Solid pasta cooked fresh and made in house. You'll get to order a kinda of pasta and a sauce topping. That will be cooked to order and served in a cylindrical paper container. For the price it's really good food. You can eat inside on the second floor or take it to go. Eating fresher is ideal. There doesn't seem to be air conditioning in the dining area (or it was off when I visited?) but they kept the upstairs window open. You can also buy pasta sauces and packages or pasta on the first floor. Staff speaks English.

I had thought this was a quick eats spot where we would get some of their tortellini to go and eat at the tables on the street but it turns out that they have a full restaurant upstairs. #winning! We chose the variety of tortellini and a small bottle of red wine. About 15 minutes later, two bowls of stuffed pasta arrived with a pot of cheese. This did not need tons of sauce - the little bit of butter was perfect. Tasty and delicious and a nice meal. This is a single course - you're going to need a second. On the downside, there is no knowing which is which (cheese or meat) until you're already eating that one. That's the point of stuffed pasta but that may be a thing for you. Service was good if slow. We were seated in a back dining room and our waitress didn't stop by often enough and we ended up waiting a while to pay our check. [Review 16997 overall - 202 in Italy - 513 of 2022.]

Very rude stuff. Food was mediocre. Very oily. We asked if we can have tortellini with tomato sauce, the answer was no! Only pasta can be with tomato sauce, tortellini only with butter and parmesan cheese, but it has already cheese inside... Then we were asked if we want a drink: yes, what do you have? They replied: What would you like? We asked: iced tea? No! Juice? No! Apparently they offer only water, soda and Prosecco/beer. While waiting for the food outside, sitting on the chairs, the old lady came and told my teenager how to sit proper We were shocked to say the least...

The food took a little while but it is absolutely fresh and delicious, great place to try different fresh pastas without having to sit down and worry about service fees!

La Bottega della Gina was a standout of our week in Verona, and a highlight for vegetarians in a city that doesn't exactly cater to them. The standout menu item for us was the tortelloni. On any given day there were 5-6 vegetarian varieties available. I recommend going at lunchtime and ordering the 8pc mixed bowl (they pick them for you - we got a truffle ravioli in ours!) or asking them to do the pasta tasting menu at dinner and make it vegetarian. The pasta was exceptional. At lunch especially, the simplicity of the delicious tortelloni mixed with butter and parmigiano is just unforgettable. The dinner tasting let us sample their other pastas, like the delectable truffle ravioli, the handmade paccheri, and a melt in your mouth lasagna. The staff couldn't be nicer, their English is excellent, and the whole experience was pure happiness from start to finish. Recommend!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint. They have amazing fresh pasta all displayed to choose from. You can also watch them make pasta in window of their shop. I decided to order the mix of all the ravioli. They cooked it up in oil and garlic and offered fresh parmesan to top it off. They were all delicious. I especially like the truffle and the olive. They have a lot of seating upstairs and out front. I recommend trying this restaurant.

    Yum.

Italy's version of fast food. Absolutely I credible fresh made pastas that you can take and eat on the go.

8 tortellinis, different fillings. Not good.

It was quiet when we arrived at noon and then filled up quite a lot by the time we departed. Clearly, a restaurant for the locals. First course, a big pile of a pasta called "bigolini" which I've not seen before. It is like thick spaghetti with a rough surface. That is needed because the sauce on it was quite thick and another interesting taste - nettles. Definitely different. Second course, risotto made with a red wine reduction. Very flavorful and rich and the pasta was perfectly al dente. We'll definitely need to return to here for dinner! [Review 16980 overall - 185 in Italy - 496 of 2022.]

The restaurant is very cute (free WiFi) and homey feeling with an exposed brick interior and interesting decoration choices throughout the space. If you're so inclined there's also and outdoor patio area. Maybe we just ordered poor menu items but the food was underwhelming and not particularly standout. For our anti pasta course we went with the cured meat trio with polenta. The meats weren't particularly good and combined with the bland polenta it just wasn't a good combo. For our primi pasta course we had the bigoli in a horse (yes horse) bolognese sauce. Of our three dishes this was the best. For our main meat course with did horse cheeks braised in an Amarone wine sauce with polenta. I didn't like the polenta any better on our second dish and the cheek just didn't do it for me. I ended up leaving the bulk of the dish uneaten. All in all-maybe I just ordered poorly but I if I ever make it back to Verona this spot will be a pass for me.

They have a nice garden terrace as well as a lovely dining room inside (with AC!). Started with mixed grilled vegetables and the house cured salmon which came with a bit of salad. They do have some pasta and specials of the day, but we all had pizza, of which there is a rather wide selection to choose from. I had the melanzane which was definitely the most delicious eggplant pizza I've ever had. My husband had the "Trentino" with had wild mushrooms, Emmentaler and speck. And my son had the Capricciosa (mix of various things including prosciutto, olives, artichokes, etc.) I tasted them all and they were all great. House wine: $12.50 for a liter. Awesome deal, very drinkable and went well with the pizza. Service was attentive and efficient. I hope to return while I am staying in Verona.
