Probably the best high end restaurant in Rincon, PR. Great for couples trying to escape the crowded restaurants downtown. The menu changes often and the food is amazing fresh and locally sourced. The staff is great, friendly and will make recommendations based on your tastes. Must make a reservation in advance as all tables were booked the night we dined at Estela. Thanks to our servers Anthony and Anjelica.

one of the best food experiences we have had in PR. We came in with a reservation and we seated, ordered drinks and promptly got them. The drinks were good as well as the appetizers (we got octopus and ceviche). All our entrees were good as well and unlike many tourist restaurants, the dishes were all at least somewhat authentic. Throughout, the servers were incredible and it felt cozy inside. If you want upscale finding in W PR, come here!!

We were visiting Rincon for the first time and read that Estela was a good date night spot, and we'd agree! They have indoor and outdoor seating and our server Carlos was amazing! Very attentive and knew the menu well. The menu was small but intentional and we enjoyed all of our food, especially the key lime creme brûlée. The inside and outside of the restaurant left something to be desired in terms of decor and ambiance - it was very plain for a menu that was rather upscale.

The location did not match the prices but the service and the drinks were the best we encountered during our trip. Chef apparently does not allow any substitutions which also was a bummer. But the drinks and the warmth of the staff (Kamila) were so amazing that We returned a second time to just get drinks!

I was in PR for a work trip and our work colleagues told us about Estela. Granted, I've been in PR before and didn't really have any high standards. Estela is TOTALLY different from every other restaurant we've tried. We got in and out in 1 hour - which is practically a MIRACLE!!! Every other restaurant we've had dinner at takes about 3 hours to dine. But Estela? Efficient and GREAT service. Our servers kept checking up on us, asking if we needed anything else and were super quick to get anything we needed. Drinks + food came out fast and the timing of the meal was on point. Really loved my drink and we ordered some apps that were great. I did find my pork belly to be a bit on the salty side, but it was perfectly crispy and well cooked. Dessert wasn't as amazing as the food, but that's okay. This place would def. deserve a michelin star if they gave them in PR. The fast service alone makes this place a no brainer whenever I'm back in this area.

I wish I had better things to say about Estela. I'm still debating between 3 & 4 stars as I write this. PROS: -Love the farm to table concept, and rotating menus monthly. Freshest ingredients. -Full vegan menu option as well. -Elegantly prepared plates. -Decent cocktail menu. Full bar. 6/10. -Cute exterior. -Dessert was pleasant. Still too small. -Waiters are kind. CONS: -In order to feel full, you MUST order all 3 courses. Portions are TINY. -$40 for 3 scallops. 3 SCALLOPS. It wasn't even disclosed on the menu how many it comes with. -Indoor seating is VERY limited. You almost have to eat outside. -$47 for an average steak. Ours was ordered Medium. Came out more rare. -For a party of two to feel comfortably full, expect ~$200 bill. -The restaurant is cute, but does not match the prices or food. Not upscale enough for what they're charging. The bathrooms weren't even that nice.

Key lime pie with graham crust and creme-brule burnt sugar topping.

So we were staying in Rincon, and we wanted key lime pie. So I typed 'key lime pie' into yelp and Estela came up. So off we went. We didn't have a reservation, but since all we wanted was one drink and pie they let us slip in for that before the people who reserved the table would arrive. I am definitely a key lime pie officioanada - I've had key lime pie in so many countries and states - and this was probably hands-down the best key lime pie I ever had. It had a cheese-cake style graham crust, the key lime pie filling/canter, and then a creme-brule burned sugar topping. My boyfriend doesn't really like desert - and he couldn't stop eating this one. And we got tasty, fancy cocktails too. The me u looked amazing. We looked at it while eating the pie and kinda wished we'd gotten dinner at Estela instead - but at least we got the amazing pie.

From beginning to end, this was truly a divine experience. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambiance. The waiter was wonderful, providing impeccable service throughout the evening. The food was nothing short of exquisite--each dish bursting with flavor and creativity. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked, and the hummus was incredibly unique. The rum old fashioned was a delicious cocktail that complemented the meal beautifully. To top it all off, the chef came out to personally explain my outstanding dessert, making the evening feel even more special. This wasn't just a dinner; it was an unforgettable experience.

Great dinner spot with exceptional service. We enjoyed the Ceviche and fried Brussels for our appetizers. We also had the foie Gras and carrots. Key Lime creme brulee for dessert!

Every part of the meal at Estela was impeccable. Estela is the best restaurant we tried Puerto Rico by far. Each bite was an adventure, every element was perfectly balanced between sweet, savory, salty, rich and fresh. I highly recommend the meat loaf if it is available; the duck was divine as well. The desserts were adventurous and mind blowing -- tobacco ice with cream! I've never had anything like it. The one area of improvement would be service -- for such a fine dining establishment, there was a bit of finesse lacking in the service. But it overall didn't detract from the meal.

