I visited 2/26/26. Ordered Steak Fajitas. Tortillas heated too long, were hard, requested a 2nd order, they too were heated too long and hard. Bday party going on there, waiter came from behind me with a noisemaker that sounded like a gun going off. A jump scare is not what I want when dining out. We finished our meal, paid, left and never complained. Before we could get out of the parking lot I became violently ill. Vomiting and diarrhea. I spoke with manager next morning. He says they don't use noisemakers and when I asked him to look at cameras he refused and said he was there and no noisemakers were used. Guess I'm a liar now. He also says he takes no responsibility for me being sick with food poisoning. Don't go here! read more

The service was a bit slow, but it was also busy and a bit loud from several large groups, on the other hand, our server was pretty knowledgeable of the menu and we always had our drinks full! The queso blanco had a smooth texture, not too thick. The chips were good, crispy and light. I order the queso fundido with steak. The beef was cut small but was tender and full of flavor. Got the chicken burrito plate and the rice was really dry as well as the chicken. Straight up just wasn't good at all. Asked to substitute the order and the waiter straight up said no. Pretty solid restaurant. The interior is nice and big, and it definitely feels like more of a chain restaurant rather than your local mexican place, which may be a plus if you like that vibe. Our server was super nice and very attentive. As far as the food goes, very standard americanized mexican fare. The cheese dip was better than average, and i was told the chimichanga was good. My chicken quesadillas were good, especially dipped in queso, but the shredded chicken inside had almost no seasoning. With that being said, the $30 check for dinner for two can't be beat. read more

I visited this establishment on 03/08/24 with a large party as it was my sisters birthday we were seated outside which was fine I ordered the fajita meal with the steak shrimp and chicken the food came out and it was horrible!! the shrimp was undercooked and had a tomatoey taste while. The chicken and steak had no flavor at all i couldnt stomach it took one bite couldn eat it I waited 45-60 mins for a waiter to come back by which time everyone else completed their plates I had no time to send it to be remade or ask for something else because our waiter never returned we had to go inside to find them to pay.. once the waiter came I asked for a manager in which Im sure I got. Just a regular employee as someone in their teens who informed me they couldn't send it back to fix or to refund it as I had not eating any of it. I asked if he was the manager he replied well kind of the manager had to run off. Smh I was told by these employees the owner was cheap and doesn't fix mistakes or take food off of orders which is absurd I will not go to this etablishment again nore will I recommend anyone else to visit it read more

First off, I do want to say the food is delicious! No doubt about it, and I'd probably even go back to see if maybe this time was a fluke. Unfortunately the service wasn't great. In their defense, it was very busy. These are the following issues we ran into: - Seated quickly but took at least 20 minutes before our server came to the table after our initial drink order. - Waited 30+ minutes for our food before asking another server what's going on. She found out the ticket was messed up. After it was corrected, we probably waited another 5-10 minutes for our food. - When the food came out, we were missing our utensils, and I was missing my second plate (fajitas are served on two plates). I was about to nibble on the chicken, when my husband (who snuck some) said it was cold. I sent it back and when my second plate came out, I had to wait another 5 or so minutes for my chicken/veggies. Side note; the ambiance was fine, but I hated being right next to the bathrooms and kitchen. It was a weird break from the rest of the restaurant. Maybe if we were seated somewhere else it would've been fine. Again, I think that we came in on a bad night, but it was still frustrating. Hopefully next time we visit Tuscaloosa we can eat here again on a calmer night. read more

This was my first trip to Los Tarascos in a while and the first at their new location on Skyland. We came in a large group for a Friday dinner and it was full, but was surprised to get seated immediately for such a large group. We got our chips really fast, but it seemed to take quite a while for them to come take our orders and they really didn't check on us. I really needed a water refill to during the meal. I ordered the enchiladas verdes. It was a very nice portion. The food was good, but the chicken on the enchiladas really had no flavor and so I had to add a lot of hot sauce to it. I would probably try ordering something else the next time I eat here. read more

Let me start by saying I had great service. Chips were fresh and crisp, and the salsa was good... But not as spicy as I would've liked. I had the burrito and upgraded to steak. Really liked the rice and beans. Very fresh, and rice was not dried out at all. Nice flavor. Not a fan at all of the watery and somewhat flavorless sauce they put on top of the burrito. It was covered by cheese, but the sauce did nothing to the dish. Easily remedied by pouring salsa on top of it, but since as I previously said, the salsa is rather bland, it was not a huge improvement. Overall, I would eat there again. Might even consider getting a burrito with a different sauce on top. read more

Was craving Mexican food while driving thru this town on the interstate and got off and found this place and I'm glad we did. The best salsa I've tasted in years. The salsa has some heat and that's how I like it. The chips & salsa were complimentary and yummy. The taco's here are fantastic and the guacamole is superb. We had great service and the place was super clean and Mexican themed in its furnishings and decor. This place was so good I wish it was in my hometown. Me and my bf are regulars here! The food is the best out of all the Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa. The service is by the best as well! This visit we had a server named Albert, and he was sooooo attentive to our needs! Not once did our drinks get too low, and he had great suggestions and knew the menu in and out! Now I usually just get a Chimichanga cause you can't go wrong with it, but this time we got the fajitas for two. Now the flavors are great, but the tortillas a bit soggy. The meats were a bit dry. But such a large portion to keep moisturized. The presentation as you saw was fantastic as well. However I'll stick to my chimichanga from now on. . But overall. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and it was straight ketchup in glass with a few onions- when i ask the manager to please bring some salsa or something he was RuDE and told us the menu said it was 6 squirts of ketchup! I got the menu and i did not say ketchup it said cocktail sauce ( which we all know has horseradish sauce with ketchup) he told me he made his with ketchup only- so i proceeded to ask how can it be cocktail sauce if it's ketchup only! That's ketchup!! I told him it was not edible because it was drowned in ketchup! He proceed to say oh well! Write a review - i don't care! Absolutely the worst excuse for manager i have ever encountered! All i ask was to bring cocktail sauce or salsa to go with the shrimp to drown out the ketchup! Brilliant. This is our favorite place to go. Why you ask?! BECAUSE THEY NEVER DISAPPOINT! Never a bad meal. Never bad service! And great prices! They also do special orders! I get #89 no onion.
