This place has cuban and mexican food. We were craving Mexican. We had tacos, burritos and enchiladas. Not super authentic but good. We had a pleasant evening here. It is really hard to get rice and beans in Buenos Aires read more

Rating: 3.2/5 [dine in]…read more Saw great reviews for this spot, so we decided to swing by. Service was great, and they spoke English as well, which was helpful. Unfortunately, the drinks didn't quite live up to the hype compared to other cocktail bars we tried that day. White Jasmine ($11,500 ARS): Heraclito London Dry Gin, Cardamom, Lemon Honey, Jasmine Tea (ABV 18.8%). Better than the 1869. You can pick up the flavors, but the lemon honey aftertaste was a bit too strong. 1869 ($12,500 ARS): Havana 7 Rum, Zuelo Torrontés Vinegar, Dates, Pomegranate (ABV 19.6%). Sweet, but the alcohol flavor overpowered everything else. Also, the foam topping was too heavy.

The ambience is dark with splashes of colors around the bar, and the drinks are eclectic and unique. Great service and appreciated the little candies at the end. 10/10 experience, would definitely come back!

This place is THE SPOT to go to when in Buenos Aires, hands down. From the outside, it appears to be nothing but a nondescript falafel shop, but across from the counter where you order shawarma, there is a woman sitting in a chair and you simply approach her and ask if the bar is open. She lets you in through a secret door, and you're immediately transported to another world and time. It's the best thing ever. By the time we arrived, we'd already had dinner and ice cream for dessert, so we weren't hungry but instead perused the drink menu and found some excellent options. Not only are the decor and drinks on point, but the music really made this an excellent experience. They played everything from Macy Gray to Fleetwood Mac to Tina and even some Michael Jackson. Whatever you do, when I'm BA, you MUST check this place out!

They have a lot of interesting cocktails served in fun glasses (mushroom cup, skulls, etc). The bartender was BUSY!!! There was only one but he slammed them out like a champ! They could've used another bartender, but honestly, he was doing a great job with the volume. I am a bit partial to 1) making my own burgers at home and 2) Burger Joint so I wasn't too sure about Mi Barrio especially since the location has changed over so many times. Finally I tried the hamburger (they charge you separately for the fries but give you a combo price) and it was delish. I am a little against the surplus of options with all of the crazy ingredients, you can go a little overboard and at the end of the day the important part is the meat. I had something with pinneapple and cheese that was flavorful and well prepared. The bread wasn't that great, I like Burger Joint's better. All in all for the price this a good option if you are in the neighborhood, they also do a great 2x1 beer special but I haven't tried their beer so I have no idea, but its probably not bad. The space is nothing special, if you want to go out to eat don't expect any big deal, tables and a bar and a tv, clean and thats about it.

Pricey due to the barrio. I guess if you find yourself nearby its not a terrible option, you could do worse.
