This family owned camera store offers amazing personal service. Recently went in to try and recover lost images on a damaged SD card. Alyssa tried so hard to recover the images for me, and in the end would not accept any money as she could not recover them. The store also has a beautiful selection of photo frames! I never realize that, and I will go back when I need a frame rather than going to Home Goods! I local store has been around for years and Huntington Village, I would highly recommend it!!! read more

I walked in to L & L Camera to see if I could get caps for the eyepieces on my binoculars. Lenny was more than happy to help me. He cleaned the eyepieces and the lenses, and even gave me a cleaning kit for nothing! He wouldn't take a penny from me. Who does that?! We all need to support the "little guy". Don't forget about all these "mom and pop" shops. The personal attention received is beyond compare, you are helping a family stay in business, and contributing to the quality of your neighborhood. My good camera needed some fixing. I walked with my doggy over here and found quite a nice surprise. First, my doggy was welcome inside the store where she received two doggy biscuits. She was a happy one. Len Tatora Jr., the owner of the camera shop, is the nicest guy in town. He is very welcoming, friendly and does ensure that all your expectations are met... and more! There are plenty of photo frames and albums to choose from. You will also find plenty of camera lenses and other equipments such as cases and accessories needed by all camera enthusiasts. As for the actual camera inventory, I did not see much of that. There were some name brands I've never heard of. But it does seems that L&L's specialty is repairs, developing and photo professional needs, more than camera sales. I do highly recommend L&L for any photo needs, repairs and developing. By the way, he did take of my camera repairs within minutes of my arrival and we spend more time talking about dogs, cats and Len Totora Sr. than the time it took to get my camera cleaned up and fixed. The price for a new lens, battery and labor came to $120; which was less than what I expected to pay. read more

Must give Len some props today! I was strolling through the places close to me and L & L Camera and Video popped out of the businesses. I had a digital camera which I accidentally stuck in bag with 'picnic items'. When I emptied the bag, the Ranch Dressing container opened and my digital camera was covered in the mess. I also had previously taken it to the beach and got sand in it. I didn't want to risk taking it to Best Buy, because I knew they would sell me a newer camera. I loved my camera. I brought it to Len, and he treated my concerns and issues with sensitivity and professionalism. A week later, I had my camera back in working condition. Let's remember the 'mom and pop' shops that have been there way before the big giants came to town! read more

I have been shopping at L & L Camera since I was a kid. I remember with fondness Lenny Senior getting my grandmother, Emily Wright, her bricks of 35mm film for her winter RV trip with Grandpa. Customer service is always top notch and the staff knowledgable. I always recommend the shop and when in town I stop in. Old school or new school they are the place for you. read more

Nice enough service, but the prices were very high for basic prints and the amount per photo was not given. It was about $60 for 9 prints, none bigger than 5x7 so I'm not sure how that's possible. The coloring on half my photos was also way off. I expected better quality at a camera shop vs the convenience stores. read more

We needed rolls of film developed, and decided to use a local shop instead of mail/iInternet order. When we came to pick up the 4"x6" prints they essentially extorted us at over twice the going rate for 35mm film processing. "Isn't it terrible how expensive it is? No one does it anymore," said the clerk. Which is a lie - and Google will confirm it if you doubt it. At almost $40 for a roll of 36 exposures though, I'm sure the other customers have gone elsewhere too - it's no wonder the store is filthy with empty shelves, devoid of stock. EXCELLENT service!! Highly recommend. I needed VHS tapes converted. They did it in an efficient and careful manner. All tapes were converted beautifully- quality was top notch. I recommend anyone save their memories this way!!! It was a perfect gift for my older mother. Service was speedy and employee was polite and respectful. They definitely care about their work. Also had large family photo printed to be framed. Photo was clear and printed with high quality. Photo paper was great- exactly what i wanted. Will be back soon! read more

