They had both a Spanish and English menu for convenience. I tried the al pastor ($24 MXN), lengua ($34), and suadero ($24). My favorite was the al pastor that they shaved freshly off the trompo. As we continued to order more tacos the food came out blazing quick. Of all the taco places we went to this was my favorite. It was the closest to what I'm familiar with but the meat was also more tender and flavorful. It might not be known as a top-tier taco spot, but it was simple and the tacos hit the spot.

The LENGUA here is most revered and comes pristine -- raw and whole. It does make it quite the adventurous eat, in the end, since although it is JUICY, it's also got a gamyness to it. This area is always buzzing with people except for today, and I think it's because of the frigid temperatures. We rolled-up on this restaurant after hey just opened up. My biking buddy opted for something light called the tostada de sopa and my favorite tacos are the tacos de birria, so I ordered three of those. I looked at her all crazy in disbelief so she then asked the cook what tacos are these and he states chorizo. The lady then turns around back us and says oh here you go it's what you ordered with a smile. No apology, no nothing. I was in disbelief. Since I'm American, I guess I'm use to customer service and clearly this lady had 0. The chorizo tacos ended up being horrible, would rate them a 2 out of 10. However the Al Pastor taco was delicious! I would rate those an 8.5 out of 10. If I'm in the area, I would probably only pick up the Al pastor tacos and TO GO. We purchased an apartment previously owned by the proprietors of this restaurant and were shocked by the condition in which both the apartment and shared building spaces were left. The property was handed over with trash, abandoned furniture, and unsanitary conditions requiring extensive cleaning and disposal. In addition, the owners requested that our electrician remove lighting fixtures they had installed -- and then failed to pay him for his work. Multiple obligations connected to the property transfer were simply left unresolved. Based on our direct experience, there appears to be a pattern of disregarding shared spaces, basic cleanliness, and financial responsibility. Hospitality begins with respect for others and accountability for one's actions. Unfortunately, our experience with the ownership demonstrated the opposite. We hope future customers and business partners have a better experience than we did.

Prices were reasonable for being in an area with higher rents and lots of tourist foot traffic. My husband said his carnitas tacos were the tastiest he had in Mexico. Not sure if that was his hunger or the truth, but it's something! I thought my food was good too, although I didn't think the carnitas were quite the best ever, they were still tasty.
