The powder didn't cost more, they just wanted the cost of a French set. Additionally, the grit on the bit they use is WAY TOO HARSH for the natural nail. Not sure how they haven't already been reported to the Alabama Board of Cosmetology. I do NOT recommend.

There was an issue with a woman that got the VIP package which included the pedicure and a hand massage/hand mask for $75. Throughout the process she added a manicure gel polish to her nails and toes which costs~$30 each. Plus added on some other extras. She got to the checkout and owed $170.. she claimed she didn't have money to pay and tried argued with the owner for a good 10 minutes about what was included in the package bc she thought the polish and everything was included. I told Annie, the lady working on my nails to just make her pay for the VIP and I'll pay the difference and tip. She was causing a scene and ruining my happy vibe. Annie wouldn't let me pay. Customers started yelling at the mad lady. She eventually said "you can run my card but it'll decline." The owner ran it and it went through. I got my cuticles cut, SNS tips and a pedicure with gel polish thinking it would be close to $100.. the total came to $140. I'm not sure how they do their pricing but it's a little sketch. Annie was great and I'd love to see her again but pricing is very high and by word of mouth there seems to always be drama going on in there. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and directed to select our polishes. They were able to immediately seat us in the pedicure chairs and have a staff member work on us right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive, checking in to make sure we got the manicures and pedicures we wanted. The pedicure was very typical to what you'd expect at any other nail salon, finished with hot towels wrapped around your shins. Tools they used were clean, and they had great attention to detail. I wasn't a fan of the massage chair, as it felt very weak and beeped every time I pressed a button. Wasn't awful, but I've experienced better. There's plenty of magazines to read and also a live television to watch while you are waiting (the local news was on when I was in). Purity Nails advertises their gift certificates, but those expire 6 months after purchase. If you end up getting one, I'd highly recommend paying very close attention to the expiration date! Their prices are great. They have three tiers of manicures and pedicures. At the lowest level, you can get a regular manicure for $12 and a spa pedicure for $22. I'm pretty sure there's a discount for the women's manicure and pedicure ($32 for the combo, but don't quote me on that). I only say that because a men's manicure and pedicure is $35, and the men's spa pedicure a la carte is $25 instead of $22 for women's. Good value, will return for nail services when I'm in town!

I get S and S on my nails - regular polish on toes. I can go up to 4-5 weeks with the dip and toe polish.. lol the new growth on the nails looks ratchet.. but the paint stays on... every 3-4 weeks visit is ideal. Weekends are extremely busy. The wait areas are comfy .. just plan on at least 1 hour wait ‍ Monday- Friday 930- 400 you can get finger and toes done in about one hour. Taylor does great eyebrow waxes as well. I normally come to this nail salon because of the quality of her product and the fact that it is usually very clean. The nail tech came to start on my nails while I was getting a pedicure, I explained to her that my nails are usually sensitive so please don't drill a lot, but she still drilled heavy. I also asked if she could taper my nails at an angle because I don't like the square shape. I hate the fact that they don't understand English but want to own a shop and hurt people, if you don't understand English, take the time and learn if you want to offer services to the public!
