It's been awhile since I've been here and some things have changed (for the better). The first big change is that this place now accepts credit cards which in my opinion is a big positive. The second change is that this place now offers free WiFi to their customers so while eating, I can use my tablet without having to activate the hotspot feature of my smartphone in order to use my tablet. During my last visit, they seemed to have moved away from offering fountain drinks (so no free refills) and now the drinks purchased are via plastic bottles (or possibly cans). The one thing is that they don't seem to offer a receipt after paying so you need to keep track of how much your item will cost when paying since I've had negative experiences with places that don't give receipts overcharging for the items which is one of the reasons why they don't give a receipt (because they don't want the customer to see that they've been overcharged). read more

I was pretty dissapointed with the quality of food here. I had the Italian poutine and was not impressed with sauce or the fries. It tastes like a can of ragu was poured on top of fries, no seasoning or anything. If you're in Québec are way better places to have a poutine. The service was fine. read more

I've been living in Montreal for the past nine years, and I've never been to La Belle Province, why? Because I'm not a big fan of that kind of junk food. But when you have kids who ask you to go, well, at one point you end up giving in to their request to try, because after all, why not? We went around 6pm, I did not order anything for me, but the boys each had a cheeseburger kid meal. They took our orders quickly, but the service was a little slow. They seemed to be confused about the very simple content of my order. When our order arrived, I tasted some french fries and I had the impression of eating oil, the cheeseburgers were not bad though. Despite the beautiful neon lights of the ceiling and the vintage look of the place, you will quickly notice that this restaurant needs maintenance: There are several huge holes in the ceiling and the painting on the walls are flaking. They apparently have new owners, which I hope will restore the splendor of that place, because for now we are far from my definition of a clean place serving food to clients. read more

The decor of neon and glittery decor of this Quebec style "diner" is worth the visit in itself. The location is very central and near a metro station and open late (seems the area for such). It's pretty clean for a late night place and the table was not even sticky - that's a plus. One draw back is that it's cash only, so I'm glad I had enough handy for a burger and soda (just under 7 including taxes). At 2 the can was a little pricey, but the burger was pretty fair at 3.75 before taxes. Especially that the meat seemed of good quality and taste. Right off the flat top, and dressed as you like. I even added fresh mushrooms. They thought I was joking, but it actually turned out to be a nice topping. Unfortunately, they were a little light on the toppings ie. one pickle, one tomato. I guess I could have specifically asked for two of each, but I'll leave it here... On many accounts this particular location (somewhat of a flagship for its size and location), is worthy of a four star. For now will be an A-OK. read more

its such a nice diner I love it. they fill the food up to the rim of whatever and the food itself just tastes so good omg. The savoury food like poutine and spaghetti are always really warm and fresh and I love it. The only thing I dont recommend is the salad because I bought it once, it wasnt as full as it could've been and it too soggy, the flavour was weird too it wasnt so rich and there werent any sauces just powdered spices and chicken. In spite of Covid 19 La Belle on Decarie stayed open! Milad the owner worked really hard and gave us our favorite steamy hot dogs and always delicious cheese burger! It's nice to see a owner who works hard to give you an excellent product and customers service! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back! read more

Many of my Montreal friends literally grew up on BellePro. Affordable, fast, and generally pretty solid food. I usually go for the cheeseburger, but sometimes I'll have the poutine and an occasional hot dog. Another plus is that BellePro is open later than most places, which is convenient for a night owl like myself. The staff at this particular BellePro are typically pretty nice, which is also a plus. read more

This is a 3 star rating based on similar places. I don't know what The F. is talking about, but having grown up not too far away, and have been to La Belle over 20 times past midnight I can can safely attest to making it out without problems each time. Sure, it's kinda grimy, but in that greasy casse-croute kind of way...and if you visit often they remember you and give you some slightly friendly banter. In the middle of night, of course the more seedy folks will be hanging out, but what the heck do you expect - it's next door to a cheap strip club! I find it similar to any other fast food restaurant open that late. Ok so down to the food: the poutine is my one of my faves, it even made my husband into a believer (in poutine, that is). The burgers are pretty good, and the hot dogs are your standard Montreal-style. You can also get subs (which are good but so bad for you), Greek pitas, club sandwiches, and so on. Stick to the basics and you'll be set. Here's my issue: they can be inconsistent - once there was a gritty potato that made it into my hubby's poutine. It happens when you make fresh cut fries I guess, but they should be more careful. So there you go, get in, get your poutine, and get out - the recipe to success. read more

I went with my dad for a classic lunch of poutine, steamed hotdogs and fries with vinegar and salt. I got a combo of 2 steamies, a poutine and gave one dog to my dad who ordered a dog and a fries. I inhaled it and had to stop myself from eating the entire poutine. Incidentally this place has like 12 kinds of poutine (bacon, smoked meat, mushroom etc). Look,it's La Belle Province. Had a fantastic experience this evening at the La Belle Province Milad. We are from Texas, visiting Montreal. We were driving around town, and the beautiful lights of the restaurant caught our attention like a moth to light. The staff was kind and patient, as we read the menu, to decide our choice of meal. We opted for a smoked foot long, but then our eyes caught a particular dish called Poutine. When we enquired about it, the owner (we assume) insisted we try it, and guaranteed we would like it; it consists of fried potatoes, brown gravy, and cheese curd. We took our credit card to pay, but we were informed that they only accepted cash. We didn't have any cash on hand! The gentleman then told us that the meal would be on the house. Needless to say, we were very grateful; and indeed, the Poutine was delicious! We highly recommend this place, y'all. Two Texans read more

Terrible experience order was given literally six times and they still screwed it up even after writing it down after the 4th time of giving it ask for the food back so they can fix it then they were trying to give us back the same food again and when asked how the first one was prepared they said this is the first one the second one is coming and refuse to answer finally the guy says give me back the rest of the food and he threw the money at us and told us to go to McDonald's their incompetent morons and should not be in business and aside from that it took three guys sticking their fingers in the sandwiches to figure out that it was wrong and then they tried to give us back the same food would never go back again this place should be closed down read more
