Really excellent food. The Jamaica was awesome , not too sweet. Don't remember the names of dishes. But I had Fish with a garlic butter topping the flavor was amazing. I even ate the rice and I never eat rice. Husband got some grilled chicken dish. And he really liked it. We were with our tour guide and he got a vegetarian dish made with Nopal Cactus.

****The address on Yelp is not correct, it's located at Avenida Oaxaca 31 in Roma Norte**** Had breakfast at Testal, the spot just downstairs from our Airbnb, and it did not disappoint! Service was excellent--Jorge was super kind, attentive, and especially patient with our teenager who's still working on her Spanish I ordered the seasonal omelette, and it was amazing--the cream of corn sauce brought everything together perfectly. We also had the green chilaquiles, which were super flavorful, and another omelette that came with spinach and other goodies--I think it had a corn tortilla covered in egg, which was different and delicious. We'll definitely be coming back before we leave. Great food, warm service, and a cozy start to the day!

Amazing - first impression of Mexico City cuisine. Husband found this place just around the corner from our accommodation. No reservation necessary for a late Friday evening dinner (8:30pm). We were seated right away. Service fantastic. They spoke broken English but enough for us to communicate, and our friend with his broken Spanish to make it seamless. They were great about making recommendations, kept the table clear when necessary, and overall made us feel right at home. Food was amazing... Started with the Steak and Bone Marrow Tacos...omfg, out of this world. Sucking pig sandwich was also very yummy - I'd give that a solid 5/5. Next came my Chile poblano with Steak and the Lamb deep Fried tacos, both incredibly delicious. They offered corn tortillas to accompany the Chile poblano dish which I highly recommend doing.

The restaurant is located in Chinatown close to the historic area. It's not very busy when we visited for a late Friday dinner. There are good variety to choose from at a decent price. All the food we ordered are great.

We wanted to have a special dining experie ce for lunch today and we found this reataurant after doing a search online. The reataurant is conveniently located to the hotel we are ataying at so it made it easy to walk here. The restaurant was fairly busy when we got there, and we were greeted immediately and offered a nice table near the front. My husband decied that he would try somethig completely new, and he went for the pulpo adobado a las brasas,. It was grilled octopus that included a house salad and potato wedges. I wasn't quite so daring and I ordered the borrego Testal and it consisted of barbeque style lamb meat. He gave a big thumbs up for the octopus, and I thought my entre was even better! This place is definitely upscale n my view, and every part of the dining experience was well thought out. Inluding the fine tableware and table cloths. We both really enjoyed it!

Very polite staff. We were a group of girls and needed to go to the bathroom and they ask no questions and allow us to use. While waiting there. I saw the menus and the foods looked amazing. We end up taking few shots there and enjoy the beautiful ambience

So Mexico City is a city that is truly a foodie's paradise-One can't throw a rock without hitting…read morea Michelin rated restaurant. Another thing this city has is very inexpensive spots you can eat, like pop ups or stands that serve such high quality food at very cheap prices. The third thing I found about this city is where this restaurant fits in-They have restaurants that are historic, that opened over 100 years ago-Cafe de Tacuba fits in that category, having opened in 1912. This restaurant is located in Centro Historico-just a few blocks from Zocalo. Its location is a very busy touristy part of Mexico City. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, but once we walked in it was obvious why as it was truly a work of art in there. The walls were adorned with amazing paintings and murals and interior designs elements that transported you back to Mexico in the 1950s and earlier. It was gorgeous. I don't want to call it a fancy place with all the stigma that sometimes represents but it was a fancy place without all the stuffiness of a fancy place. It was a very warm and welcoming place to dine at. There was a lady walking around with a platter full of conchas and churros that one could indulge in while waiting their main meal. I had to get a churro-it was so delicious. We also got chicken tortilla soup-it was so rich and tasty with the perfect blend of Mexican seasonings. I had a pretty good cafe con leche as well-you could really taste the high quality coffee beans they use in their coffees compared to what I'd been getting all trip in the streets. Now when you visit this restaurant and you could only try one dish-that dish begins and ends with Enchiladas Tacuba(355 pesos/$20.35) That's what I got and it was awesome. Its basically a chicken enchilada dish with a creamy spinach based sauce topped with cheese-flavor bomb to the fullest. 9.5/10 Item I wouldn't clarify this as an inexpensive meal compared to other places we visited in Mexico City, but I would call this place an incredible dining experience where one can just feel the importance of the building one is having this meal. Heck Diego Rivera had his wedding reception here in 1922. I for sure would recommend anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mexico City, must add Cafe de Tacuba to their itinerary-it's such a rich experience.

I came on a weekday and was seated very quickly. My lovely waiter explained the menu and highlighted some popular items. I ordered the guacamole, tortilla soup, duck dumpling mole, and tres leches for dessert. Everything was phenomenal, and the guac was out of this world! I enjoyed the presentation and the decor in the restaurant, I'd love to come back!

During a family trip to Mexico City, one of the places I was most excited to visit was Azul Histórico. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. While my entrée wasn't what I had hoped for, the rest of the meal and the time spent with my family made it a memorable experience. I'd gladly return to try other dishes from the menu.