Just amazing. Super accommodating and so nice!! Our server was amazing, so attentive. The drinks were perfect and the food is great. I don't agree that the portions are small and don't fill you up! The portions are perfect sized. The staff is friendly and timely. Perfect place for a group or a date.

    Beautiful building

During our trip to Puerto Rico, we ate at this little, classy hideaway in Rincón. We drove through some heavy foliage which was beautiful, and ended up at this ultra cool spot. It's a tiny restaurant with gorgeous mosaic tiles on the building and inside a wave of blue tile and wooden tables remind my of the sky and sand. A festive bar swelled in the corner serving up delicious cocktails and wine. The ambiance was sultry and romantic, even with the metal chairs...and the scent of garlic and ginger hung in the air. The red wine we ordered was superb and went well with our dishes... we had the lamb croquettes for appetizers, the arugula salad, the spaghetti carbonara and the pork tenderloin...the croquettes were mild and crispy; the salad was highlighted with fried goat cheese, walnuts and beet vinaigrette; the pasta was laced with the most delicious pancetta; and the meat was tender and herbilicious! The service was beyond attentive and polite and the server helped us choose our perfect meal! If you get a chance to visit, don't miss it!

We are in Rincón, Puerto Rico for vacation. We heard the estela was "must try" while in town. And we are thrilled we were able to have the experience! Everything from their perfectly crafted cocktails, delicious entrees, and beautiful artwork for dessert was so memorable!! We will definitely be back when we visit again! Thank you so creating such an experience!!

They are tucked away down a side street off the main square, in a small corner spot that glows purple from the moody lighting inside. We didn't have a reservation, but there were open seats at the bar on a rainy Thursday, so we were able to sit right down. For two people, we shared four dishes, which was slightly more than we could handle in one sitting, but we were glad to have something to take home. The hushpuppies are a larger portion than we expected but a solid start. They are coated in honey for a touch of sweetness. The tuna crudo is a dish I would not skip if I was visiting because you can't get fish this fresh anywhere. It comes sliced very thin, topped with jalapeno, and swimming in a citrusy sauce. It was not overly spicy, just a small kick that worked perfectly. Dish three is where things really started getting more interesting. The brocollini is one of the best versions we have ever had. It has a nice basil-y sauce and thin pieces of fried garlic, and these flavors worked so well together. They really make veggies sexy. The standout of the meal, though, is the shrimp al ajillo. The employee who brought it seemed so excited just to be delivering it, no doubt he has had it himself and knew he was delivering joyous memories. The garlic flavor was unbelievable. Even the side bread, soaked in that garlic oil, was spectacular. The cocktails are well mixed, too. Their vieux carre features rum, an interesting twist on a classic, and it is very good if you are into old fashioned type drinks. Rum forward, potent, but sippable. For round two, I tried pasiflora. The description sounded quite tart and fruity, with rum, ginger, passionfruit, and vanilla, but it was so smooth, with a velvety texture, and a side shot of prosecco you could sip separately or pour right in. A fun experience not to be missed. Before our dishes started coming, they even provided a small dish of fried chickpeas to snack on with our drinks. I love that. Bonus points because we stumbled in on another day, which was a day they were supposed to be closed, to find they are a "margs and tequila shots only" pop up going on, with a great DJ and fun crowd.

The food was absolutely incredible, without a doubt the most flavorful meal we had all week, and honestly one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. Order the chicken... WOW! Every bite was packed with amazing flavor. The service was truly exceptional. One of our servers, Allen, was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He took the time to talk with us & he didn't seem rushed. The teamwork among the staff was amazing to watch. There was a gentleman constantly walking through the dining room clearing plates the moment we were finished, keeping everything spotless without ever interrupting our meal. Everyone worked together so seamlessly, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they do. While we waited for our food--which actually came out super fast for PR--our daughters loved spending time down by the beach area. It was the perfect way to keep them entertained while we relaxed. And the view... photos simply don't do it justice. We had no idea just how breathtaking the setting and ambiance would be until we experienced it in person. When the Churrasco Mofongo ($27.99) finally came out, the portion size was surprisingly small and did not reflect the price at all. For nearly $28, I expected a much more substantial serving and better overall value. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I also ordered four pastelitos at $2.99 each, and those ended up providing more food and better value than the $27.99 Churrasco Mofongo. It's hard to justify paying nearly $28 for an entrée when a few appetizers totaling less than half the price leave you feeling like you received more for your money. To make matters worse, the staff was largely inattentive throughout the visit. It was difficult to get anyone's attention, there were no updates regarding the long wait, and customer service felt like an afterthought, only because the question "Can I have an update on my order" was asked to the staff. A 44-minute wait can be understandable during busy times, but keeping customers informed goes a long way, especially when multiple families sat, ate, and left before receiving the order. Overall, despite the churrasco mofongo tasting really good, between the excessive wait time, the lack of attentiveness from staff, and the disappointing portion size, I left feeling that the meal was not worth the price. I hope management takes a closer look at both the service and the value being provided to customers.
