We were craving Mexican food in Puerto Rico and found this place, the inside is a decent size. They were quick to seat our party of 5 as well, we ordered our drinks which did take a minute but our server was also the bartender for the restaurant. The vibe inside the restaurant is cute, they have a lot of historical pictures and stuff. The food was mid, me and boyfriend got the box of Al pastor tacos and the meat was pretty dry and unseasoned. Our friends birria ramen was really good tho! We all tried it and decided his food was the best. I also ordered a parcha margarita which was also good! Our server was very kind, she was a tall young woman! I would recommend trying this place at least once :) read more

I really love the Margaritas, specially the aguachile one if you like spicy drinks. If you don't like spicy they have about 6 others to choose from. My favorite appetizer is the guacamole with pork belly and instead of corn chips, pork cracklings. It's so delicious! I also like the tostadas they make specially the shrimp one with some sort of aioli. It's light and delicious. read more

Well I worked in Mexico for a few years. But had given up on finding real Mexican food. Not Burritos but Cochinita Pibil, Carnitas Bravas and authentic side dishes. I otdered the Carnitas, WOW. Real Mexican Adobo with fall apart Pork. I needed extra Tortillas. A Jarritos de tamarindo to close out Lunch. I no longer have to get on a plane, just drive over to la revolucion. Fue mi primera y sera mi ultima vez comiendo en el restaurante. Comida cara y pesimo servicio. Se tardaron demasiado en entregar dos platillos, enfrijoladas y birria ramen. Se equivocaron no solo una vez pero dos veces en mi comida, las enfrijoladas, despues de explicarle claramente al muchacho que no queria queso y ni crema, nada de lacteos en la comida. En ningun momento vinieron los empleados a preguntar si estabamos bien o si necesitabamos alguna otra cosa desde que pedimos. Estuvimos en el restaurante dos horas y la gran mayoria del tiempo estuvimos esperando la comida. De milagro le salio todo bien a mi pareja y pudimos comer de su platillo, pero el mio me lo tuve que llevar a casa. Una persona se disculpo a mi pareja, no a mi la persona afectada, y nos dieron un GRAN descuento de $5 en el total de $65 por dos aguas de jamaica, un aperativo, y dos platillos para solo dos personas. Sinceramente no regresaria. It was my first and will be my last time eating at the restaurant. Overpriced food and terrible service. They took too long to deliver two dishes, enfrijoladas and birria ramen. They made a mistake not just once but twice with my food, the enfrijoladas, after I clearly explained to the guy that I didn't want cheese, cream, or dairy in my food. At no point did the employees come over to ask if we were okay or if we needed anything else after we ordered. We were at the restaurant for two hours, and most of the time we were waiting for our food. Miraculously, everything went well for my partner, and we were able to eat his dish, but I had to take mine home. Someone apologized to my partner, not me, and they gave us a HUGE $5 discount off the total, $65 for two hibiscus waters, an appetizer, and two dishes for only two people. My favorite Mexican restaurant in PR is Callejeros. I've had their food multiple times, for dine-in, takeout, and delivery, and it has always been consistent. This weekend I tried La Revolución for the first time. I have to say the food here is on the same level. The quesabirrias were amazing, so full of flavors and juicy meat, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. You get a choice of two or three. I went with three. We are talking food coma. Eat this and go take a nap. My wife's tacos were also very good. In addition to tacos, we got the frijoles con cream y chicharrón and the elote. Both were excellent. I would re-order everything. I believe that if this quality remains consistent after multiple visits, this could very well become my new favorite Mexican restaurant in PR. The restaurant is located in a strip mall at the base of Borinquen Towers; hence, parking is shared with other businesses. Depending on the day and time, you will find parking to be easier or difficult. We went on Saturday, at around noon, and found a space quickly. There are two tables outside. The rest is indoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient. Fun fact: one of the waitresses used to work at Callejeros. I guess she knows the good stuff. Vibe is cool. I really dug the shelf with a couple cookbooks. They have two that I own: Oaxaca: Home Cooking from the Heart of Mexico from Bricia López and Javier Cabral of Guelaguetza in LA and Guerilla Tacos from Wes Avila of Guerilla Tacos, also in LA. Excellent Mexican food. Quite possibly the best I've had on the island. The elote is definitely the best I've had. I highly recommend it. I also recommend the frijoles with chicharrón. Tacos are top notch, as well as the quesabirria. Every bite was rich and bursting with flavor. The margarita, however, was probably the weakest thing I ordered. It was good, but too sweet. I also had the margarita de tamarindo. That was better. For dessert they have churros. Too bad we were so full, we didn't have room for them. Next time. I recommend checking this place out. Excellent, authentic Mexican food. I believe this is the original location, as they have a few locations. We enjoyed the flautas ahogadas of chicken or potatoes and chorizo, the empanaditas, and the churros. Service was excellent, quick, and efficient. Decided to try this new place for my mother in law's birthday and honestly