Went to Acapulco on 'Taco Tuesday' around 7pm and the place was packed. We had to wait a little to be seated, but it was absolutely worth it. The service was fast despite how busy they were, and several tacos were on special for only $3. The tacos were packed with filling, meat tender and flavorful, and tortillas were homemade. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. My favorite items were tacos Al Pastor and Gringas with crunchy cheese outside. Both incredibly delicious. The frozen watermelon margarita was also a standout and paired perfectly with the meal. It wasn't overly sweet. Great food, great atmosphere and great value, at least on Tuesday's haha... Amazing tacos and a great first stop once we arrived in San Juan! My friend and I love coming here; it's our 3rd visit! The tacos are amazing; diverse flavors and you will leave feeling full and satisfied! We arrived around 1pm on Cinco De Mayo and got seated immediately because there's lots of space on the second floor! The service was great! Once we ordered the food arrived within 10 minutes. Staff is always inattentive, with long wait times to place orders, receive food, and even request the check. It's common to have to flag someone down cause servers are chitchatting rather than checking on customers. The drinks aren't that great either. Best food in San Juan which I had! Was so sad I discovered it on my last night. The service was quick and friendly. They have live music and it's a fun place to eat surrounded by locals and tourists. The tacos were solid--the tortilla tasted homemade and fresh...maybe one of the best I've had. BUT we waited 2 hours before even getting any food. We arrived at 7pm and weren't seated until 8:20pm because of the dinner crowd. Which would be normal EXCEPT they seated a handful people that arrived after us, before us (and they don't take reservations so idk how). Once we were seated we ordered promptly until another waitress came 15 minutes later and asked us to order. So we said we did. She checked and an order was never submitted. So we had to wait another 40 minutes to receive our food. We ordered guac and tacos and both took the 40 minutes. We asked the server if we could receive the guac beforehand and he said sure -- then we see him go to the kitchen to plate up our guac . We placed our order to-go because we were on a timeframe and they gave me rice/beans instead of the elote I had ordered. Disappointing! I really wanted to try it. Service was slow and it took forever to even get our order taken but that seems to be a trend at a lot of restaurants in PR. Maybe they're telling Americans to stop rushing so much LOL. My friend got a quesadilla with pastor meat and she did not like it. Rated it a 3/10. For my meal I ordered 1 taco al pastor and 1 barbacoa taco. The pastor was not bad. I enjoyed that at least, but I've had better. The barbacoa wasn't really great. My friend did like that one though so that's up for debate, haha. Pretty good Mexican food. Came here after spending some time at the beach. They have a variety of Mexican dishes on their menu. I got the tacos and the street corn which were great. In terms of customer service they are very nice. A bit slow but that's just PR service in general. I ordered the guac/chips and an elote. The guac had no salt and the elote was so small, they literally cut a half corn into 3 pieces and are charging $8. Idk if this is even a thing, but the elote barely had corn.
