Looking for a good Italian restaurant which isn't too pricy we found out about this awesome place! Tuesday evening , 10 pm, and it was full of people!!! From this moment on we knew it would get amazing. Luckily we got a table . I would suggest to make a reservation ! We had free bread, dried tomatoes in oil, free meatballs , insalata caprese and fried bread, homemade lasagne and homemade linguini with shrimps , 2 drinks! All together we paid 48 Euro which was incredibly good ! The Food was high quality , the service was extremely good! We can highly recommend this Italian restaurant. ! read more

Take this with a grain of salt in that this is the first restaurant that my girlfriend and I ate at in Milan, but this was the best lasagna we've ever had. Anywhere. Everything we had there was great: the antipasto appetizer, the homemade spaghetti, the chocolate soufflé, the complimentary Prosecco, complimentary candy and peanuts, the cappuccino, and the wine. I'm not much of a "yelper" but I had to take some time during my trip here in Milano to make a plug for this restaurant. Last night four of us walked in just as they were closing, we felt awful about it but the owner insisted we sit down and he would make us a special meal. What ensued was the best family style Italian dining experience I've ever had. Several types of pasta, pickles vegis, great wine, Tiramisu, and a exciting friendly restaurant owner who wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves in his establishment. Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. The owner and his staff created an extremely warm and welcoming environment for us. We had the carpaccio, meatballs with polenta, carbonara, ravioli with gorgonzola and pear, linguine with shrimp and cherry tomatoes and Osso Buco with saffron risotto. (the picture is a half portion as they split it for us without having to ask) The seafood was fresh and the pasta al dente. Ask for the vino bianco della casa (house white wine) and the fried bread. If you are not in the neighborhood it is worth a short cab ride. We ate there numerous times so we could try different dishes. All were delizioso! Best service you can get in milan. We didn't have a reservation but they could have us for an hour( which was enough). The service was quick and the food was amazing!! They gave us prosecco with bread, sun dried tomatoes and meat balls for starters! My friend had the lasagna and i had pear tortellini with walnuts and they were perfect! To top it all up they gave us limoncello, clementines and sweets!! We wished we could have stayed longer.. next time we'll definitely make a reservation Its a must go restaurant! Impressive hospitality and welcome. I did not have reservation but my Airbnb host highly recommended this place (I asked for local, non touristy and walking distance from the apartment) I came to dine here alone at the ripe time of 1030pm (after overnighting in Bergamo the previous night and lunching in Parma the same day and ran around Milan to see the tourist spots; this was a first visit - yeah , that unabated heady mix of exuberance even after Malta and Reykjavik and Amsterdam weeks before, why stop?!) and the place was still full. Friendly and warm service and attentive. This is of course away from the madness of the duomo or navigli- not quite the burbs but a hike from vittorio emanuelle-- yeah that grand covered mall. They start you off on the house with a copa of grappa or pinot Grigio , I think. A warm bread basket-- come to think of it, fried, puffy piping hot bread not unlike the sopaipillas one gets from my hometown. There's a serving of sun-dried tomatoes in aioli. A bowl of an amuse of meatballs in red gravy--here you cannot help but sop that red gravy with the bread. And I was intending to eat light... I felt bad ordering just a plate of salad with grilled shrimp as it was late... and beer. Huge portion and all delicious and the vibe was just right-- there is French and loud Americans and proper Brits. Smiles and clinking of glasses all around . I am loving Milan. And already I'm resolving to return (even though I left /lost an iPhone 6plus earlier that evening at the Rizzoli bookstore within the previously mentioned Vittorio Emanuelle) So you can understand that the warmth and welcome of the restaurant is comforting- a Calgon moment sans the bubbles ... indulge me... And at the conclusion , they bring a basket full , a mound of clementines, plus a carafe of limoncello -- no they don't deliver and wait for you to pour a tassito-- you look around the tables and each has its own carafe. And so you're full and thrilled and giddy and pinch yourself-- and think : what good karma did I plant when? And as if that was not enough, they come deliver one after another by waitresses and waiter and park them all there, jars, yes 3 jars! of gummy candies -- of at least three flavors! Great food! Stopped in here for dinner with a friend on a Saturday evening and we were seated right away. I ordered the pasta with gorgonzola, pears and walnuts based on other yelp reviews and it was delicious! My friend order the paparadelle with Wagyu beef and enjoyed it as well. We ate our food to go yesterday because we did not have a reservation and all tables were reserved until 10:00pm. I can see why. The environment in the location was awesome! The owner was all over the restaurant greeting people and welcoming them. He introduced himself to us an