My bad experience with the owner of this establishment started innocently enough when renting a…read morestorage unit from them last year. Over the course of 10 months we got behind by almost 3 months and as per our usual routine we were one day moving a few things out of the unit as we were slowly absorbing things into our already packed home. We were putting the items in the truck when the owner came up and asked us if we were emptying it out. we told him no that we were just getting a few things out and would be back the next day to get more and to pay him money ... seeing as how my wife had worked for him for a while earlier in the year and was on a first-name basis with him we thought nothing more of it however when we came back he had put a lock on the door to keep us out.... my wife who had been the first to speak highly of him felt insulted that he didn't trust us enough that we would pay our bill even though she knew him... And worked for him... And have lived nearby for many years..... hardly Drifters or fly-by-night operators.... maybe it was the extra $10 he gets for taking the lock back off? Who knows what was going through his head at that moment and treating a good customer that way...at any rate told him what I thought about it...paid him his money and he told us that we would have to come back later for him to unlock it. I asked him why wait because he had plenty of help to tend to customers and he screamed to come back later or he might make me wait until the next day.... or maybe even the next day to let me in my paid in full storage unit and access my belongings. We came back later and he had in fact opened it and left.... in all likelyhood to avoid me calling the sheriff to gain access.... needless to say he got his money (short term benefit) but lost a steady customer ( long term loss) not the way to run a business IMHO.
