Took a while to serve us and everything we tried to order, the server tried to upsell us to something we didn't ask for. Then we ordered the dog with candles for a celebrant's birthday party and paid in cash but they never brought it out. We asked for it 2 additionally time just for them to let us know someone else at our party had requested the same set of shots at midnight. They also were slow to bring out even our simple orders of margaritas and our tacos. After trying to order two shimp and asada tacos earlier in the night and then following up twice, they came back to tell us they didn't have any more of the meat for the second type of tacos. They only had enough for another person in our party. That would've been ok if they communicated that and allowed us to order another set of tacos, especially after the waiter pressed us to order more expensive foods and drinks when we clearly didn't want to. Also they bullied us into giving us more of the tip we already provided after terrible service, claiming it was due to someone else helping him. There was a lack of communication on their part and instead of trying to make it right, they made it seem like we were all at fault and tried charging us more for them trying to fix this mistake. My friends and I are not cheap but we were just so upset and surprised by the lack of customer service there was from the very start. read more

Nice relaxing ambience, right by the window , we ordered a few campechanas cocktails, sauce was a little too tick to my taste and for drinks we ordered Cantaritos which was on the recommendation from waiter but surprise the " cantaritos " were not served on Cantaritos as it's supposed to be I mean that the whole point of it's name . Not sure why this is rated so poorly, but we had a good experience x2! The energy is unmatched, all the servers seemed super happy and like they actually enjoyed their jobs. Language barrier was tough but everyone did their best (our Spanish was horrid so thank you for putting up with us!!). The first time we went we only got drinks (they were great & strong) but the second time we also got food and oh my goodness it was all so good (except for the empanada I could've gone without). Great spot by the Palace of Fine Arts and Historic Center of Mexico City! We stopped by here for a nightcap/some fish tacos after going to the ballet show at the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts), and had a great time!! There's plenty of big, spacious table seating available throughout, and the service was very quick and friendly. In no time at all we had our big jugs of ale to cheers with and not long after some delicious fish tacos to chow down on! The slabs of fish inside these tacos were BIG and juicyyy!!! Yum! I also loved the generous amount of guacamole and other toppings provided for each! The tortilla chips and various salsas complimentary to the table were also very tasty and fun to munch on! The environment inside is fun, bright, airy, and clean! The service is quick and friendly, and the food and drinks are generously portioned and very tasty! I had only been in Mexico City for less than 24 hours, I'd mostly been paying for things with cash, and this was the only place I paid for anything that required a chip reader. Less than two hours after I left, my bank flagged that someone had tried to transfer 15,000 pesos (approx. $850 USD) to their personal account via Mercado Pago. No doubt I've had way better tacos on the street. I would say this place is on the more corporate side of of food quality if that makes sense. When I asked for the missing $200, she went and "spoke to the cashier" and brought back the $200 bill, saying it had not been returned as they couldn't break it. She then stood over our table while we decided what to tip her. When I closed the booklet with the $32, she stopped us and told us it was not enough to cover the required service (scam). Unfortunately my tablemate succumbed to the bullying and added a $100. Avoid this place and report any scamming staff. read more

A little bit touristy, a little bit on the pricey side for Mexico City, but overall a very solid spot for dinner/drinks. We ate here for our last meal in Mexico City, and it was a nice way to cap off the trip. There was plenty of space to store our bags (we headed straight to the airport from here), which was convenient. The waitstaff all speak basic English, which is also convenient, but they definitely appreciated our Spanish efforts. I sprung for the "octopus in its own ink" tacos and a marlin tostada. Both were delicious! The seafood was very, very fresh, and therefore very, very tasty. My SO got tuna tostadas, and that plating would have made MasterChef proud. It wasn't just a pretty face, though: that tuna was perfectly seared and cooked just the right amount. We washed our food down with a couple of mezcal cocktails, and those hit the spot as well. This ain't no hole in the wall taco joint that'll impress your hipster foodie friends (you should definitely scope out some of those if you're in town), but it sure shells out some solid seafood-based dishes. read more
