We really enjoyed our night here. I took pics of most of the food. It's different than what we are used to, but we understand that only stuff from the US can be imported here. We will be back (but I'm sneaking in some jalapeños or at least Tabasco sauce with me next time - gotta add a little heat :). The service was great and the servers all worked together to help out. I loved the decorations. They reminded me of being in Mexico. Pro tip: ask about ingredients (esp if you aren't from PR) cuz it's different than what you might expect if you're from the Southwest. We will become regulars here I'm sure! Also, I will probably up their rating once we try other Mexican restaurants here We shall see! ‍

Tons of food for a really good price. We got, tacos. Burrito, guacamole, chips, 2 desserts, a beer and a margarita for $45. The tacos were okay, I wouldn't get then again. Everything else was impeccable. The churros were amazing, and so was the guac and burrito. The service was really good as well.

Its a great and comfortable place! People is very friendly!

Tired of the regular tex-mex, I decided to adventure at this new mexican restaurant I saw in the news. The parking is not too big but we came by Sunday and there are lots of spaces for closed businesses. They welcome you with a smile as soon as you come through the door. We chose our own seats and placed our orders. Chips and salsa are served immediately, on the house. We had Caldo Tlalpeño, Chimichanga and Churros DF with cajeta and icecream. The soup was awesome, flavorful and well seasoned with fresh ingredients. I was happy when I saw onions, shredded chicken, avocado and cilantro, all fresh. Then we had the maincourse... I love the queso fundido and have it everytime I visit Mexico. Dessert was a dream come true! Hot and cold, sweet and tender! Loved the Churros! I was pleasantly surprised that the hype of this place stood to the test! It does taste of Mexico, so I am planning on coming back soon!

Our visit here lasted less than 1 min. Right after sitting down, my wife detected a 1 in insect on the wall next to her.....

We really enjoyed our experience the first time we were here so we brought a friend back with us, especially to try the churros.

The server was accommodating and got us a seat for our party of 4 very quickly. I believe it was a one man show that night and he was running between all the tables, but was very efficient and had a great attitude which made any waiting we might've had to do worth while. The inside was clean and had a good vibe with nice music playing. Our table shared as an appetizer the green chile ceviche, which was very good and could itself be enough for a main meal for two people. My wife got the quesa-birria tacos and I got the governor shrimp tacos. All were great meal choices, the tacos were stuffed with meat and very filling. A great spot for people looking for some tasty Mexican food in San Juan.

Great food! Recommend the shrimp tostadas. The order of beans was also good, reminded me of my childhood meals lol. Space is tight, but you'll get seated quickly as the staff are pretty attentive. Prices are pretty reasonable and the portions are fair.

This is a very popular place so I recommend calling to make a reservation, especially if you plan on coming with a large group. They have one large table inside. Other than that it's 2-4 person tables (indoor and outdoor) and the counter at the bar. The tables can obviously be placed together for bigger groups. Still, make a reservation. The interior decor seems to be all over the place, but it works, creating a cool hip vibe. We started out with the queso fundido and tuna creo rolls. Both were good. I'd reorder them. I would like to note that they don't automatically serve you chips and salsa. Older reviews mention they are complimentary but newer reviews state that is no longer the case. You have to ask for them and they'll charge you. We didn't ask for them because the queso fundido comes with chips. For the main course, I had the chimichanga. I saw a photo one one with melted cheese over it (gratinado). The one I received had a creamy cilantro based sauce. It was delicious, and with crema on the side... wow. I will definitely get this again. My mom had the encebollado tacos. She could only eat two of the three that came with the order. I ate it the next day. Yum. The only disappointment were the churros. They weren't bad, just average. And after a great meal, average didn't cut it.
