The food was very tasty for the most part. We got tacos, burritos, tamales, enchiladas, rice, and beans. All of that was terrific. The sopapillas were too hard and not as delicious as we hoped. The staff were not rude but also not friendly. We got takeout that we ordered by phone, and we had an overall pleasant experience. Originally given a star review because the food is always great but today had quite a bit of disappointment as I called right before closing, not realizing that they were closing, spoke with someone who then put me on hold and I waited for 5 minutes at which time I hung up because they never got back to me. Drove up to the restaurant got out and went in and the lady who answers the phones told me that they were closed and that she couldn't get back to me because I hung up. Facts are they were not that busy and the little girl just didn't want to take another order All I wanted was a small serving so needless to say I will not be patronizing for a little while since this is how they choose to do business. read more

What do you say about an Alabama themed Mexican restaurant and bar, roll tide. Being in brookwood there aren't a lot of places to eat so this place is a welcome change up to the barbecue in the area. They are generally busy for lunch but always have enough room to seat you. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. They have a special lunch menu but you can also order dinner portions. The service is friendly and food comes out hot and in reasonable time. It won't blow your mind but it is a solid option. I recommend the quesadillas they are quite flavorful and the portion size will ensure you don't get hunger pains at 3.30. I won't hesitate to come back for more. Till next time read more

Excellent and I live near by too..I don't know why another local gave it 1 star unless they own or know the other restaurant they are referring to?? Or they have the "better than thou" syndrome. Note on Google they have 50 reviews totaling 5 out of 5 stars! Why drive 11 miles or more for food that is about the same but for more money just because a building is newer? La Casa Crimson are very reasonably priced, they are nice, I do not own, work or am I affiliated with La Casa Crimson and I do believe in supporting your local businesses especially if they are good in which this restaurant is great. It is casual to business casual but you feel comfortable going in with whatever you are wearing. They have a nice cozy fireplace. Every dish I have tried is very good.. only recommendation is with fajitas you need to ask for guacamole and I'd love if in the chicken quesadilla the put grilled onions inside with it chicken when cooked but I love onions... read more

O.k. folks, here's the deal...this place is close to my house and the food is pretty good. The PROBLEM is, they are VERY proud of their food $$$. I recently ordered the chicken fingers w/rice, cheese sauce, & guacamole (the chips and salsa are free, supposedly) and my bill was +$17. Then the girl up front made me feel guilty about leaving a tip! Really!!! Tip for what??? You just raped me for $20 and you want me to give you more money for walking to the kitchen and bringing my food to the front? This is why your parking lot is empty most of the time, people are tired of paying this much for poor service and mediocre food when it's just as easy to drive a few miles down the road to Jalepenos or Chabelleys and pay half the price for better food. Get it together folks, seriously...you could own Brookwood, Vance, and surrounding areas if you dropped your prices and improved your customer service (IMO). And just being honest, people don't want Mexican food every day (only on the weekdays) at 11 a.m. If you want to make money, open your doors on the weekends and extend your hours.
