I went for the burger because the locals I was with recommended it. They even recommended a specific burger. I can't recall the name but it at bacon, a potato cake and local abondance cheese. Very unique and tasty burger. I can say there will be nowhere else you could find such a burger. Two of my colleagues had salads which looked great. It's nice to find some food variety in this area and if you're in the mood for burgers or pub food go here for sure.

We were greeted and sat promptly and our waitress let us have plenty of time to look through the menu to decide what we wanted. My mother got a goat cheese salad and I got the morges pizza which had mushrooms and sausage on it. The food came quickly which was good because we were starving! My pizza was not that good. In the middle of the pizza the crust was very soggy to the point where I did not want to eat it. The sausage also had a strange taste that I did not care for either. My mothers salad was also just okay. It was basically just a garden salad with a horseradish dressing which neither of us cared for too much. The star however was the bread and warm goat cheese that came with her salad. It was so delicious I wish we could have ordered 15 of them and had those for lunch. We finished our order with the cheese plate which was good. The service was good despite there being a slight language barrier between us and our waitress who was very sweet and took great care of us!

Despite an amazing location, the prices remain relatively reasonable and the quality - pretty high. Overall, it's a decent place to go to and despite a cheesy theme is everything but a tourist trap. The restaurant focuses on the High Savoy specialties - most importantly various melted cheese dishes, notably fondues, tartiflette and raclettes. During our visit, we opted for fondue and several small dishes with a central plate of melted cheese with charcuterie. The incredible amounts and great cheeses definitely contributed to our satisfaction with this place, but the wines offered on the menu, the mood on the inside and a nice and welcoming server contributed to creating a great overall experience.

I ordered the Escalade menu which is an extremely moderately priced (relative to Geneva) 3-course menu of salad, entree (the American kind not the French) and a dessert. The salad was fantastic... not your usual side salad with one slice of carrot on iceberg lettuce... this one had a mesclun mix of greens, tomatoes, thinly shaved cheese and some sort of duck sliced meat. The beef dish came with some heavenly bechamel carrot and salsify casserole type sides, broccoli, plus a full order of fries. It was quite a lot of food. And then for dessert I opted for the chocolate mousse... I'm still salivating. They have a modest selection of wines... very reasonably priced (4-8 CHF). The waiter was very attentive and was happy to answer my questions in English, Spanish or Portuñol... and patiently entertained my 4-5 French phrases with a smile (the good kind).
