The manager, Tyrone, was hostile towards me when I was trying to pay for my service. They continued to push me to pay for their subscription, I repeatedly said no, and then the manager accused me of attacking his employees. My technician was a sweetheart and did a great job, but the management at this location needs to change. They lost a customer today over his behavior towards me. read more

Nope. The wax specialist, if you would call her that, was so careless and fast. Huge strips over and over again that were pulled too soon and hurt like hell. Didn't pay attention to the direction of the hair and the room was a mess. Only reason I even think it was worth it was because I got the first time user discount. I'd rather wax myself. She also didn't get out any ingrown hairs. She just didn't give enough of a crap to do anything over the bare minimum. read more

European Wax is where it's at! My first wax experience was a few years ago and it was very traumatic in the back of a nail salon that a friend recommended. Needless to say I was scared to get waxed again. I worked up the nerve and made an appointment with European Wax in Mobile AL. The receptionist was friendly and checked me in quickly and then showed me some of the products they have. Kel was my wax specialist. I explained to her my first and only other time I was waxed was traumatic physically and emotionally. I was waxed with strips and soft wax and it tore some skin and left major bruising. Kel walked me through everything she was going to do and explained the techniques and wax she was using. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. After waxing she recommended some products and educated me on aftercare. Kel was speedy and efficient, professional and very kind. I recommend going here to everyone and I will be back! Idek wtf is wrong with this wax center I sent my girlfriend here for her birthday because her co workers had been telling her she absolutely just had to try this place out. She went this past Friday and said she had a great experience with the waxer and trust me it was smooth. But according to her the lines were absolutely horrible it was Un organized as possible and there were TWO receptionist up front one even had a manager tag on but the only thing she was managing was her cell phone. The other girl was checking people in and out as quickly as she could with no help from the so called manager. The girl seemed slightly upset from all the pressure of trying to get everyone in and out. Work places are often ruined by horrible management and this is one of those situations. Will not ever be sending her to a place with that kind of service again! read more

I arrived on the 9th minute of the late policy just to be told without any compassion, we could not be seen. No resolution, nothing!! No refunds available. After multiple last minute cancellations bg the staff, and rebooking of my scheduled appointments, I was annoyed. Contacted management to request a refund as their schedules were not open enough to accommodate me for these last minute changes that they were making. I had pre-purchased a years worth of passes. I was only able to use a few due to the lack of availability of staff and inability to keep my pre-scheduled appointments. I was told new management and new staff would remedy the issue but had continued mistreatment. Despite all of this, contact to corporate office, specific known instances of misconduct of staff, policy stands no refunds, store credit only! I do not recommend and will happily pass my store credit to prevent another consumer mistake. Beware!! read more

Honestly, this was a slightly traumatizing experience. I was there a few minutes early. However, there was a woman in front of me for a while (absolutely no problem). However, when the woman ahead of me finished, it was getting close to the 9 minute mark. They weren't accommodating to that whatsoever. The receptionist was rude, but it's whatever. I was finally rushed back and I asked the waxer if I could run go to the restroom really quick. She said "no" at first then said "you better hurry or I am going to cancel your appointment." The wax itself was rushed and there were many times after pulling that pressure was not applied. This was due to her rushing. After the wax, I was rushed out and told that I needed to buy a serum. I personally did not want to buy any serum, but she was so aggressive about it that I didn't really have a choice. I felt cornered into buying it. I didn't get a chance to look at the ingredients or anything, but even if the ingredients were fine, it still smelled really bad. During checkout, when saying that I didn't want to buy a package, the receptionist rolled her eyes at me. When she asked for my payment she asked "ARE YOU GONNA LEAVE A TIP FOR HER TODAY???!!!" extremely loudly and aggressively. I am one that always tips (even though the service was horrible), but that was still such a rude way to ask. Later that day, I noticed that large chunks of wax were still on the area that was waxed. I've been to EWC twice and both experiences were HORRENDOUS! The last time I went, there was incredibly long check out lines and there were 2 people working at the desk. Only one was doing their job and the other had a manager badge on, but wasn't doing a single thing. This time I went and there was a DOG in the waiting area, lunging at people. This is a safety and health hazard and I will NOT be returning. read more
