It's a typical gift shop but one with hand crafted ceramics. The saucers and cups are glossed with lovely rich shades. I couldn't carry them home in my suitcase but did have space for a magnet. The owner immediately struck up conversation and started us on a tasting spree of his delicious limoncello varieties! Between 'shots' of his homemade limoncello, we sampled some of his fresh jams & preserves as well. So tasty! He was SOO friendly and gave us so many great recommendations, we definitely did not walk out empty-handed! So whilst in town, you must make sure you stop by this adorable little shop that's filled with so many Italian treats! I promise, you won't regret it! :)

Our main purchase was of a local dessert wine Sciacchetra. Unfortunately we didn't quite get this right. It seemed like from his advice the more mass produced types were cheaper, as you might expect. We went for something in the middle, which we enjoyed.....but then the next day we tried the cheaper one somewhere else and our unrefined palettes actually preferred it!

It was our last day and we knew we wanted to visit for the famous Sciacchetra. We got a little meat and cheese platter that came with some bread and jam. Simple but so good! The star was definitely the Sciacchetra- which is a special dessert wine from this region. We ended up taking a bottle home from this as a souvenir! It's usually served with a little biscotti- like cookie. I've looked for this wine in the U.S. and it's hard to find! I definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area.
