Delicious food cozy atmosphere. Friendly service. Great place to escape hotel food and chain type restaurants. Appears to be well known by locals and tourists alike. You have to try the crepes. Crepes did not make it to a photo.

    Huevo's Married NOT divorced lol

I had the Huevo's "Divorciados" but they were together not (Divorced) They were also flavorless and used chopped tomato as the red salsa. no bueno. The potatoes were also bland but the table salsa was good so we smothered it all over. my wife got her food 5 mins before mine so she either lets her food get cold or eats first and waits for me after. SMH She ate first lol

The food here is amazing and at a good price. We've been visiting this city for 5 years around this time and we always eat breakfast here. The service is good. We always get treated well and quick. We love it here!

Chocolate Hotcakes. Actual mexican chocolate in the batter too. Really good.

I get one week in Mexico per year, that's it. Very, very rarely would I ever go to the same restaurant twice. There's just too many wonderful choices. But when I asked the family where they wanted to go for breakfast on the last day, everyone said they wanted La Casa Azul again. A very good mix of traditional Mexican food and standard fare for those picky or non-adventurous eaters (aka my kids). The Chilaquiles were the best we had on this trip. Definitely go for the green chilaquiles. They were creamy and tangy with still nice crispness to the chips. Even my daughter loved them which is damn near impossible. The El Sinaloese was excellent also. A spicy and flavorful beef served with corn tortillas made a great taco. Also served with eggs, those great chilaquiles, and beans. The drinks were awesome. Pick out whichever fruit you like and have them whipped up into a smoothie. Pineapple, orange, apple, strawberry, papaya, mango. It's silly but the chocolate milk was spectacular. Whole milk, Mexican chocolate, and blended with ice. Of course, the huge Bloody Mary and Screwdrivers were also a lovely start to the day. Pancakes, crepes, and waffles were very good. The kids loved the chocolate pancakes. Momma loved the thin, rolled panqueques. On the last day I needed something not too hard on my stomach so the egg sandwich with bacon and cheese was perfect and tasty as hell. Service was absolutely excellent. Our waiters were so attentive, so nice, and spot on with all parts of our orders. One server had spent quite a few years in Minnesota and we discussed all our favorite spots back home. Prices very reasonable, great food, great location with lots of shopping all around, and wonderful service. You can thank me later.

Had a very delicious brunch in this quaint but cute restaurant. I enjoyed a plate of their savory chilaquiles . The meal included a fried egg, side of beans and a small pancake on the side . Their take on the dish was unique, They had more of a creamy texture, not your typical chilaquiles. In addition to the meal I also tried their smoothies which they have various flavors and combinations. Everything was reasonably priced . Two plates and two large smoothies came out to $17 . Lastly the waiter and staff is amazing . Ramon speaks perfect self taught English and is really attentive and friendly ! If you get lucky enough to get him as your waiter he certainly adds to your experience, i highly recommend him and la casa azul .

We were trying to walk to Starbucks when we came across this place. Roman greeted us with a smile and was able to show us the menu. We were quickly intrigued. When we walked in, there was A/C (A MUST!) and we were sat down right away. We were the only ones here and it's about 9 AM. I ordered a smoothie which was delicious and I was told that the fruit was fresh and my dad also ordered a green juice which is also fresh! did I mention my dad was vegan? They were able to accommodate his dietary restrictions! I definitely recommend this place. it's about a two minute walk from the beach as well.

My latte was perfect, the chorizo hash was good, my husband said his eggs Benedict was the best he's had, and the carrot cake was great. Our server was very pleasant and fluent in English. The desserts and pastries on display all looked amazing! I wish we would have found this place earlier in the trip so we could try more of them! We had tried to find it a couple of days prior, but it wasn't where Google mapped us. We later found it five blocks or so down the road. Just look for the address.

She seemed very experienced with the area and recommended that we go into Allegro for coffee/cakes, etc. We took her words for it. Great idea. Allegro didn't look highly decorated or fancy from the outside, but when you walk into the dark cafe room, it's actually more spacious than it appears. Plenty of available tables & chairs! Staff was friendly and they understand & speak English. Very great customer service at the counter. Good coffee & latte. We tried the carrot cake and banana cream pie. Very portions and delicious. Yes, this dark interior place with nothing fancy outside turned out to be a very relaxing stop with very clean restrooms. They had pretty much everything you would find at a local cafe. It reminded me of a mini Starbucks type place, but this one is better and more quiet. Low foot traffic. Plenty to choose from! They do serve main dishes: breakfast/lunch, etc. We will likely come back again in the future. Absolutely tourism friendly with great staffs working at the front counter.
