A truly unique Italian, old world style cafe' shop. Unsurpassed espresso and other drinks, from April to October they also serve various flavors of the finest gelato. My mother passed away 3 years ago and the last 4 months of her life, she survived on the hazelnut flavored. During Christmas and Easter holidays you may find some great imported panettone, other sweets and beautiful gift baskets. This is the type of Cafe' that the Starbucks of the world wish they could be. Service is fast, courteous, attentive and after served, you can relax and savor your drinks and sweets at one of the tables. Last year they had tables and service in a garden setting in the back of the establishment, with an occasional musical event. Love the place and I stop by as often as possible.

A neighborhood cafe that serves quality espresso with Italian charm minus the stuffiness of artisanal coffee shops. This is truly a social meeting ground for locals to have coffee together and catch up. No laptops will be seen here. My only regret is that it's not located closer to the medical school campus so that I can come here more often and more people can have the experience. Anna's skills in making espresso has been featured in the New York Times. You'll understand why once you give her wonderfully crafted espresso drinks a try. The prices are as good as it gets. $3 for a fantastic cappuccino, ~$2 for croissants baked on site. My boyfriend says they have the best cappuccino outside of Italy that he has tasted.

This is by far my favorite coffee shop! The owners are sweet and personable. The coffee is fantastic. And the ambiance makes you feel like your in Italy. In the morning Ana ( the store owner) makes delicious croissants. Make sure you get there before they're all gone. She makes cream and chocolate mostly. Cream is my favorite. You will find cappuccinos, espresso, macchiatos, and hot chocolate on a daily basis. When the weather gets warm you will find iced espresso and crema de cafe, (my favorite!), both are perfect refreshing summer options. In the winter this is a perfect place to get authentic coffee to warm you up and keep you going where you can either run in for a quick on the go beverage, or stay and chat. During the Summer this is a perfect place to grab a refreshing drink, chat inside or sit outside amongst the locals who are devoted and in love with La Casa del Cafe. For those who stay away from caffeine, you will find a stocked fridge with a lovely assortment of Italian nectar's , juices, sodas, and waters. Oh let me not forget, wine. So come see what the locals rant and rave about. You won't regret it!

Great coffee for reasonable prices. I ordered a cappuccino and it was $3 for a decent size. I noticed that a lot of people order the cappuccino topped with cinnamon, which I forgot to do. Either way, the cappuccino was good. Other than that, I felt a little uncomfortable in the shop. I felt like a lot of people in there, including the owner, were staring at me up and down. Not sure why but I felt out of place. I would go back for the coffee but probably order it to go.

Trying to find coffee in my neck of the woods, that meets the standards of my coffee snob friend Geoff G? Near impossible. A Yelp mobile search led us to La Casa del Caffe. It's in the Morris Park neighborhood. Heavily Italian, as evidenced buy the green, white and red painted parking meters. There were some old guys sitting out front in plastic chairs, not drinking coffee btw. Is that what retired guys do? Park their seats in front of businesses they like? The owner served us. She spoke Italian accented English, and was watching an Italian game show. I started watching the game show too. I took some guesses. Got some right. Those game shows draw ya in. Anyway. She was pleasant, told us to sit after we ordered my cappuccino, and his espresso. They don't serve regular coffee. My cappuccino was good. No sugar needed. His espresso was "pretty good, it's ok". Snob. They have gelato, but there were no flavor labels, so I passed. As the 3 stars suggest, this place is A-OK. Not going out of my way though.

Very, very lovely cafe. The cappuccinos are amazing, the freshly-baked croissants available in the mornings are simply to die for, and they have a great selection of gelatos and drinks in their fridge. I stopped by practically every day for the year I spent working nearby in the neighborhood. I highly recommend it, not only for the food and coffee, but for the lovely atmosphere and Anna, the friendly barista/owner who never fails to greet the customers and make them feel right at home. read more

What a cool place to go! The inside of this store is small, but when you walk in there's some tables as you approach the bar. The woman working was so friendly! A nice italian woman who worked with a smile. I had an espresso and after a granita. Both were delicious. The espresso was probably the best I ever had. The place was actually a little quiet for a few minutes so the owner came and sat with my friend and I and chatted. It was a very pleasant experience! It's not close to me, but I hope to come by again sometime for sure! Ciao! read more

