Since we like to live on the wild side, we showed up to the restaurant without a reservation (we feel like reservations can make dining on vacation too stressful). Fortunately, we were seating after three minutes of waiting. After browsing the menu, we ordered the following: Salmon Avocato Tartare (wife), Angus Rumsteak (wife), the special of the day - beef with potatoes (me), two glasses of Bordeaux, and one glass of Sauvignon. Roughly 15 minutes later our orders arrived, smelling just as delicious as their titles. Initially I found the beef to lack in flavor; however, the included sauce immediately wiped that thought from my mind. The side of potatoes were plentiful (so much so that I couldn't fathom eating dessert afterwards) and the glass of Sauvignon was the perfect selection to wash down my meal. We were looking for a relaxed place to wind down, and it worked well. Arrival and First Impressions The café has a cozy and inviting bistro feel with a mix of locals and tourists. It is an unassuming spot but comfortable and easy to settle into. The staff were kind and quick. The Highlights We shared crêpes, a profiterole, and a vanilla crème brûlée. The crêpes were light, and the profiterole was rich and satisfying. The crème brûlée had a smooth custard and a delicate sugar topping. The kids also enjoyed their milkshakes, which made it a fun and easy stop. The Challenges The crème brûlée was slightly warm, and the sugar topping was thinner than expected, which was not ideal for our preferences. Final Thoughts We would return for a casual stop. It is a simple and enjoyable place to relax with good looking food and delicious sweets, and it offers solid value for a low-key Parisian experience.

I can't say I ever had cantaloupe in the salad but it was sweet and refreshing. The salmon special with pilaf rice and side salad was excellent. I feel like you can't really go wrong with the special of the day or fish of the day. Drinks were great! The martini I had was too pretty too drink. Not enough vodka but I think the champagne shot on the side was cool. We shared a crème brulee because I can't pass an opportunity to have dessert in Paris. The burnt sugar was over burned to the point that you can taste it. Maybe that's the way the French does it. The custard was just okay. The four complimentary macarons made up for it.