apologized that they couldn't seat us. It made me want to eat in the location even more. This is truly a place I recommend to anyone. We had a chicken dish and lasagna. Both were outstanding! The quality and taste of the food deserve 5 stars! The owner was so apologetic that he could't seat us that he gave us a bottle of wine! Wow, talk about going above and beyond!! This was by far the most fun we had at dinner our entire trip....oh and did I mention the food was great. turned out staying in the Certosa neighborhood may have had the disadvantage of distance from downtown and Milano Centrale the food choices were outstanding. The decor is vintage classy, we actually thought we might be under attired but we were fine. Having walked for 11 hours thru the Milan World EXPO we had definitely worked up an appitite and this place did not let us down. Immediately upon sitting we were served a bowl of sundried tomates, rehydrated not dry and tough, a big basket of bread and a bowl of Meatballs in sauce....Complimenti. Unreal. We made that disappear quick and ordered a bottle of the house red and a bottle of sparkling water. We started with the antipasti which of course had Prosciutto, Buffalo Mozzarella, Salami and various Vegs. For dinner I had the Osso buco with saffron risotto, incredible. My nephew had the veal Milanese. Huge portions of delicious food. when our meal was finished they brought us a bottle of house made Limoncello, again complimenti. Then they gave us large bottles of candies to sample. The staff here is the best. When we were done I had to tell them how special the meal was and how we appreciated the service. We were immediately surrounded by staff giving us more drinks and one of the wait staff' mother's homemade liquor to sample. This restaurant was AMAZING! It is the best place we have eaten at during our time here in Europe! The staff were nice and efficient, the food was incredible and the owner was so friendly and made you feel like family! I would recommend anyone who is in Milan to head here for a meal. I wish we weren't leaving tomorrow so we could come back again! The decor is gorgeous and they have jars full of candy to snack on while you're waiting. This is truly been one of the best itallion restaurants I've I've ever been to. The owner was very kind and it was one of the most hospitable individuals and our server as well! We ended up waiting and noticed we were not served. He came to the table and made our night! I've never witnessed such a humble and attentive owner. His staff and his quality of service and food were beyond comparison in the states. The bottle wine he sold us was $26 called LU. It's better than many of the wines of $150 in the states. The bread was more like a pastry and the prawn salad was with a white creamy sauce! I had a combo pasta dish he made for me. One with white cream and the other with red. The pasta was the best I've ever experienced! To top it off, they served us a creamy lemon chello and 4-6 different candies! What a wonderful experience! An absolutly wonderful and lovely place. We came here because of the very good ratings at qype. And that was a great idea. It was a saturday evening and the restaurant was full. We had to wait for a table but that was the first wonderful happening. We got whitewine and snacks at the bar. At the table (30 minutes later) we ordered red tuna and steak and got, while waiting, tomatoes and meatballs. The meal was fantastic and very very tasty. After all that we got amaretto and sweets. The stuff was great. They took really good care and spoke english fluently. Everybody who comes to milan has to visit this restaurant. That night was a delightful event. read more

I don't bormally write reviews on Facebook but this one is special! We arrived in Milan late last night by the time we got to this restaurant, kitchen was closed. However the master chef Mirako @l'immagine saw us and had us seated. He didn't give us any menus, all he said take a seat and I'll take care of you. Based on the reviews and the proximity to our hotel we decided to give this place a try. What can I say but it was awesome. There was so much on the menu I wanted it became nearly impossible to choose. The food itself was fantastic. If I could give this place 6*'s I would. I would say make reservations if you are able to, especially on Saturdays, they do accept walk-ins and are worth the wait. Parking is scarce in the area, so take a taxi, grab an uber, or walk if you have to, but eat here! The service. Quick and friendly, the food is AMAZING, and the place is clean and has a homey atmosphere. Had the asparagus and shrimp soup, my new ATF, and the barbecue ribeye was to die for. Fantastic dining experience! Chose to go here since it was one of the higest rated Milan resraurants on Trip Advisor. We stayed at the Doubletree nearby and it was a quick walk to here. Upon realizing that we were Americans, they changed our waitress to one who spoke English. In the beginning she was very helpful,but once our meal was served, she didn't follow up with us again. However, the meal was amazing, we had the albatross salad(with shrimp )it was delish & worth the price. We Also had gnocchi(stuffed with pear & cheese)with walnuts,soooooooo goood. We Also had tagliatelle with shrimp in a red sauce. It was yummy. They gave us free bread, limoncello & a complimentary candy assortment at the end. It was a great experience & we'll be back.