I'm not a big coffee drinker but this place is AMAZING!. The best cappuccino I have ever had. The croissant was flakey,soft on the inside and the filling was heaven. My fat ass ate two of them lol. My bf swears by their espresso. I enjoyed everything so much I found myself asking my bf the next day for it again lol. They have turned me into a caffeine lover. But now I'm spoiled cause I only want to have theirs lol. Luckily the bf lives walking distance so it's fantastically close. I think I'm stopping by for some later today lol. An absolutely lovely little spot. The lady behind the counter is a classic Italian gem. The chocolate croissant is delicious and fluffy and flaky. My friend had a cappuccino with cocoa powder and said it was delightful. The prices are also very reasonable for what you're getting. read more

I love this place!! I live in Brooklyn and my sister is in the Bronx and every time I visit I try to get an esspresso here. I am a coffee fanatic and this place not only does great espresso it also has a great vibe, you feel like you're visiting Italy! The last time I went there was a soccer game and people were watching, sitting outside, the barista was so warm and friendly, I wished I could stay and catch some of the game. read more

I stopped in for a cup of coffee. The owner is a sweet lady from italy named Anna who is very friendly and wants everyone to enjoy the visit. All the patrons were sitting enjoying talking to each other and Anna. I left with a cappuccino and a smile on my face. If I lived near by I would never go to anywhere like Starbucks. They don't have regular brewed coffee which I am ok with because everything else is so great. read more

Best Espresso and Cappuccinos around! You would have to be in Naples to get coffee that would compare. They make each cup with pride using a killer machine and quality coffee. Super friendly and comfortable for a quick cup and dessert. read more

I have been living in Italy for quite a while so if I tell you this place is a typical Italian place - you can trust me. Good coffee and croissant, full of Italians (so it really means it is a really good place - italians are so picky about food and coffee). It is nice, I liked it and you really feel like being in Italy. For sure coffee is not cheap but it is a quality you have to pay for. Enjoy! read more

I must say that I am a regular here, visiting multiple times during the week. The best day to come is Sunday's, as this is when it is filled with the other regulars who talk soccer, share jokes and contribute to a lively atmosphere. Anna, the proprietor and her family are all very sweet and welcoming. The cappuccino is second to none, with the espresso being a top notch pick-me-up during any morning and late afternoon. If you don't get your coffee here now, start ASAP. read more

This place is as good as it gets. Had the best Latte ever in this location as I went to pick up some Gelato for my Fiance who's wisdom teeth were pulled. I will admit one thing, their coffee is good. However it was the rude service that made me not like this place at all. I wanted to try this place out because of the rave reviews. I went in with some people and the old guy at the register yelled at me when I ordered. I was so shocked that I didn't know how to react. My brother told me he had also had a bad experience on a different occasion. I saw other people post reviews of the rude service so it is very true. I'm from Italy and they are from Italy. The espresso is REAL and really good. The lady at the counter was really friendly and my gf and I ended up spending a half hour in there chatting with her. If you want to experience real Italian coffee definitely check out this place. read more

The menu has options for coffee and tea lovers alike. My go to order has been Iced Matcha. It's high quality Matcha and mixed well. They do serve it unsweetened but they have simple syrup and sugar at a stand by the door if you want to add it yourself. I have also tried the seasonal coffee flavors; all were hits. The pastries are freshly baked and they sell some artisanal snacks too. My favorites pastries are the almond croissant and cheese danish but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. There has not been a time I've come by and received poor customer service. The staff is genuinely kind. If you're in the neighborhood or just want to pop by this quaint cafe, I'd highly recommend it. P.S. They have a few tables outside when the weather is warmer.

The small raviolis just can't swim in my pot! The older gentleman behind the counter asks if he can help me. I ask him to open the box and actually show me the larger ravioli. Oh baby, they are large and in charge. Why I walked out with one box still boggles my mind because I should have bought 3. I'm not in the area too often and the extra boxes would have carried me through the winter. I hand over my cash and the gentleman says God Bless to me. I'm not getting blessings on Long Island! I had a bad case of coffeephobia for many years I am not sure why. Maybe I had a traumatic experience with a burned bean in my childhood. I only started drinking coffee as an adult, but I got burned out on Starbucks so I went local and guess what? I love this place! Delicious pizza that I would give a 9. A large can feed a family of 4 easily. Very tasty withs tons of cheese and toppings. But it was very service and the restaurant was only half full. Took forever for the waiter to come take our drink order and a long time to get our pizza. So I give the service about a 3 for an overall rating average. read more
