    Chili Verde Burrito

Came to La Casita for a team lunch and ordered the chili verde burrito and some sides of their hottest salsa, their lunch prices are really reasonable and the food was really tasty! I ended up ordering another burrito to go to bring back for my husband who also really enjoyed it. I wish there was a location closer to the south metro, but if we are ever in the area for lunch La Casita will be on our short list for places to eat. The service was great too, no notes!

Coming from Texas, I am always craving tex-mex style food. So far, this is the closest I have found in the twin cities. Obviously there are places with more authentic Mexican food, but this has the closest taste to tex-mex that I can find! I love that they actually give you free chips and salsa here, which isn't common in Minnesota. I got the rancheros last time and it was great! Service is always really nice as well. Pricing is very reasonable for the portions.

It's simple, never again. I will say the service was good. We were seated rather quickly and it was quite busy. The restaurant inside is well kept and clean. It is loud inside due to the music and conversations. Now let's get to the food. They bring you a basket a chips and a salsa to start. Chips were super thin and tasted like plastic. The salsa must be canned or bottled but it was gross. We ordered fajitas and a chimichanga. And while the shrimp (protein I chose) was well seasoned, the beans were super salty and the veggies were over done. The chimichanga was decent. Some of the menu options were odd. Seems a little Tex-Mex in my opinion. If you've never had authentic Mexican food, I will tell you this is not it.

I was craving comfort food, and this hit the spot. I wouldn't classify it as authentic Mexican food, but sometimes you just want a queso covered burrito, and this is the place. The chimichanga was good, but the queso tasted exactly like packaged Alfredo sauce. I was not expecting that, and wouldn't recommend getting it. But the atmosphere and everything else including the pina colada smoothie was good.

A friend and myself unknowingly came during Happy Hour, it was the perfect time y'all! It wasnt packed when we arrived however by the time the food came, it was filling up quickly. After the happy hour specials and food, I can see why! Ambiance 4/5 Nice open space with plenty of seating, a fountain with common bar, big screens, booths and tables. The place is very spacious. Service 5/5 Service was prompt, he was kind and didn't rush us as we ran our mouths he came back three times. The food cleared up by another server after we finished. Food/ Drinks: The tacos were alright, nothing to write home about. The Fried Ice Cream is a favorite desert of mines due to the Cinnamon!! Its a niceeee touch!! These Raspberry Margaritas exceeded my expectations! I typically skip the slushed drinks, it tend to be cute but watered down. It was reasonably sweet and they didn't skimp on the alcohol! Ultimate Margarita $5 | Mango Shrimp Tacos $13.99 | Fried Ice Cream $5.99 Overall 5/5 Great spot, visit during happy hour! The Ultimate Margaritas alone are worth it.

got the blanco chimichanga, and was blown away. easily the best mexican food i have ever had. truly a life changing meal. the service was also the best i have gotten, even during a packed happy hour we got drink refills and FOUR CHIPS AND SALSA RELOADS the booths were very comfy and it was pretty quiet for how busy it was in there!

A Chili Relleno with zero filling and no sauce. Had to add verde sauce from Trader Joe's

Our non profit ordered catering for our staff appreciation picnic today from LaCasita Catering. It was really great! With horrible funding losses for programming, we wanted to assure our staff would feel appreciated and have a good experience. We highly recommend using LaCasita for your catering needs! East Side Neighborhood Services in NE Minneapolis sends a big thank you!

Haven't been to La Casita for many years. It was just as good as we remembered it. When we got to the parking lot, we were worried that we would have a long wait as there were only a couple of open parking spots. However, we were seated immediately. Loved the decor, it was very inviting and makes you happy to be there. It took the server a little while to get to our table, but once he came over, the service was excellent throughout the entire meals. The chips, salsa, and queso were all very good. Two of us ordered the Carne Asada, one ordered the Baja tacos, and the other the Pollo Fundido. All four meals were excellent, and the portions were so generous that we all took leftovers home.

I was there for lunch almost immediately when they opened. My complimentary chips and salsa were brought out right away. The chips were warm which was nice. I ordered the chicken fundito no beans. While it was hood I wish it came with lettuce tomato or something to add on top. Quick fast lunch was exactly what was served.

I haven't been to this space in over 10 years when it was a different restaurant. It was nice to see this space used properly and with La Casita in it. The menu is huge! It's hard to narrow down what sounds good when you have so many options. Girls night and we ordered margaritas (I had the prickly pear on the rocks). They were tasty and the prickly pear added a sweetness that I was surprised I liked so much. I would recommend for anyone that likes a sweeter style drink. We got the complimentary chips and salsa. Order the queso cheese! It's good. I had the chicken fajitas and they had a little different flavor that I really enjoyed. It tasted like they added some fresh dill. Major change to any fajitas I've had in the past. I hope it wasn't on accident, because I will be getting them again! I also added a side of a green verde poblano sauce. It was incredible on my fajitas! Overall super tasty and I will be back! I'm actually craving these now.

The atmosphere was trying to be trendy with the neon signs, rustic-chic, exposed duct aesthetic. The server was amazing. Incredibly friendly and helpful with questions that our group had. The food was also way better than I feared it might be. I appreciated the build-your-own option for a lot of the dishes. I got a large salad with grilled shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp was flavorful and the salad bright. I used some of the cilantro salsa that came with the chips as dressing and it was great. It happened to be my birthday and they brought out some churros as a treat, which was really nice. The churros, however, were pretty bad. Super dense and chewy. The service definitely added an extra star and that waiter (I didn't get her name) should get some recognition. I would put this in the "group pleasing", "work happy hour" bucket of restaurants. I would never suggest but definitely wouldn't be upset if the group chose here.
