Terrible experience. I got to my followup appointment in Culver CIty and there were 9 people in the waiting room, for a tiny office. I finally get into my room and wait, and wait, and wait. I get that offices run slow, but an hour later I finally walked out. Wost part, was the two doctors working had their office three feet away from my room and they were talking at the top of their lungs with the dorr open so I could hear everything. During the hour i was waiting, they spent more time in that room chatting and laughing about life than they did seeing the patients they were an hour late to see. This office won't respect your time, so don't bother with them. read more

I had the best experience with LA Bone and Joint Institute in Culver City. After first calling to make the appointment, they heard I had broken my ankle and squeezed me in to an appointment with Dr. Andrew Tran on May 7 - (even though they were actually booked until May 18) My Sister took me to the appointment - I have fallen twice with the crutches since the Emergency Room Visit on April 20 where they told me my ankle was broken (x-rays) I don't feel safe with them (I had subsequently also gone to an Urgent Care - and they did some additional x-rays). The office staff at LA Bone and Joint actually came out to the car and helped me in. I didn't have to wait long to see Dr Tran. He was friendly, knowledgeable and took a look at the x-rays from urgent care and let me know I didn't need surgery - he re-splinted my leg, gave me my care plan, including follow up appointments and physical therapy referral and wheelchair referral given I had injured myself in one of the falls from using the crutches... .he was super kind all the way through the process - he really listened. The staff helped make a follow up appointment - and helped me back to the car. I really want to say they went the extra mile all the way. I give them 5 stars for sure! read more

Very unprofessional. I was scheduled for a follow-up appointment at the LA Bone and Joint Institute, which required an X-ray and two MRIs. When I called to schedule the appointment, they promptly scheduled me just days after my MRIs. I kindly requested that they contact Radnet to expedite the report so that our visit wouldn't be a waste of time. However, four days later, I received a call from Radnet informing me that the doctor had decided against expediting the report, and that I didn't have an appointment with them the next day. If a doctor doesn't take you seriously and disrespects you in such a manner, it's best to seek treatment elsewhere. read more

I am a first time patient and arrived at 2:30pm as requested for my 2:45pm appointment. I was seen 1.5 hours later. I had a callus on the side of my toe. The doctor examined it, said it was an easy fix, got a scalpel, and scraped it down. It is better and there is no pain, but it's still there. I asked about orthotics and he said I'd receive an email Rx to get a molded pair. That's is it. We will see if all goes good in the coming weeks. read more

I made the appointment 5 weeks before and I filled out their new patient questionnaire online and emailed it back to them, as requested, to expedite check-in. When I arrived for my appointment, they gave me the same form and wanted me to fill it out again. After a back and forth, I had to help them find the email I sent. Despite all this, I was made to wait almost 2 hours for my appointment. It threw my entire day off. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked an appointment here! The wait time is excruciating (I waited 90 minutes for one visit, 60 minutes for another). Getting a follow-up call or even talking to someone on the phone is difficult and/or impossible. And after all that, I was charged hundreds of dollars (after insurance!) for what was basically a 10-minute conversation with the doctor -- to his credit, Dr Bustos was very nice and the only reason this isn't a one-star review. If your HMO tries to send you here, do yourself a favor and find an alternative. read more

I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Rad, whom I have seen before. When booking, I specifically mentioned that I was already his patient and wanted to see him for a different issue. They scheduled me for an appointment at their Culver City office. Weeks later, I received a voicemail saying my appointment was being rescheduled -- but this time with a different doctor. When I called to clarify, the person who answered the phone failed to understand my request, was extremely rude, and when I asked for his name, he refused to provide it. Instead, he transferred me to an office voicemail that automatically disconnected the call. If I remember correctly, the person who mishandled the scheduling and answered the call was named Sheryl (or something similar). This experience is very disappointing. It's not what you would expect from a practice with such highly regarded physicians, and the unprofessional handling of scheduling and patient communication reflects poorly on the office staff. read more

