It's been over a month since we visited this restaurant but I wanted to give some proper thought on writing about our wonderful experience dining there. We stumbled across this restaurant in search of vegetarian food in an area where we realized options were limited and were very warmly welcomed in. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful as it had a lovely lavender theme and was classy and spacious. The owners were very accommodating and gladly suggested some vegetarian options for our family of five. The bread and chilli oil starter was fresh and tasty and was an incredible preview of the dishes that were to come. We started off with vegetarian pizza which was incredible...having had pizza so often during our trip we were blown away by how delicious this vegetarian pizza was. And just when we thought nothing could top the pizza out came another incredible dish - a mushroom and zucchini risotto. Each dish was a marvel and yet again the owner/chef presented us with another outstanding dish - pear and cheese ravioli with poppy seeds. Each dish danced on our taste buds sending waves of euphoric delight. We ended the meal with tiramisu and coffee - which we agreed was the best we ever had. The authenticity and sincerity of the owners/chefs shines through their food. They really put their heart into each dish. The owner was kind and stopped by to create some banter. Simply a wonderful family-run restaurant with exceptional food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They were able to easily accommodate our party of 12 for dinner (around 7:30PM). Each dish is handcrafted, noting that the chef/owner Paul's mother and father specially make several dishes including the delicious Tiramisu and Limoncello. There is a clear attention to detail and quality in all the food they make and serve. Our group left with our stomachs and hearts full -- highest of recommendation for this incredible spot. Amazing small restaurant on the Milano Centrale area. Best homemade food served by the owners. We went for dinner around 9pm and had a wonderful traditional (can't leave Milano without trying it) Risotto alla Milanese with osobuco. (You can have it without the osobuco) and tagliatini nero with calamari. Both were delicious. We ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and a glass of Falanghina to pair our plates. For dessert we ordered the apple cake with vanilla ice cream that was incredible. Prices are very, very reasonable, service was friendly but professional and ambiance was relaxed and pleasant. They have outdoor seating to enjoy the mild summer nights. We finished with a couple of limoncello courtesy of the house. Lovely spot close to the central railroad station. Unlike the rail station, however, they have CHAIRS! I worked up an appetite after a long wait, standing up, to modify tickets. It seemed like most other diners were eating pasta, so when in Milan... Lots of locals, including families. No other tourists in evidence. Lots of food photos, but only two sketchy interiors, see new ones. This is more in the traditional Milanese style than the new ultramodern mode. read more

We went to this place at around 7 pm. Restaurant was not busy. After being seated, they made us wait for an hour before anybody came. No drinks or appetizers. Some lady came after an hour looked like a manager or owner. People who came after us already had drinks and food served. Our drinks came after 45 minutes. Somebody came for food order. Our food also came after an hour and that too with messed up order. We were very unhappy. Looked like they did not like Americans. I would avoid this place at any cost. Food was mediocre. No bread was served with drinks even though we ordered breads to go with our drinks. Overall very very bad experience. Ambiance was very negative. If I could I would give negative stars. read more

I was a little disoriented at mealtime, so my recollection is a little foggy and I didn't have a 100% appetite, but I found this to be a pretty solid option if you are in this area of the city. Pastas were well-constructed. There were multiple varieties of Risotto (most priced for 2). I found mine to be a little thick, but properly cooked. I went with an 18E version that included shaved truffles, but with the subsequent education in how amazing and flavorful these mushrooms can be, I wonder why the truffles here were so tame in comparison (perhaps they were summer truffles? Or sourced from Eastern Europe?). read more

Wow! When I checked YELP, there was not a review less than 1 year ago so I was a bit skeptical even though the overall rating was high. No need to be skeptical any longer. This is a wonderful dining experience with great food. We started with Frisella with tuna tartare, tomatoes, rucola and mint and lime...so good! Then I had the Paccheri with fresh tuna. Very well balanced with no strong taste. My wife had the Fiocchetti that had a hint of sweetness from the pear. We shared a lavender panna cotta which was a refreshing change from the standard one served elsewhere. Lastly the waiter recommended a Brunello Riserva 2010. It was 65 euros but worth every cent. I have become a convert from lesser Brunello wines I have had in the past. Great choice to come here! read more

