My baby was presented to me outside so I could be with her in the last moments of life. Lovely Dr B asked me along the way if I was ready for each step including the injection that would allow her transition. As I looked into her changing eyes I started to understand her love and trust in me as we both knew it was her time. Remarkably I saw the doc change from healer to a real person. A week later the entire support staff sent a hand signed sympathy card. Who does that! I picked up her pawprint. I realized that shall never replace her, but I am nothing but grateful for the tenderness she knew in her last moments