we all agreed to not return‍ We were seated quickly despite it was a Friday night at 7pm and they were pretty packed. First things first, the music is SO LOUD you can barely talk to each other in the table nor to the staff. Our waitress was not in the best mood, and every time we asked something her answer was just " yeah it's good" and she seemed pretty impatient because we asked a lot and we couldn't hear her because of the music. I mean, it was our first time visiting The food and the drinks arrived and again our waitress disappeared. One of our tacos literally had NO MEAT. We ask if the plate is like that (with little to no protein) and the waitress just said yes. We returned the plate and cancelled it. The Guacamole was really good tho. This place has parking out front if you can find it. The interior is open and can be loud. There is a bar if you are waiting for a table. Service was great the first time we went. The second and third time, it felt like the servers were distracted but still did their job. Pricing is a bit high, especially for the portions received. We didn't receive only 4 chips like another person posted, but the amount of food for the price was a let down. The food itself has always been tasty. And their margaritas are spot on. La Revolución serves up a very good margarita. At least they have the last four times I've had one. Anyway, we ordered the tacos al pastor and tacos de carne asada this time. Both we're delicious. But again, I feel that the amount of food is too little for the price paid. I recommend this place for the margaritas. But the food, while tasty, is too little for the price. We found this restaurant while visiting Puerto Rico and my family was so happy we did. There service was excellent. They practice safe measures during these times of Covid. No menus the bring these standing slabs that has everything they offer on the menu written on them they had hand sanitizers on every table. They were very nice and friendly. We ordered barria taco's & regular street tacos, quesadillas and Queso everything tasted soooo good and the frozen mango and strawberry margaritas was everything. The Establishment was very clean floors and all bathroom as well. Needless to say we have a wonderful time at this restaurant and recommend it to anyone that comes to Puerto Rico because we have been to plenty other restaurants and did not get good food Oregon services that we received there. Wasn't crowded when I went in for dinner, but filled up and was very full when I left. I had tacos, side of beans and a mezcal old fashioned. Tacos are soft and corn but beef and chicken were both tasty. The mezcal old fashioned nice and smoky like your would expect, delicious. The staff friendly and attentive. This restaurant was horrible a horrible experience for me and my children I am from a part of America where Spanish is not spoken often so my children don't know it and they made 2 mistakes in pronouncing their orders and the waitress gave them a stank look and yelled at them how to say it. After waiting a whole hour for our appetizer to arrive it wasn't even good we ordered chips and queso the chips were stale and unseasoned and the queso was plastic like and cold. Then after waiting another 45 minutes our food was disgusting I order the CARNITAS EN MOLE DE GUAYABA and I regret it, it was actually the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted, it was dry, old, unseasoned, and greasy. This experience seemed like it would be good but it was not we walked into the restaurant and were greeted kindly so we thought it would be great but then our server was not so great nor our food, our food tasted dry, old, and unseasoned. Yet our server was worse she had an attitude and was RACIST me and BLACK family went to eat and she treated us like TRASH, you might be like "your server was probably just not a good server it doesn't mean she's racist" but no she was only treating people who were not of me and my family's color. I was shocked with the prices, its is so expensive its ridiculous. The place is beautiful and the food is good but they really do need to adjust their price point. Got some guacamole. It came with 4 CHIPS. Yep. You read right. 4 chips. I dont get it. So we ordered more chips, and of course, got charged for those. Its a brand new place, with one of the islands most popular mexican places just down the road and La Revolucion is not even trying to compete and hook people. Makes me sad because i dont think this place will last long if they dont change their strategy. We are not going back. read more

What a great find! My friend and I each ordered a margarita. Mine was a Classic and hers was made with mescal. They were both very good but she would have liked hers a little stronger. We ordered two dishes to share and they were plenty to satisfy us for dinner. We were delighted with appetizing appearance of the food but were really wowed by the burst of flavors in both our sopes and the mulitas. Yum! We will be back! read more

The food is very good but it has the worst service in all the island. It is like a running joke. Every time someone goes they immediately get asked how was the service? It is a shame because the food is good but the service is so bad that you will just have a horrible experience. Also their margaritas are basically a $10 juice. If they sit you outside towards the take out window pass! They will cometely forget about you and then the waiters will give you attitude when you ask for your food. Then they will never give you your plate and utensils and you will hace to get up and get it. AGAIN, horrible service!!!