Took a nice stroll out of the chaos of Milan and the super hot models and fashion into the neighborhoods surrounding this beautiful city. The portions were perfect, European size not fat American size, the pasta was cooked perfect. The wine house was fantastic and the desserts spot on. I spoke very little Italian, but now I am an expert because my girlfriends father is straight off the boat and I want to be cool like him one day ;) I mean it, he speaks hardly any english and isn't very good at it. That said, the only other language sexier than Italian is French and as much as I hate that country and those people who hate us, I love that language. Oh yes this place, small quaint and amazing. We met some amazing locals and even though there was a language barrier we got through it, because I'm wicked smart..... Great choice for dinner! The inside of the restaurant was very cute and inviting. The staff was also very inviting and were eager to help in navigating the menu. The oysters were extremely fresh, and the homemade pastas were absolutely delicious! I was even provided a complimentary glass of champagne to go with the oysters. This was one of the absolute best meals we had in coming to Italy. The food was amazing, I wish we could steal the chef and have them come to Philadelphia. The ambiance and service was impeccable. We had one of the best dining experiences in this place during our visit in Italy. The elderly woman was very sweet and welcoming. The menu consists a lot of seafood. Absolutely delicious! It's worth the little walk to a less-touristy part of Milan. One of the staff members spoke fluent English which was helpful, but it's by no means a tourist trap. I got the pear pasta which was OUTSTANDING. It sounds weird, but the hint of pear cuts the richness of all the cheese perfectly. Be aware that there's a 3 euro charge for "bread and service" and ordering water means paying for a bottle. read more

Excellent! Spent a full day walking the city and was looking for some good food for dinner. Based on previous reviews I decided to check this place out. (It was also close to my hotel.) A cute restaurant that has an ample list of entrees but I focused my attention on the specials. The turbot with mushrooms was recommended and it did not disappoint. Presentation might not be very visually appealing but trust me it tasted great. Fish was fresh and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I also splurged on dessert and went with the recommended crepe Nutella over my favorite soufflé dessert and was very pleased with the crepe, even if I was overly stuffed by the time I walked out the door. My bill, which included a glass of wine and sparkling water, came out to less than €40. I warmly recommend you try this gem of a restaurant. read more

Best meal we had in Milan and top 3 over 2 weeks in Italy (although admittedly we only ate at places that's were ~40 euros or less per person). Close to central station and our airbnb. The three of us had the lobster pasta (had half a lobster with it!), a cut of beef (cooked perfectly medium rare), and the pasta with pears and poppy seeds which was recommended to us by the son/co-owner and was definitely the best pasta I had in Italy, it was amazingly good and I can't even imagine how I would attempt replicate it at home. With a bottle of wine, water, two desserts which were big delicious and service fee/tip we ended up at about 110 euros which was a great value for us. The bread basket had 3 types of homemade bread and the pasta was all made in house. We went on a Tuesday night during off-season and the restaurant was about 1/2 full; the one waiter on staff was a bit surly but the son/co-owner who was also serving that night was friendly, attentive, spoke excellent English, and did not lead us astray with his recommendations! Will definitely return next time we are in Milan and will recommend to friends and family. read more

Found this place with only 4 reviews on yelp but some other good reviews on Google. Decided to try it out on a cuff. Very beautiful interior large,cool and elegant. The homemade bread they served was warm and delicious. Had the fried calamari/zucchini as a starter...so good. Order the Tortellini with cheese and apples. My girl ordered the gnocchi with bacon and zucchini....wow. Both dishes had a blend of tastes out of this world, and we have been to high end Italian restaurants before. Even though we were stuffed we had to try the dessert. I tried to order the cannolo but they were out. We settled on tiramisu which expertly was delicious. We are coming back for a second night before we leave Milano. read more

After a long day of traveling we were welcomed into this beautiful restaurant looking like trash. They sat us promptly and started us off with wine and bread. I was impressed at the fact that the waitress brought us our own premade plates of oil and vinegar!
