BRIDES BEWARE! Using Rosa as my florist was the biggest mistake and most disappointing part of my wedding day. I have tried to hold off on this review since I don't usually post negative reviews, but I have been feeling so sad about my wedding flowers this past April that I felt I had to to help future brides. I initially chatted with her on the phone and all seemed well, I described to her the lush flowers I was hoping for and she seemed to know what she was doing and assured me that they would be how I was dreaming. I had a small family wedding, but I was willing to pay a lot for my flowers because I wanted a very lush and beautiful arch overlooking the ocean, a lush table garland with lots of flowers, and other pieces (just very lush in general). I emailed her pics of each of the statement pieces I wanted, and she told me that she could do it. I had asked for mostly white peonies with some blush and white garden roses with anemones with blue centers and greenery for all florals. Instead, I received cheap common roses, cheap babies breath, and only 2 peonies in ALL of my flowers. They was no consistency across the floral arrangements, there were purple flowers in most of them (I asked for blush pink), the arch was almost entirely bare leaving mostly metal showing, and the table garland was cheap, preordered greenery and undecorated with florals as I had asked and paid for. I was so sad on my wedding day and it disrupted getting ready time because my sister (and maid of honor) was sweet enough to hunt down the florist during makeup time, and ask if they were even the right flowers (!!), they were so different from what I had asked. Turns out Rosa (the actual florist) didn't even bother to show up and design my arch or add flowers to my garland, it was just one of her delivery people who zip tied the small groupings of flowers on the arch.. My sister and family told me that the flowers looked like someone at Safeway put them together. I would have given her 1 star, but she did give me a partial refund, even though the amount I paid didn't make up for the lack of quality, quantity, and artistic quality in the flowers I did receive. Go to a different florist if you want lush, beautiful flowers and a responsive florist who listens to what you're dreaming of. I'll post more comparison pics of my flowers and what I asked for when I get them back from my photographer. read more

I really enjoyed working with Rosa on the flowers for my wedding in July 2017. My bouquet and my bridesmaids' bouquets looked amazing, as did the floral arrangements for the ceremony and the reception. The flowers were an important part of the wedding for me. I had shared with her some descriptions and photos of what I was imagining, and the floral arrangements reflected what we were going for. She also pinned the boutonnieres on the men, corsages on the women, and even flowers on the collars of our two dogs. I really appreciated all of that, and her attention to detail, including replacing some older eucalyptus leaves we had brought up with a fresh supply to decorate our announcement board with. If there were a million star options, I'd give that to Rosa. She was absolutely phenomenal, everything from fair pricing, to great ideas, to pulling it off on the day of. We live 3.5 hours away from Mendocino, so we had to sit down on one visit and verbally discuss the flower options, which made me a bit nervous. She seemed confident that she knew what I was envisioning though, so I just decided to trust her. The day of the wedding she showed up with bouquets and boutonnieres that blew my expectations out of the water. They were exactly what I had envisioned, and I can't stop looking at my photos. Not to mention, she is the SWEETEST woman and lovely to be around. My husband and I are avid hikers and backpackers who love the native greenery and wildflowers of northern California, and who also love succulents and air plants, so I asked Rosa to create a bouquet that included all of those elements. We met with her months before the wedding and she took all of our information, details, likes/dislikes... it was so easy to meet with her, to plan and to talk to her. For the reception site, she took all of the vases I had for the wedding (mainly mason jars) and she put it all together! She decorated each table perfectly! Our initial meeting (after a series of emails) ran over an hour, while she wrote down everything that we liked, disliked, and wanted. We were so impressed with her attention to detail! We knew she would be perfect for us. All of my guests could not stop complimenting our bouquets and the flowers. Below is an excerpt from the email I sent Rosa after the wedding: "Thank you so much for the beautiful flowers you did for our wedding. My bouquet was better than I had ever dreamed it would be! You perfectly took my vision of dahlias, open roses, succulents, vines, and other beautiful soft colored flowers and made them into something that I was having trouble envisioning! (Really, I had never seen succulents and vines together, and was worried about how they would go. It was PERFECT.) I love how the brooches were added to the bouquet and the ribbon-wrapped handle, and appreciated your suggestion that my special brooches from my grandma go in a place of honor on the handle, as well as incorporating some onto my bridesmaids slightly brighter bouquets. How does this woman have no reviews yet? We purchased and elopement package from Elope Mendocino and were put in touch with Rosa for our floral. We gave very little guidance. Said we like hand tied bouquets and sent her a picture of my wife's sash to illustrate the color scheme we were going for. I also mentioned my wife liked all the purple bouquets she had seen, but that I didn't know how we would incorporate purple into our color scheme. Rosa sent the response "got it". So on our big day she delivered the flowers to our inn. I didn't meet her, but when I came down to the ins main room and the ladies showed me the flowers...oh my god! Beautiful!!! She had incorporated little bits of purple in, penned little jewels into the roses which matched the jewels on the sash, etc. It was clear she put a lot of thought into it and we appreciate that very much.
