We had such a pleasant (and lucky) visit here as our hotel was nearby. After a full day on foot,…read morebeing a tourist, we arrived here late in the evening. Our waiter turned out to be the owner, who was extremely accommodating and considerate of our famished selves. The service here was our favorite, considering our dining experiences throughout our whole trip had not been up to par.
Half of our party got the chicken special; the other half, a medium steak meal; and one, a chicken tagiatelle. Our chicken dishes were delicious, filling, and budget friendly! The steaks were in a separate category. They arrived to the table well done when my friends had ordered it to be medium. The owner did not hesitate to bring new ones, and even offered to bring more fried potatoes when he noticed we were all over those. Those potatoes were a guilty pleasure.
Our experience doesn't end there. Since it was so late in the evening, not much was open in the area. While we waited for dinner, my friend and I checked out the grocery store across to get fresh milk. To our surprise, the store didn't have any. The lack of fresh milk is unacceptable for my British fam so we resorted to asking the hospitable owner if we could purchase milk from him. Again, he did not hesitate at all, and gave us a liter (offered 2) of unopened fresh milk without charge. This kind gesture was such a heroic move as the milk served us plenty cups of tea for our whole trip. For that, I cannot tell you enough how much my British fam and American me are grateful.
Overall experience and service was an A plus for me. Thank you for a meal to remember in beautiful Paris!
