Amazing place for breakfast in the Toms River area. In an area with already great breakfast spot, this place is one of the best ones. The service was super quick and friendly. We went when it was packed and was still able to be seated in 10 minutes. The food itself was cheap and delicious. The egg dish I had was tasty, filling, and the right amount of spicy. We also ordered a side of pork roll and mozzarella sticks and they were done right too. The place itself is cozy and cute. Would recommend if you are in the area or right before going to the beach.

The restaurant was clean, the staff was very welcoming and helpful ! The food was so good ! We loved the selection of choices! They offered your standard breakfast but also not common delicious options .... I had the omelet with Brie and fig jam... So delicious ! We will definitely go back !! Loved their creativity! Also loved their coffee and the fact they had French vanilla creamer !

TOMS RIVER: with a 35-year history at the Jersey Shore, C&G's Country Cafe has had it's current name and location for over 14 years right in a shopping area on Route 37! Candy, the owner, was kind enough to invite us to visit and check out their dog friendly outdoor tables. During the summer months, their outdoor seating is dog friendly, and there's a pup menu for all four pawed friends. Even their merchandise has their bulldog, Lincoln, featured on the back! There are a few outdoor tables where a friendly member of the staff will serve you under the building's awning, so perfect for rainy days. We loved our server's Ariana's upbeat personality and the rest of the staff came out to say hello to Brie. It was such a happy moment. Brie even got a side of bacon as a treat from the kitchen. The menu is fun with creative drinks, dishes and specials to satisfy your breakfast, brunch, and lunch needs. The Cha Cha Blues pancakes (lemon and blueberry flavored) and Eggs Benedict were delicious and there are a huge variety of options. Open everyday from 7AM-2PM

Stumbled upon this hidden gem on our way home from the shore. Everything was fantastic! There was a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. Our server was delightful and the food was delicious. We cannot wait to come back!

I expected to leave a great review for the Porkaholic- which was absolutely delicious and hit every spot possible- but I can't write this review without wholeheartedly praising our waitress, Ari, for being a ray of sunshine from the second we walked in until the moment we left. Ari is one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life, was prompt and attentive, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Not only did her happy glow somehow top how delicious the food is, but I heard her thanking the cooks for doing a fabulous job, and then she let the older women at the table next to me know that two $20 bills were stuck together and asked them if they meant to give her that much money. She easily could have pocketed the extra $20 and called it a day, but she was honest, which made me appreciate her even more. Go for the cheese grits, and stay for the Ari. Ari is a warm hug on a cold, gloomy day.

Our server was patient and very knowledgeable on the top sellers. Everything was magnificent. I decided to try something new and try the Jalapeño Cheddar Bacon Chicken pancakes. Rich and flavorful. It was definitely a good mixture. My sister try the famous cinnamon roll toast crunch. She enjoyed it with her bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs on the side. I order my son a Happy Face Pancake and he love it with a unicorn milk shake. It was spacious and clean. I notice all the employees work as a team which I admired.

The LOs had the kids menu Chocolate Chip pancake - one without the whipped cream. I had the avocado toast which I took off one star because underneath one of the toasts, it was burned/blacked, which is carcinogenic. Otherwise the other one was really good. I had a cappuccino and it was tasty. My beaux had one of the brunch specials and I thought it was tasty but he wished the braised meat was more fatty, but I personally thought it was perfect. :). The diner was festive, busy, and pretty noisy which we thought would have been a good spot to mask our noisy group. . I miss the Brownstone when they had one in Jersey City so it was a nice chance to check out this other location of theirs.

And, no I am not awarding four stars for the service approach towards diners ... she did refill my coffee mug once and then surprisingly just took the creamers away without asking (I drink my coffee black but she didn't know that.). Clearly she has favorites because the guy in the booth next to me got the lovey-dovey "hon" treatment. The Sand Castle has a feeling of having been worn down by the waves through the years type of place because many of the booth chairs and counter chairs exhibit wear and even more than a few tears. On a cold November Saturday morning I could feel the chill as I sat in my booth sipping my coffee (And, I wasn't anywhere close to the front door.). So onto the four stars ... but don't say I didn't warn you about service and ambiance. Well, it feels like a shore diner and I like that feel but yea worn out a bit. Quite awhile ago stopped by for dinner and the food was really good with lots of tempting options. I always judge diners by their soup and the soup was top notch! Our meals were enjoyable at a reasonable price. And, then I just forgot to review the diner. But decided to return for breakfast today after a long Friday night. Coffee arrived promptly and was really decent coffee but the amazing part of my breakfast was how quickly the really wall prepared omelette was served. It was like in the blink of any eye and for many a promptly delivered breakfast meal is a real plus (I appreciated it!!!!). Although the waitress really didn't want to be bothered with me the rather short diner breakfast menu had the classics and that quickly prepared omelette was a tasty WESTERN. The homefries were really good ... actually they were great even without onions in them (Waitress never asked if I'd like onions and rushed away so I didn't ask but these potatoes didn't need onions.). Toast was toast and the jam/jelly selection was universally grape jelly with one orange marmalade. A very good breakfast and I wasn't here to make friends just to warm up ooops ok, so I didn't warm up but the coffee helped, and to do some work. Still worth the food if you're in the neighborhood!
