I hate giving negative reviews, but I bought a 20+ year old truck from here with 246,000 miles on…read moreit, so if course I knew it would need work. This review is more so to give a heads up and if you're like me and don't know much about vehicles, you may want to bring your own mechanic. I have a pea brain when it comes to cars, so really all I did was do some research on first gen silverados, checked for frame rust, took it on a test drive, bought it as is. That whole process was a breeze, and everyone was nice, didn't feel pushy, and could walk out at anytime, I'm sure buying a newer vehicle here with a warranty is great. The reason for the negative review is mainly because I was told the check engine light was on for an 02 sensor, but when I got home and scanned, there were three other codes, and to add to that, the transmission slipped of course, right before I got home and I had to pull over, turn the car off and back on to make it back home. When I got home I started taking a close look around the truck (I know I should've done that before purchasing it) found a rear main seal leak, and the trans dip stick fluid was brown and smelt like burnt metal. Another thing I can't believe I missed was that one of the tires was a different brand from the other three with more tread on it, so when I got to higher speeds on the way back home it was pretty shaky. Even though I bought as is, I called to see if there was anything they could do, and they seemed like they wanted to help, but so far just told me they test drove it, and called the previous owner too, and said no one had issues with the transmission. They haven't gotten back to me about the codes yet. Personally I would've just appreciated more transparency, I don't know if they have their own mechanic look over the vehicles they sell, but a breakdown of everything currently wrong with it would've been appreciated, because after taxes and fees a little over 7k for a truck that is just sitting in my drive way until I can save up for a new transmission, isn't fun. Don't get me wrong if I knew what was wrong with it, I still would've bought it, if I could've gotten it at a more reasonable price. This one is more nit picky but the truck was basically on empty when I bought it, also I didn't think to check that before driving home. Again I don't like giving negative reviews, but if you're anything like me and don't really know much about cars, I would just bring your own mechanic, or do some thorough research before purchasing any used vehicles without a warrant.
Edit: I just found the listing for the prius I traded in they gave me 500 trade in due to a rebuilt title, I wasn't expecting much so whatever. But I just saw the listing for the prius and its over 8k with fees and tax... it is listed at a different dealership so I dont know exactly how that works if they split the profits or if they just sold it to them, but I take back what I said, I would never do business with this dealership again
