If you're looking for arroz/paella dishes on the beach in Valencia, it's hard to escape a tourist type of destination. Despite this, I found the food here to be delicious! Their rice dishes demonstrate the satisfying, audibly crunchy, soccarat that's lacking in many of the typical high turnover restaurants. Hearing the waiter crack the soccarat while serving us our arroz negre brought a huge smile to my face. We were informed of a wait of 30-40 minutes when ordering any rice dish, with a minimum 2 portion per order as each dish is made fresh to order in paella pans. Compared to other restaurants we tried in the same area, this place was definitely the winner. In addition to the arroz negre, we ordered mussels in marinara. Perfectly cooked, fresh and large mussels with a simple tomato purée and olive oil. Delicious food on a Mediterranean beach. read more
