I decided to go during my lunch break and was greeted by Cecilia. She was so wonderful and helpful. I was looking for a body oil to which she recommended the almond body oil with shimmering. I get so many compliments on my skin and I feel my body to be more moisturized. She also recommended the lip balm which is now my favorite and highly recommend. I stopped by the store last week to pick up a last-minute gift for my mom's birthday. A short blonde saleswoman greeted me and made the whole experience so fun! I have liked L'Occitane products for years, so my review is mostly about the location and customer service (although of course the products are great too). Ruth was incredibly kind and helpful as soon as I walked in, and I appreciated that she recommended things while still being genuine and not pushing for the sake of selling a product. On the fence about my recent first and likely last store experience. I got on the mailing list after ordering some gift items couple Christmases ago. Received an email offer for my birthday month and thought why not check it out. The 2 girls behind the counter were friendly, albeit lacking much professionalism. The "hand massage" was meh. The discount offer for birthday month was riddled with rules and exclusions. Ugh. As for the birthday gift with any purchase, i couldn't find anything useful now worthwhile... pass. read more

Every time I go to this store I always have an amazing experience but today an elderly woman named Toni helped me and she was just so rude. She kept making faces when talking to me never once did she smile. When I go in this store the least I expect is to feel judged or uncomfortable which is exactly what her facial expressions made me feel. She also never even offered any samples. Every time I go always get offered samples this is the time first I don't. I had to ask her for them and she had an attitude reaching for them. She only gave me a shampoo sample and i asked if she had any lotion samples she claimed there was none. I usually always spend a good amount and always get offered sample gifts as well, she claimed there wasn't any today, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. I just hope other customers don't experience this uncomfortable experience i had with her. read more

This was the first time in this store but the salesperson, Kayla, was very friendly and helpful. She helped me try on various lotions until I found just the right one. Even when I was checking out and changed my mind from one item to another it didn't phase her. She changed the item, and wrapped each item meticulously making each package very attractive and special. She even suggested a few items that were on sale which helped me get a good buy. I was looking for a present for my mother and "Chris" helped me pick out the perfect thing! He was so nice and genuinely cared about what I was looking for and gave great recommendations. The products this store carries are wonderful and of very good quality (should be it's pricey but worth it!). I've tried the vegetable soaps and a few hand creams that I really like and bought my mom a shower gel that had a subtle almond scent that turned into milk when you actually put water on it! I tried to order online, phone call, and in-store with my EGift (Anniversary gift from my husband). It wasn't process due their EGift cards system and also didn't work when they finished with system-update. Customer service emailed me and asked me for my numbers and never received the call or response....From this person.....Sheena. It's a BAD customer service on an online, in-stores, and on phone with customer services! I tried again online and still unsuccessful since November. Therefore, I decide to go into the store to buy the lotion at Marina Del ray location. The manager tried for couple times and also talked customer service as well. It's still unsuccessful. She's surprised. This is an unacceptable and illegal to run a business like this. This e-gift card is from my husband for Anniversary gift and still CASH. If I can't use it, why bother to buy any products from your company. I already used part of it in September and still left $121.34. I already missed many promotions and selected items to buy and still you refused to let me buy with my e-gift card. I want my CASH back in U.S. Dollars. I was in the MDR store a couple of months ago on a Sunday afternoon. Not busy, no other customers in the store. I explained to the sales person that I'd like to pay the difference to exchange a gift. I was given a large box of L'Occitane products that were mostly lavender. That scent gives me a headache, so I just wanted to exchange for anything else. Everything was sealed, unopened and in the original gift box. She said that she'd ask the manager. The manager (shorter blond woman with a ponytail) came out of the back room with her mouth full of food. Obviously having lunch .... She just shook her head and said, "Nope, they were part of a gift set." Did not make eye contact, just shook her head. I stated that I was happy to pay any upcharge, but she just shrugged and shook her head. I was pretty surprised at that response, but more at her unprofessional handling of the situation. What she had no way of knowing was that I was there for another reason. I'd been asked to purchase items for gift bags for an event for my office. I would have spent about $2,500 that day. And would have been back to purchase for each of the upcoming events (8 more). Instead, I headed on over to another shop that sells a similar product and they could not have been more gracious. I donated my L'Occitane gift to a women's shelter and although the products are lovely, I will not be shopping here again. read more

I was there on 8/10/14 at the end of the day. I was looking for a room spray for the kitchen. The sales girl showed me lavender and asked me if that was what I was looking for. I said no, the spray I'm interested in is for the kitchen. She rudely replied "Like I said". Um, not sure why you would answer a customer like that. Even if it was the end of the day or your tired etc. That is not acceptable. I've worked in retail myself in that same shopping center and I could never get away with answering customers, clients or anyone in that tone or those words. I'm a regular. Been using these products for years. Products are wonderful. The girl that helped me should be fired. I waited in line for my purchase. I them purchased my items and I asked the cashier how much the items were and she said the body wash was 22.00. I recall 20.00. She didn't show me the receipt and as I left I went over the the item and saw the price was 20.00. I told her that and she said "so". I said well you said it was 22.00 and she said so it comes out to the same. I told her I hadn't looked at my receipt yet I was just going I what she said. She said with a really bad attitude and hands on her hips "so I made a mistake, "it's still the same". I left the store and wrote this review. Her people skills steppe and her attitude is worse. I probably won't come back and if I do I certainly won't forget her and will walk out if she is there. Thin girl with long dark brown out of control hair. Shame on you fort resting your customers with a condescending attitude. read more