Absolutely atrocious, joke of an office. THEY DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE, RETURN CALLS, NOR RESPOND TO EMAILS from existing patients. This is a zoo. Plain and simple. They overbook clients and have way too many things to do to be an effective care option. I came in for: nerve pain and sciatica and the female Dr I saw was supposed to schedule a follow-up to test for the nerve pain. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Nothing has been scheduled. No phone calls or followup. I just got off the phone with my primary care and told them they should STOP referring people to LA bone and joint institute. This place is a joke. I leave messages on the officer manager's voice mail once a week and no one returns my phone calls. You will never speak to a live receptionist when you call. I have since tried to make contact via their office email. No response. Seconds after I posted this review, I FINALLY get a call back from their callback center in Centreville, ALABAMA???? wtf. We came in for a consultation regarding a torn meniscus with prior dislocation damage. The initial appointment was prompt and efficient, and the physician discussed two surgical options. He assured us that he would send both treatment plans so we could review them with our insurance and make an informed decision. He also recommended a follow-up visit once the swelling subsided. Unfortunately, that professionalism ended there. A week later, we received a call from a blocked number informing us that surgery had been scheduled--without our consent, without any prior communication, and without the promised documentation. We received no calls, messages, emails, or texts before this. The claim that multiple attempts had been made to reach us was simply untrue. This lack of transparency, disregard for patient involvement, and failure to follow through on basic communication are unacceptable. It felt less like patient care and more like a rushed sales process. We've chosen to take our care elsewhere. read more

I went to the Encino location and I have to agree with all of the terrible reviews here. This office is unprofessional and uncommunicative. They don't pick up the phone, return calls, or call in referrals. It's impossible to get in touch with them for any sort of follow up. I saw Dr. Alayan. She was...fine. Kind of curt, certainly knowledgeable, definitely in a hurry but that's probably not her fault. However, patients do need to know how follow-up care is supposed to work and be able to get in touch with their providers. There's just no excuse for this--patients with Medi-Cal deserve care that is as good as everyone else's. They need to get themselves together. read more

I have attempted 5 times by phone and twice by e mail to set an appointment and can not even get a call back or e mail response. An answering service picks up the calls and says they will forward to the office. I personally went to the address listed during scheduled business hours and the door was locked with no one was around or in site and no notices or information posted. It appears unattended to for some time. I believe not only the BBB should investigate this outfit but the American Medical Association should investigate and suspend licenses for misrepresentation. This is simply unacceptable care and lack of concern resulting in undue medical hardship to people. I have never experienced such lack of care or concern from a group of medical professionals before and I've been around a long time. read more

Dr. was polite and knowledgeable as were the staff, but the wait time is insufferable. I got there at 10 for a 10:30 appointment (as directed) and didn't see the orthopedist until around 12. This made me late for a subsequent commitment. A two-hour wait for a 10-minute consultation seems a poor use of anybody's time. Schedule fewer appointments or spread them out, might be good advice. read more

Recently, I went from a PPO plan to an HMO plan. Friends, HMO plans are terrible, never go HMO if you can. I had to jump through four calls to get an LA Bone and Joint appointment. If you use this clinic, avoid Dr. Ardavan A. Saadat at all costs. My visit with him was atrocious. The man has no personality and looks miserable (like he was serving community service). I did 90% of the talking with him providing little to no investigation or examination. He could only confirm one issue based on my diagnosis and could not help with another until expensive tests were done. On the plus side, the nurse at the clinic was terrific. read more

No one ever answer the phone was waiting 4 months for an authorization to be sent out no one ever responded till I got my health insurance involved . Authorization from my insurance was accepted but they said it will be months till I get my injections because they don't have it supplied . I have HMO I cannot change doctors and go through this process again read more

I always experienced minimal wait times, thanks to well-organized appointment scheduling and efficient workflows. The clinic's commitment to operational excellence ensured that my time was always valued and my needs ar promptly addressed. As for Dr. Didinger who operated on my knee once and shoulder later she was simply awesome. Before the operation she demonstrated exceptional expertise, thoroughly explaining the procedure and addressing all my concerns with care and patience. Post-operation, she was meticulous in her follow-up care, ensuring my recovery progressed smoothly always providing guidance every step of the way. Today I took a dear friend who is turning 90 years old (!) to see Dr. Jeffrey Spychalski at this clinic for shoulder and arm pain. I could not believe how unhelpful, rude and completely apathetic and disinterested this doctor was. From the moment he entered the room, failing to even have the common courtesy of introducing himself, he acted like he'd rather be anywhere but with us. He barely explained anything, and the little information he gave was really only after I asked a bunch of questions, which was like pulling teeth from an unwilling victim. He seemed annoyed that I was asking and his responses were often condescending, like we were supposed to know this stuff already. Zero interest in his patient. No attempt to educate and properly explain a bit of the anatomy, of what is happening inside from x-rays that were taken a few months ago. I get surgeons can be tough but I've had several surgeries and my surgeons always took the time to explain and educate. Why is someone like this even a doctor if you have such a lack of interest and concern for your patients?. Please get into another profession where you don't have to deal with people! I'm giving one star only because it's not possible to give zero. He deserves zero stars for the zero interest he took in his patient. read more
