stress. read more

So my toes always look nice after so I can't complain there but my one main issue is that the music is so incredibly loud I just can't go back anymore. I've been 4 times and everytime I leave feeling so overwhelmed. Like I like music don't get me wrong but they have a speaker on full blast BUMPING behind your head where the pedicure chairs are. I go to relax a bit when getting my toes done but it's always so chaotic in there I just can't and honestly the loud music makes it even more difficult to be able to talk to the person doing your nails bc sometimes there is a bit of a barrier and the music making it even more difficult to hear really makes it's hard. read more

Very similar and as close as I'll probably get while now living in Kentucky. Nail tech 10 did a great job even though he was not as inviting as one would like. I walked in for a full set with gel for the first time here and in this state. I only waited 5 minutes which is amazing and I expected to wait so much longer. I showed the employee the design and what shape and it is uneven and my shape is wrong. I got almond and they are pointy instead of rounded and uneven. The design is uneven too. From the outside of the building you wouldn't think the business is as elegant as it is on the inside, but it is beautiful. There were a lot of people being serviced, but as soon as I walked in I was greeted, had my temperature checked, and my service began as soon as I washed my hands and completed the COVID screening form. I got a gel mani and pedi. The business uses pedicure liners and a new set of tools out of a sealed package for each guest from what I could tell. I needed up paying $92 for the manicure and pedicure. I thought that was more pricey than what I pay other places. I assumed the cost of the gel would be included in the regular price since the sign inside says gel or shellac only due to covid. Regardless, I was satisfied with the service. I was in and out, the nail techs were welcoming, and the establishment is very clean. The only flaw I think it the price point if there isn't an option to have regular polish. read more

I was able to get right in for an emergency pedi in the afternoon on a Monday. After a few martinis across the street this was the perfect "treat yoself" outing. Being a male, I was apprehensive at first, but the staff made me feel right at home as they went to work on my feet. The chairs vibrated, which added a luxurious touch to the experience. They were going to put gel on her fingers!!!!!! Asked if they would make an exception for a 4 YO and was told no. Didn't make sense since they just did her toes with regular nail polish and painted a design. I then asked if they would do a clear coat and paint snowflakes and initially was told yes, but then told no. Probably because the guy doing hers was not super happy about having to do it. It would have been different if someone had informed me of their policy when I told them what I wanted and was told they could do it. I would have left. We both got clear coats and left. read more

There are a lot of people working to deal with the busy-ness. I only waited around 30 minutes. I got the volcano spa pedicure and it lasted about 45-50 mins and felt wonderful. They have an extensive selection of colors and brands of nail polish. My nail technician was very friendly and talkative which is always nice because I am always uncomfortable when I come in alone.