I have a 40 year old + Canon AV-1. It was jammed and nothing I could do was working. I called around to other repair places, including Canon. No one would even look at it. Then I called L&L. They told me to bring it in and they'd see what they could do. Came in, and the lady, whose name I can't recall, said they would give it a shot. Said it was jammed, which was correct. Not even an hour passed, L&L called me and said it was fixed. Went there today, the next day. She showed me how well it was working and didn't want any money for their work. I have them a $20 for lunch even though they didn't ask for it. Skills like that are worth it. Very pleased with them. Highly recommended for your camera needs. read more

I went into this store for the first time with my broken Panasonic digital camera. Len was so helpful and extremely friendly. He could repair the camera but it would have cost more than the camera is worth. He called customer service for me and I was able to setup the shipping and everything right in the store. Panasonic sent me a brand new camera since it was still under warranty. I will be going to L&L from now on for all of my camera and photography needs. They also convert VHS to DVD which I am going to be doing soon. Thanks Len! read more

I stand there in the shop looking straight at one of these guys facing the front for 5 minutes. not once am I acknowledged. no hello or what can we do for you. nothing. were these people high or sober??? suffice to say, I walked out to take my business elsewhere. read more

I was recently in Huntington to give a speech and found out that the venue's projector needed an HDMI cable, and they didn't have one. Running out of time I raced around looking for any place that might have one. I went into L&L, but they said they didn't sell those cables and only had some for work in their shop. I explained my predicament and asked if I could rent one for two hours. No, just borrow it and bring it back! What great guys, helping me out when I had told them I wasn't even from the area. My husband bought a tape to DVD conversion special for L&L. He brought the tapes from our cam corder in and left them. I was nervous about the possibility that something would happen to them. Len called a few days later to say tHey were done and one of the tapes had been blank. He spent a great deal of time going through it to make sure it was blank and didn't have anything in the middle that he may have missed. We picked up the DVDs that were done and the tapes and brought in another, that was not blank. Len was wonderful to deal with. He really went the extra mile. We will use this shop for any and all camera needs from now on. So happy we found this store. read more

I visited this store on 10/8/12. I was hoping they could fix my digital camera I dropped. When I first entered the store there was no one behind the counter. After a few 'hellos' a man came out from the back. I am not sure what was wrong with him but he looked a mess. I will not comment on what I think he was doing in the back as I will not speculate. I will only stick to the facts. Needless to say, this man looked like he had not bathed in a long time - he was a complete mess and somewhat 'out of it.' I was hestitant but I asked him if he could fix my camera. He took it out of my hand and started to pull it apart. All of a sudden, there was another very strange man standing next to me. He did not come from the back room. I stepped away from him and he stepped a little closer. He was trying to talk to me. He was also having a conversation with the man behind the counter whom he appeared to be friendly with. Then the man next to me kept touching my arm. Then he pulled up his shirt to show me something. I have no idea what. I was trying to be polite but the whole situation was getting more and more uncomfortable. I stepped away again and finally, politely asked the man next to be to stop touching me. The man behind the counter did nothing. Then the man next to me was very rude and said some awful things to me of which I will not repeat. He continued to be very rude to me and the entire situation was very uncomfortable. Finally I grabbed my camera and the pieces that the man behind the counter had pulled off.As I left the store he continued to yell at me. I made it out of the store and burst into tears into the parking lot. When I got back to my car, my husband asked me what was wrong. He went into the store and yelled at them both. The man that worked at the store hid/pushed the rude man behind the counter - like he was protecting him. I should have called the police but I had my two children with me in the car and they were very upset by the whole situtation. My recomendation is to stay away from this store. Do not trust the people in there. Do not let your daughters, sisters and wives go anywhere near this store. Hopefully they will go out of business and will not longer let people be abused and feel threatened. I am ashamed that L&L Camera is even in business on our wonderful Huntington. read more

Went to the Camera store because of the reviews I saw and chose to travel there instead of more local and larger stores. I was greeted with a huge hello and smile. They took my Nikon D200 and in a little over two hours had the service done that I needed. The price was super reasonable, and met the owner Len who came out to explain what he did and how he did it. This is a small family owned store that deserves your business because they care about it.
