Gonzalez at the front desk, who is absolutely wonderful, went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for during a stressful and unexpected situation. She took the time to learn that it was my birthday week, and without us expecting anything at all, she surprised me with a thoughtful little gift left in our room. That level of care truly touched our hearts. To make it even more special, the owner, Sandra Caro, graciously sent a bottle of champagne on behalf of the hotel and staff to celebrate my birthday. This incredibly kind gesture speaks volumes about her leadership and the culture of warmth and generosity she has created at Villa Cofresi. The villa itself is immaculate--spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located. My bf ordered the lobster mofongo in some kind of soup and I got red snapper in a plantain crust. Then again we waited and waited.
