Well I worked in Mexico for a few years. But had given up on finding real Mexican food. Not Burritos but Cochinita Pibil, Carnitas Bravas and authentic side dishes. I otdered the Carnitas, WOW. Real Mexican Adobo with fall apart Pork. I needed extra Tortillas. A Jarritos de tamarindo to close out Lunch. I no longer have to get on a plane, just drive over to la revolucion. On the menu are also fusion dishes that I plan to try next time.

We were recommended this spot from another local Mexican spot, (which was AMAZING by the way) Great food, horrible service. Server had a rude attitude, not attentive or service oriented. If it wasn't for the negative experience with staff, I would've returned. The elotes were also delicious

My favorite Mexican restaurant in PR is Callejeros. I've had their food multiple times, for dine-in, takeout, and delivery, and it has always been consistent. This weekend I tried La Revolución for the first time. I have to say the food here is on the same level. The quesabirrias were amazing, so full of flavors and juicy meat, which was seasoned and cooked perfectly. You get a choice of two or three. I went with three. We are talking food coma. Eat this and go take a nap. My wife's tacos were also very good. In addition to tacos, we got the frijoles con cream y chicharrón and the elote. Both were excellent. I would re-order everything. I believe that if this quality remains consistent after multiple visits, this could very well become my new favorite Mexican restaurant in PR. The restaurant is located in a strip mall at the base of Borinquen Towers; hence, parking is shared with other businesses. Depending on the day and time, you will find parking to be easier or difficult. We went on Saturday, at around noon, and found a space quickly. There are two tables outside. The rest is indoor seating. Service was friendly and efficient. Fun fact: one of the waitresses used to work at Callejeros. I guess she knows the good stuff. Vibe is cool. I really dug the shelf with a couple cookbooks. They have two that I own: Oaxaca: Home Cooking from the Heart of Mexico from Bricia López and Javier Cabral of Guelaguetza in LA and Guerilla Tacos from Wes Avila of Guerilla Tacos, also in LA. Good stuff.

Excellent Mexican food. Quite possibly the best I've had on the island. The elote is definitely the best I've had. I highly recommend it. I also recommend the frijoles with chicharrón. Tacos are top notch, as well as the quesabirria. Every bite was rich and bursting with flavor. The margarita, however, was probably the weakest thing I ordered. It was good, but too sweet. I also had the margarita de tamarindo. That was better. For dessert they have churros. Too bad we were so full, we didn't have room for them. Next time. I recommend checking this place out. It is worth it.

Food- probably the best mexican food we have had in PR yet. Staff- they are super friendly and helpful Ambiance- loved the seating and decor on the walls. Completed the Mexican vibes for sure.

This place has parking out front if you can find it. The interior is open and can be loud. There is a bar if you are waiting for a table. Service was great the first time we went. The second and third time, it felt like the servers were distracted but still did their job. Pricing is a bit high, especially for the portions received. We didn't receive only 4 chips like another person posted, but the amount of food for the price was a let down. The food itself has always been tasty. And their margaritas are spot on. La Revolución serves up a very good margarita. At least they have the last four times I've had one. Anyway, we ordered the tacos al pastor and tacos de carne asada this time. Both we're delicious. But again, I feel that the amount of food is too little for the price paid. I recommend this place for the margaritas. But the food, while tasty, is too little for the price. This is the reason I gave it less than 5 stars.

Previous reviewers docked this gem stars for pricing. IMNSHO, stars aren't the place to report that. $$$$'s are. The food is some of the best authentic style Mexican I've had on the island. My elote was absolutely the best I've had here. The homemade hot sauces are also top notch. If you come before 3pm on a weekday, you'll get 3 tacos for $10 which isn't bad at all. Yes, prices are relatively high for the neighborhood, but you get what you pay for. Give it a try!

Puñeta que rico!!!! Mejores tacos de birria en mi vida y e viajado a México varias veces. House margaritas riquísimas también. Y el Mezcal Old Fashioned tremendo.

This is my family as we posed outside the restaurant after eating. All smiles and a full satisfied belly.

We found this restaurant while visiting Puerto Rico and my family was so happy we did. There service was excellent. They practice safe measures during these times of Covid. No menus the bring these standing slabs that has everything they offer on the menu written on them they had hand sanitizers on every table. They were very nice and friendly. We ordered barria taco's & regular street tacos, quesadillas and Queso everything tasted soooo good and the frozen mango and strawberry margaritas was everything. The Establishment was very clean floors and all bathroom as well. Needless to say we have a wonderful time at this restaurant and recommend it to anyone that comes to Puerto Rico because we have been to plenty other restaurants and did not get good food Oregon services that we received there. So you're in Puerto Rico this is a must do restaurant you will you won't be sorry.

Wow! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted! (And I work at an amazing Mexican restaurant so that says a lot) Ray was our server and he was super nice! Had the quesabirria tacos that were to die for!! Great place to grab lunch!

Excellent food! Vey tasty . The place was packed (even though the Executive Order mandate of a 50% capacity) but everyone was wearing their mask when not eating or drinking). The service was a little bit slow but in general was ok. (Not assigned to a specific server). In general recommended.

Chicken and beef tacos with a side of beans and you can just see the mezcal old fashioned.

This is a very popular place so I recommend calling to make a reservation, especially if you plan on coming with a large group. They have one large table inside. Other than that it's 2-4 person tables (indoor and outdoor) and the counter at the bar. The tables can obviously be placed together for bigger groups. Still, make a reservation. The interior decor seems to be all over the place, but it works, creating a cool hip vibe. We started out with the queso fundido and tuna creo rolls. Both were good. I'd reorder them. I would like to note that they don't automatically serve you chips and salsa. Older reviews mention they are complimentary but newer reviews state that is no longer the case. You have to ask for them and they'll charge you. We didn't ask for them because the queso fundido comes with chips. For the main course, I had the chimichanga. I saw a photo one one with melted cheese over it (gratinado). The one I received had a creamy cilantro based sauce. It was delicious, and with crema on the side... wow. I will definitely get this again. My mom had the encebollado tacos. She could only eat two of the three that came with the order. I ate it the next day. Yum. The only disappointment were the churros. They weren't bad, just average. And after a great meal, average didn't cut it.

Having said that, I keep coming back disappointed time and again because the service is pretty bad and the prices compared to portion size (depending on what you order) is too high. You do get your food within reasonable time but the servers act like if they are doing you a favor by serving you. They also try to upsell everything. They give you a tiny sample of chicharrones when you sit down and when you ask for a bit more b/c the food is taking to long, they say it will be charged. They also add the tip to every bill which is annoying because their service is just not worth the 15%. They also try to make us buy bottles of water by telling us that the tap water is coming out "dirty". So, overall, if you really crave great fine Mexican food go there but be aware that the experience itself will probably suck.

We ordered the cochinita pibil tacos and the barbacoa de res tacos, and for dessert the churros. The flavors were on point. The meat seasoned right, the tortillas fresh. Our son still hasn't developed a palate for Mexican food, but he scarfed down the barbacoa taco. The churros were perfect and I loved the vanilla ice cream that came with it. Nice and creamy. To be honest, I'd give it a 3.5 stars because the tacos and churros came through. But not having appetizers or ribeye (the reason you are prime) available was a big fumble.
