I will always suggest this place because of the food and Mezcal, they have an authentic Mexican menu with a soft Puerto Rican touch. The servers are always so kind, I love to come at night time and sit outside with the plants and good music.

Drinks were great, food was good, staff was clearly shorthanded, based on our service and the multiple signs posted about hiring for staff. We sat outside, and the ambience was great (except for the mosquitoes!)

Yum! The fish in the dish tacos were amazing and the Flauton de Tinga was sooo good. This is an off the beaten path place. Very local! Loved it.

El Axolote is a cute restaurant in the urban district of Miramar/Santurce. Although the food was good it wasn't great. The beans were under salted and the lemonade I ordered didn't have sugar. However, I do think they only had one waitress the night I visited them.

I had really wanted to go to El Patio De Sole, but they were closed even though Google said they were open. I had just toured all the murals around Calle Cerra, on an empty stomach, under the morning sun, so I needed foodlikenow. I doubled back and chose this place because they had the most beautiful, empty patio and I immediately requested to sit there. Now, I had no idea this was a Mexican restaurant until I looked at the menu, and I really just wanted rice and beans with some sort of meat, so the waiter offered to get me just that, even though it was supposed to be a taco dish. He was super attentive as well, turning on the big patio fan and adding music as well once he realized I was just enjoying a meal solo and soaking in the vibes, No one else ever came out there either, which is exactly what I wanted. The food was delicious, the patio shaded, the street quiet, and I loved the giant revolving plant. I'm glad I stumbled across (and hungrily into) this place.

The food is good, but service is bad and slow. We where 3 people and it took almost 1 hour to serve us, and the place was not packed. Also whenever we asked the waiter for something it took very long time to serve or totally forgot about it, had to go directly to another waitress at the bar to ask for stuff our waiter forgot or ignored.

This restaurant is a most! First of all very happy of the way they are handling the sanitizing of the space, employees and customers. The place is full of plants and accommodation it is set per COVID protocol. There's an outside area which looked nice, but I did not eat there, I ate inside. We had the Paloma which was very tasteful and refreshing, a friend had the Tacos al Pastor and he reported was super yummy, we ordered the melted plain cheese as an appetizer and no regrets! I had the portobello tacos as my fish and it was exquisite. Service was super fast and very attentive, food took minutes to get to our table and the place was busy. Definitely recommend this place, and 100% coming back! IG: @notyourtypicalcub www.notyourtypicalblog.com

Coming from someone who's hispanic and also someone who who will eat anything this place has bad food and service. The ambience made the extremely long wait way worse. It was freezing. As its summer in PR I expected it at least be warm. If you come bring a winter jacket. Now let's discuss service the wait for CANNED drinks took super long. since it was a party on 9 they were struggling w seating and had me on a table which made the wait dreadful. Before we got the drinks we asked for they brought us unwanted water from a filter and charged us 3 dollars each bottle. Since there was no kids menu and we had a quote a few kids with us who are picky they were forced to get huge servings of tacos. We repeatedly asked for plain tacos and they came out with things after major reassurance. When we asked for a new one or something else they denied saying their kitchen was backed up all they could do was take it back. They were basically saying one person would have to just figure it out. Once everything else came since one of the kids plates was messed up an adult was forced to give up their plain food. During all this chaos the waitress never picked up a pen which would be fine but he kept forgetting orders. After having bad experience with all the entries we had remembered abt a soup we ordered in the beginning. The alcoholic drinks were gross and stayed untouched. the steak was cooked odd and everything was bland. Once we got the bill we noticed the water bill and drinks which stayed untouched. Once they heard of our inconvenience they all looked at us like we were crazy. All the food untouched and we still couldn't get decent service. The manager then came and heard our concern. After hearing on our problem she walks off and ignores us. They then blocked the paying person of our party at the door acting as if we were going to walk out on a 200 dollar tab. Disrespectful and gross.

This is the hip new foodie block in San Turce... Sort of Miramar south. At least 5 great options on this transitioning block. This is NOT Chili's Mexican or TexMex Fast Food... This is real Mexican, regional entrées and appetizers. No Burritos here.. But great Pico de Gallo, Carnitas, asado Pastor...oh, and they use paperstraws!!! 10 POINTS for that!!! Everything was great. We'll be back. Valet parking and a $5, lot across the street.

The vibe was great, the food was fresh and well made, and the service was friendly overall. A fun bonus: we actually got to see the famous rock band Maná dining there, which was such a cool surprise! We ordered quite a bit--the chips and queso, chips and guac, hot sauce, tamale, rice and beans, kids cheese quesadilla, and veggie fajitas. The kids' quesadilla was a huge hit with our 5-year-old (who is a picky eater and devoured it). The veggie fajitas were decent and tasty, though for the price I would have liked a bit more on the plate in terms of sides. There was a small hiccup where cilantro was accidentally added to one of my dishes, and it did take quite a while for the corrected dish to come out, but they were very kind about it. That said, everything else was enjoyable and the overall experience was still very good. Overall, a great spot for solid Mexican food in Old San Juan with a fun atmosphere and fresh flavors.
